The previous macros assume you are using the talents I recommend. They do not include A Murder of Crows. Pet Heal or Rez is also not included in the AOE version or the NOMODSBM version. These macros also assume you are NOT using Aspect of the Beast and you are using Killer Cobra.

I have included some helper stuff, like turning on Volley, buffing with items, turning off Growl. I did so in the least intrusive way possible. They do not affect the DPS the macro does in any way, nor do they cause unnecessary spam to the client which can sometimes generate lag or even disconnects.

At this time, I believe, for a number of reasons, that talents like Dire Frenzy, A Murder of Crows, Bestial Fury and Aspect of the Beast are a mistake for most people. This does NOT mean that they are not viable. In certain circumstances they may even be superior, if only very slightly.

I Have done an enormous amount of testing and it is my conclusion that these talents and stat choices offer the best overall benefit as the game currently stands. While there is no one-size-fits-all solution that is optimal for everyone, I do think that the recommendations I am making are sound.

I understand that for some people, you might have some other configuration that works ‘better’ for you. That is fantastic. Everyone else welcome to heed or discard my advice as they see fit. Accept it whole-cloth or reject it entirely. Incorporate some elements or change some pieces.

As always, I try to be available to discuss or assist those interested in BM Hunters in any way that I can.

Is there a reason why when I use the AoE macro, my pets don’t attack? They just stand right next to me. However once I use the single target macro, they charge the target and start attacking.

The AOE macro doesn’t include Kill Command. If you are running your pet on Passive there is no command included for your pet to engage.

Gween

ALL HAIL GWEEN!I must say Gween… Thank you for your macroes. The stomp one im using now is almost pulling the numbers i sim. Which means its pretty damn good. Are u just making BM macroes or do u have some MM macroes which can compete too? Again… Amazing work on the BM ones

I just do BM stuff, for reasons related to my disability. I’ll be a BM Hunter until I quit playing.

Gween

Thanks a bunch! These are great.
Had to change the " symbols in the pawn strings to get them to import, but man…Thanks for all the work (or play) you do. Sincerely.

But don’t you still want to use Kill Command when you’re aoe’ing?

Why would you use a single target ability in your AOE macro? Especially one that sucks focus.

I will grant that for light AOE, such as a boss with intermittent adds, it probably makes the most sense to simply add a couple of multi-shots to the single target rotation, instead of switching to a purely AOE rotation, but for that you can also simply manually use Multi-Shot while the single target macro is running, or in the converse, throw in a manual Kill Command into the AOE rotation.

And of course, if you really want you can always add:

/cast Kill Command

to the AOE macro and do it that way.

My preferred solution is with the use of a modifier. By pressing and holding CTRL I can easily switch the macro into an AOE mode, and by releasing CTRL switch it back into the single target mode. Then I can easily manipulate how much AOE I am doing. I might press CTRL and watch for the Multi-Shot animation and then release or if it is a bunch of mobs, press and hold CTRL for as long as necessary.

There is no ‘right’ or ‘best’ solution, but there might be a ‘right’ or 'best solution for you.

Hi. Cannot get your pawn string to copy over

Try these ones:

( Pawn: v1: "Gweenn – Beast Mastery AOE)": Class=Hunter, Spec=BeastMastery, Agility=45.62, CritRating=65.90, HasteRating=64.74, MasteryRating=58.88, Versatility=48.15 )

( Pawn: v1: "Gweenn – Beast Mastery ST)": Class=Hunter, Spec=BeastMastery, Agility=27.54, CritRating=36.53, HasteRating=36.64, MasteryRating=35.63, Versatility=29.77 )

My problem with the original ones was the quotation mark -> “ vs. "

hello, at the moment after various tests on all the macros available here on the forum, I can say that my macro is the most accurate as rotation dps for hunter bm:
1 priority spell always kill command
2 use 100% spell say beast / frenzy
3 very good reminder of cobra shooting.
now in raid I have tested on all heroic antorus,
my gear is good but not perfect no tier set and no trinket bis, my average is 1.3 million dps current.

but I want to clarify that the macro uses the almost perfect rotation sequence both in frenzy spec and zoo spec try it and let me know.
