Fury 5.2

This is what I’m using for 5.2. I took Luis’ macro and removed some stuff and changed some stuff around to make sure Execute is in it. I took out Battle Shout because it’s useless and wastes a GCD if it’s already active in the group (Trueshot Aura, Horn of Winter, etc.)

/castsequence [mod] Heroic Strike;reset=0.3 0,0,0,0,0,Impending Victory
/castsequence reset=0.3 0,0,0,0,Wild Strike
/castsequence reset=0.3 0,0,0,Raging Blow
/castsequence reset=0.3 0,0,Bloodthirst
/castsequence reset=0.3 0,Colossus Smash
/castsequence reset=0.3 Execute
/cast [combat] Berserker Rage
/cast Charge
/cast [combat] Bloodbath
/cast [combat] Recklessness
/cast [combat] !Skull Banner
/use [combat] 13
/use [combat] 14
/startattack

Going to try this now

Hi,

My warrior alas is only lvl 85 but I tried the above and Raging Blow was slow in firing off so I had a fiddle you’ll need to add in your extra bits but let us know how it works.

I’ve separated them out to two bars my main bar 1 and Bar 3. swap to your preferred.

/targetenemy [noharm]
/castsequence reset=0.3 0,0,0,0,Impending Victory
/castsequence reset=0.3 0,0,0,Wild Strike
/castsequence reset=0.3 0,0,Raging Blow
/castsequence reset=0.3 0,Execute
/cast [combat] Berserker Rage
/swapactionbar 1 3
/startattack

And on Bar 3 I have the below.

/castsequence reset=0.3 0,0,0,0,Bloodthirst
/castsequence reset=0.3 0,0,0,Colossus Smash
/castsequence reset=0.3 0,0,Execute
/castsequence reset=0.3 0,Shockwave
/cast [combat] Recklessness
/use [combat] 13
/use [combat] 14
/swapactionbar 3 1

Tweak and post to let us know the best rotation order as I’ve not played the warrior in a long long time.

Rgds David

Hmm RB fires off like crazy for me. I have it on my action bars so I can see it, and as soon as it lights up based on a proc it uses it, same with Wild Strike.

I’m not a huge fan of action bar switching macros, I know some are though. I did do some other tweaking to it as well to get even a little more DPS. I’ll post it with my AoE macro in a bit.

I’ll send this to a buddy who has a fury warrior and see how he does. I would do it on my warrior, but, I switched from fury to arms before you posted this and don’t feel like switching back to test it lol. I think i do have a warrior on ptr that I can test it on though.

oh btw thx for mentioning about the battle shout. I need to take it out of my Arms macro. kept ticking off some dks who i was in a group with lol.

Warriors and DK’s alike use their Battle Shout/Horn of Winter respectively every CD because of the rage/runic power they generate each time. Both abilities have the same value as far as AP gain goes and in my opinion it is worth a global and is a gain in the long run.

I will never take mine out of my macro.

this is true also, but, i think the reason why I thought about taking it out was because I have the minor glyph that makes him rise in the air when it hits which is roughly 2(?) seconds of not doing anything which would be a slight dps loss. I tried battleshout in and out of the macro (still glyphed) and i saw around an avg 550 dps drop give or take. I think i’ll keep it in, but, just take the glyph out.

The only reason I have it out is because I can manage it. Elv’s UI has a buff filter option that shows you when your buff for Battle Shout runs out. There are also a ton of addons out there that can do the same thing, SmartBuff can do it too.

I removed it from my macro because I have extra ways to see it. The majority of my macros (all of them) have been all about rotation, and never about a “buff” because a buff can be managed by yourself or by another addon.

I’m lazy but I’m not that lazy

Also in terms of rage generation it’s very small compared to Bloodthirst. I honestly am always close to 120 rage on my Warrior. I could dump it with Heroic Strikes in which I do, but only when I see nothing coming up. My top bar has all the spells in the rotation so I can make a quick look to see what’s up on proc or not.

Where are they?

Here is the single target one:

/castsequence [mod] Heroic Strike;reset=0.3 0,0,0,0,0,Impending Victory
/castsequence reset=0.3 0,0,0,0,Wild Strike
/castsequence reset=0.3 0,0,0,Raging Blow

/castsequence reset=0.3 0,Colossus Smash
/castsequence reset=0.3 Execute
/cast [combat] Berserker Rage
/cast Charge
/cast [combat] Bloodbath
/cast [combat] Recklessness
/cast [combat] Dragon Roar
/use [combat] 13
/use [combat] 14
/startattack

Works great, thanks mate. Can we get the AoE one too?

Dragon Roar on this macro doesn’t activate for me for some reason. Any ideas?

Guys I have started to level a Fury Warrior for a Herald of the Titans run. Can anyone give me a good macro for level 80 - history has taught me that spamming a macro using un-learnt abilities is kinda fail.

Theres a good and a bad. One if you use Macro Toolkit it will ignore any spell that you don’t have. Second most of your spells are learned at the lower level so you should have no issues for doing an Ulduar right with it.

The bad news is anything that’s above level 75 you won’t be able to use, and that includes Bloodbath. You will have to change the macro to what you want it to be, all my macros are meant for level 90 in tier 14/15 content. They are not made for PVP, or leveling.

Good luck.

Single Target:

/castsequence Whirlwind, Whirlwind, Whirlwind
/cast Charge
/cast [combat] Berserker Rage

/use 14

Isn’t the max cast sequences allowed in a macro to be 5 with a delay timer on it?

People with macro keyboards can get this to work, but people without I don’t know if they will.

I can’t get either to work, so…

Also not a macro’d keyboard.

I have the single target one working fine, but for some reason the AOE one just locks up, I find that if I have rage and am not in combat or melee, if I press the AOE one it whirlwinds, but if I close to combat range it locks and just auto attacks. Any ideas?

Hello Steve, try to move the first 2 cast lines after the cast sequence and try again. I believe having those abilities at the top would cause it to lock up.

I have not tested the macro but it would look like this:

#showtooltip Whirlwind
/castsequence reset=0.3 0,0,0,0,0,Raging Blow
/castsequence reset=0.3 0,0,0,0,Bloodthirst
/castsequence reset=0.3 0,0,0,Dragon Roar
/castsequence reset=0.3 0,0,Raging Blow
/castsequence reset=0.3 0,Bloodthirst
/castsequence Whirlwind, Whirlwind, Whirlwind
/cast [combat] Bloodbath
/cast [combat] Dragon Roar
/cast Charge
/cast [combat] Berserker Rage
/use 13
/use 14
/startattack

Also the way I would write a simplified version but I do not know if it would work the same is this way:

#show
/castsequence reset=0.3 0,0,Raging Blow
/castsequence reset=0.3 0,Bloodthirst
/castsequence Whirlwind
/cast [combat] Bloodbath
/cast [combat] Dragon Roar
/cast Charge
/cast [combat] Berserker Rage
/use [combat] 13
/use [combat] 14
/startattack

Luis,

The simplified version you wrote gives me the best AOE damage of any of the Fury AOE’s I have tried. The below macro gives me the best Single-Target dps but my dps is still low, compared to my item level (520.) Could you write a new simplified version for single-target Fury for us?

/castsequence [mod] Heroic Strike;reset=0.3 0,0,0,0,0,Impending Victory
/castsequence reset=0.3 0,0,0,0,Wild Strike
/castsequence reset=0.3 0,0,0,Raging Blow

/castsequence reset=0.3 0,Colossus Smash

/cast Charge

/cast [combat] Recklessness
/cast [combat] !Skull Banner
/use [combat] 13

/startattack

Thanks,
