Cymiryc's Demonology ST/AoE

As you may have seen recently, i am moving away from short sequences and moving more into rotational sequences. The downside to what many might see, is it’s stupidly long.
It’s more a personal preference in all honesty and it kind of works better for me to do it that way.

These are based on a 1 minute rotation, they will also be updated as i go along.
They are not based/ready for Heroic/Mythic raiding just yet as i don’t have the Hate/Crit/Vers to go with it.

Everything here can be tweaked if you want to use it as your own as personal flavour.
I will never say you must only use this as it’s never set in stone.

Clicking time: I am now using a G13 (You can use Synapse/AHK or other alternatives) and it’s set to 1410.
I am accounting the +10ms for my latency to the server. The 1400ms is due to casting time.

To get the best out of it you may want to buff using these but as it can be expensive, this is only a suggestion.

iLvl = 804 (Currently)
Felguard is always on Passive

I am not using any /targetenemy in this as it’s bad for pet class and casters in general when in Dungeons/Raids due to hitting mob packs that you have not engaged yet.

/petattack [exists] << Makes sure it will only attack your current target, as soon as it’s dead the Felguard will return to your side, unless/until you target another mob.

To make it easier i am using an addon called Enemy Grid

Single Target: Should give you 3 stacks of Shadowflame + refreshes

what dps do you do with your current gear score? and is there a reason why you dont use Thal’kiel’s Consumption?

OK i have to ask, where have I not included TKC?

DPS wise as current 804 ilvl is sitting around 110-130k dps while AoE is around 150 - 190k

Great work Cymiryc make between 180-200 dps, thumbs up

Do between 270-300 dps on the demoAEO one

Dont know what I’m doing wrong with this Macro as I am only seeing 60k with an 844 item level.

What are you spamming with and what speed?

I had to alter my own casting time to around 1860 to have every thing fire off in sequence but it should be doing WAY more than 60k. Even at my own new 810 item level i am doing around 140k, stable to around 120k

hi cymiryc… maybe a stupid question, but i spawm keyboard 1 and 2 but the keybindings in there … not the mouse. were i set the speed up? or something i completely missed

Mashing the keys is perfectly fine, you can control it that way.

Other way is to use a program like AHK or a hardware product like G buttons on Keyboards or Razer Synapse using a mouse like the Naga.

Often the reason for lower dps is because you’re making the macro go too fast and not accounting for cast timers

The macro is happy with whatever you use as long as it’s not too fast

Actually i have 1 problem that i have encountered and it’s during lots of movement. As a Demolock how do you compensate for moving or do you allow some effects to go off under foot?
If i use my G13 and spam the key and then move, i often stand doing nothing for a good 5-7 seconds, so i am thinking that manually pressing is maybe the best option?

I only hit 810 yesterday and then my first Heroic i decided to move a lot more and my damage dropped off due the the issue in the above post with moving.
Will be happier once i work that out

I am working on it but dont want to push out something i am not too happy with.
I tested one recently but i was not happy with the results, this was before i started playing with timings…it’s coming, just hope i do a good enough job on it.

Having a bit of trouble finding the right delay for AHK on this. I had it set to pretty fast and it pretty much just kept spamming Demonic Empowerment. Slowed it way down and once it would cast there was just so much dead space between spells. Set it somewhere in the middle and it casts Demonic Empowerment 4 times to every 1 cast of something else.

The AOE one seems to work really well, but I’m struggling with the ST firing off correctly.

I ended up having to drop the delay down to 1860 to make it cast in sequential order and that was with 20% haste,

Demo’s ramp up time is fairly slow but flows well after a few seconds

In the script itself. If you right click on the H in your task bar and choose edit this script, you will have something called Delay or Sleep then a number next to it. That’s the delay in milliseconds.

1000 is 1 seconds

ok… its called sleep and its on 4?

That’s 4ms so it’s too quick but it’s all about what you’re happy with!

Looking at this rotation really closely, wouldn’t it simply be better off as a castsequence instead of single casts as is, it would completely eliviate the need for changing the speed at which you cast.
