Alpha Predator - Feral Druid

I’d rather not steal OP’s thunder here for a simple alteration. Just delete the text from the macro and/or disable the block. If you worried about messing up, create a new tab and make the changes there.

Thank you so much for these! I’ve seen an immediate improvement in my dps!

ANYONE??

Just one question/issue: Unlike with other macros for feral, when I’m in flight form and hit your macro, it switches me into kitty as expected, but not with prowl on. That’s kinda important for dropping into tight spots.

Edit: Just to confirm, I have two different feral druids, one for each faction. Both have this issue with prowl. And it’s kind of weird because the icon ‘looks’ like I’m in prowl - but my toon is clearly not.

I’ve tested this on Elfyau’s macro and it switches as expected from travel(flight) into kitty with prowl.

@Magnum Thank you for your kindness and the time you took to reply and share feedback. Some valuable pointers there. Thank you again :smiling_face_with_three_hearts:

@all I will create a new version of the macro with no charge for the rest, and it will be up to the players to pick from the GSE addon macro the default version.

hell yea thank you. looking forward to that one.

I was having two problems with the macro, one was the Wild Charge porting me to the middle of some Bosses anytime I got out of melee range while doing mechanics, Snake boss comes to mind, you will not survive trying to get out of the middle of his Lava pool unless you have fantastic healers. An easy fix is to add a mod to it in the first line and remove it from everywhere else.

The other problem was there were times when it would not go Invisible when out of combat. At first, I thought it was locking up, but after a week of testing I found it to be Adaptive Swarm, the easy fix was to add a combat requirement at all places where it’s in the macro. My guess is that since it’s not just an attack skill, but an attack/heal target type dependent spell, and even the macro showed it wanted to choose Prowl, it still was trying to cast Swarm, and did at times, so adding a combat requirement fixed it.

Side note, I also added the combat requirement to Tiger’s Furry, for the first use right at the start of combat I have it on a button, now it doesn’t accidentally go off before a fight wasting it, but will still auto refresh.

@Shamintime Thank you for that input, quite valuable. I will take the time to add your and other feedback received here into a new version, test it, and share my results with all of you. I thank you again! :smiling_face_with_three_hearts:

I took out wildcharge in the macro and havent had any issues as of yet. i blocked the firsy part of the macro.

KP
/castsequence [noform:2] Cat Form; [form:2, nostealth, exists, harm] reset=target Wild Charge
KR

then took out wild charge at the bottom part of the macro 2 parts

/targetenemy [noharm, nodead][dead][noexists]
/castsequence [noform:2] Cat Form; [form:2, nostealth, nocombat] Prowl; [stealth] reset=target Rake, null; [nostealth, exists, harm] reset=target null; [known: Feral Frenzy, exists, harm] Feral Frenzy, Brutal Slash, null

and

/castsequence [noform:2] Cat Form; [form:2, nostealth, nocombat] Prowl; [stealth] reset=target Rake, null; [nostealth, exists, harm] reset=target null; [form:2, exists, harm] Feral Frenzy, Brutal Slash, Primal Wrath, Rake

@Solarrius Loving these on my druids - just a housekeeping question - Is there an easy way to tell if and when you last updated these (and the talents)? If you are tweaking them, I’ll want to update.

Using this on two toons, one for each faction. Really loving your work.

Cheers!

Hi all, I know I promised an updated version but I decided to do raids on normal to test possible improvements on talent combinations with my gear getting a bit higher and stats changing. 4 of my guildies are also testing these in +15 and above keys and we discovered so far that the lower the spell queue window (some people use 100 or less spell queue window) the lower the damage which contradicts a bit the rule. We are also checking interactions with different trinkets. In the meantime, I see more and more feral druids out there and some using the macro so thank you all for your support so far, for taking the time to leave feedback here. Have fun and i will keep trying to make this better

So what are they thinking for MS? I was running 150MS and was getting pretty good numbers. I accidently ran at 50MS yesterday because I forgot to switch my mouse profile from my Pali’s and didn’t notice TOO much of a difference in numbers, but it was only a +9

So far best results were at 400 Window Spell Queue.

yeah mine is around 300 .

Im sorry but im very new to this, what is the spell queue window?

its the window in which u spells hang to cast after pushing the button.

there a couple of scripts to check yours and change it

/dump GetCVar(“SpellQueueWindow”) this will check ur current window

/console SpellQueueWindow 250 (change the 250 to what ever u want)

Hi @everyone! I just wanted to wish all of you Merry Christmas, Season’s Greetings or simply to enjoy yourself this coming end of the year!

For those of you who have now gotten a higher ilvl, a 4-piece item set, please share your numbers if you wish from your runs and your settings, in order to further improve this macro.

Thank you all for making this thread wonderful!
