Arms AOE/ST pugging resi+17 in Season 2

In what scenario? What’s your ilvl? Do you have logs?

Yeah ok. I want to control when bladestorm fires which is why it on a modifier.

Here you go matey

First of all, you’re going to have a hard time getting good parses in a +10. The pulls are just not large enough and efficient enough. It also is very dependent on whether you stayed alive of spent time dead/running back to the fight.

But then have a look here https://wowanalyzer.com/report/YwVnChvkgNDPjAQT/2-Mythic++Murder+Row+-+Kill+(31:18)/66-Dretonclaps/standard

You’re uptime is very low. To play arms well you essentially need to stand on your tank and move with them without getting aggro. It’s hard to do well but necessary to improve your DPS. You can also see that you’re not sending your CDs often enough. In the beginning, send them whenever they are up. It will give you the mental training to keep a closer eye on them. Once you’re sending them properly, you can start adjusting a bit but I would say that never hold them for more then 10 seconds at the end of the pack since they are relatively short CDs. The biggest mistake you’ll do as an Arms warrior is not using your CDs often enough and the log shows that you had sections where you could have used the CD, and it would have had time to come back again before you actually used it again.

This is it the log for the 100th best Arms warrior parse on MR+10 https://www.warcraftlogs.com/reports/PVgtkywD8fChdLxT?fight=4&type=damage-done. You can see that there’s not a huge amount of difference in the DPS. BUT the big difference is that they finished the dungeon in 20 mins instead of 30 mins and you can see how important this is when looking at e.g. Cleave which they used much more efficiently. You had 199 casts and hit 680 times over 30 mins, they did only 109 casts but hit 551 times so they were 50% more efficient.

So improve your overall uptime, CD usage and you’ll see improvements. This happens naturally as you get into higher keys since the group is forced to pull larger and more efficient.

from everything I’ve read online they state never hold bladestorm, instead hold Avatar and CS to line up with it. Otherwise its a huge dps loss. I am just going off online guides though, more familiar with Thane overall than anything.

In general yes. But you def want to hold it if the pack is about to die and save it few seconds for the next pack.

Solid build i normally tank ran a key with it so far very strong thanks for your hard work its excellent!

anyone was able to make some “ok” parses on raid? I would like to try HC, but don’t want to get instakick due to super low dps

I ran in on normal this morning for a few bosses and did good damage should be good

Enjoying this macro thanks again for sharing

Does the ST even work? Seems that i only do OP and Slam o.O

Soulcoiler HC ~60% logs

Szorak HC ~60% logs

Thanks for dropping a note. Glad it’s working out for you

Yeah. It definitely does. Not sure what it could be on your end.

I was analyzing that macro with chat gpt, wowanalyzer and warcraft logs and it tells me that the main issue is the
“/castsequence [nomod] Execute, Execute, Mortal Strike” block as it block sequence here every time it enters instead of keep having priority mode

It wont block the sequence there. The sequence continues but whenever it evaluates that block it will follow the castsequence. The reason I added it was to give it a larger chance to use the executioners procs after 2 executes instead of casting 3 or 4 executes in a row.

I am 319ilvl and using both AoE and ST. Should i dont do more dmg than this? Is anyone using Razer Syn with Turbo mode? or how do you all use this seq? Please help <3 and i miss around 100 mastery to have perfect stats

I decided to use sequence only for AoE, cause the dps is “pretty good”, but I’m manually pressing skills for single target because on ST it deals very low dps (there is too much dependencies which cannot be handled via gse). I’ve spend whole day on changes, but I cannot go past 50% accuracy for ST rotation (based on wowanalyzer) so I stopped it.

Your overall DPS is very dependent on the rest of the group and the instance. How large you pull, how quickly you clear the dungeon, level of dungeon etc. Given that you’re top DPS in the group it looks pretty good to me. Overpower being 2nd and above Reap the Storm and Cleave indicates that the group was chain pulling smaller groups rather than big AOE since their DPS is dependent on how many mobs they hit per cast.

Makes sense. My ST is normally 130-180 dps on ST. Im sure you could do better playing it manually.
