Thanks for this mate, i have a coupla noob questions:

  1. someone mentioned about 160ms… but i dont see this anywhere. you mentioned it has something to do with a mouse? Can u explain this to me - why would i need a gaming mouse when i could just bind to a key on the keboard?

  2. Can this macro be spammed or do i have to GCD myself? or maybe the answer to this is linked to the 160ms question above.?

Thanks again

Question 1:

  • someone mentioned about 160ms… but i dont see this anywhere. you mentioned it has something to do with a mouse? Can u explain this to me - why would i need a gaming mouse when i could just bind to a key on the keyboard?

The 160ms (I changed mine to 200ms) is set by using software that comes with gaming mice, so if you have a Razer gaming mouse or a Logitech gaming mouse, etc they have software that can be installed and then be recognized by the mouse for auto-clicking macros, etc. You can bind it with a keyboard, of course, most people use AHK (AutoHotKey) for auto-clicking.

Question 2:

  • Can this macro be spammed or do i have to GCD myself? or maybe the answer to this is linked to the 160ms question above.?

This macro helps with casting Icy Touch, Plague Stike, Pestilence, Death Strike, Heart Strike, Rune Strike, Blood Tap, and Horn of Winter. There are three modded spells within the macro: Death and Decay, Outbreak, and Blood Boil.

The macro does not control:
Icebound Fortitude
Dancing Rune Weapon
Bone Shield (used generally in AOE)
Vampiric Blood
Army of the Dead
Death Coil
Mind Freeze
Death Grip
Empower Rune Weapon
Chains of Ice
Dark Command (Your taunt)
Death Pact
Anti-Magic Shell
Etc.
These are all situational spells.

I hope this helps and doesn’t come off negatively.

Good info for everybody.

I also have a question about this macro.
When it is going through the rotation it has question marks for some things.
Not sure what that is?

Thanks for all the work you do!

Unfortunately for the red question mark, there isn’t anything I can do about it, I’ve asked other creators about the question mark and they don’t know how to fix it either. I sent a msg to the addon creator about the issue, I am waiting for their reply.

For a temp fix you can do this:

If you’d like to at least change the icon to a different icon instead of always seeing the red question mark. type while in-game /macro hit ESC and click macros, a window will pop up, you will see two tabs, one saying ‘General Macros’ and the other saying your current character name ‘(your character name) Specific Macros’. Click on the second tab that has your current character name, and you should see a red question mark in the list and a macro named CROGIN_BDK, click on change name/icon, and another window will open up, and pick an icon of your choice, and hit okay the window will close and then click on save and you can close the window. The icon will stay to whatever icon you have chosen.

I’m not sure what you mean.

any clue as to why my modifiers dont work? like I press shift and nothing happens.

Check if the shortcuts Shift+1 (example) is not already assigned to a shortcut, the same for the other ctrl and alt

I deleted the block with the modifiers in and added them to the keypress variable and that’s worked for me, it doesn’t seem to have screwed anything else up but I’m no expert

/targetenemy [noharm,nodead]
/cast [mod:alt,@player] Death and Decay
/cast [mod:ctrl,@target] Outbreak
/cast [mod:shift,@target] Blood Boil
/startattack

I have a couple of questions. Why do you have Icy Touch and Plague strike as separate casts instead of using Outbreak? Is there a way to have the macro cycle back to applying outbreak? I’ve spent some time at the training dummies and i don’t see the debuffs being reapplied. Thank you in advance  Love the macro so far.

Heya Geauxst,

Thank you for using the macro, I’m glad it’s working fairly well for you, the question you are asking is listed under the macro update. I highlighted it in bold for you.

Macro updated: 06/07/2024: @ 9:55am PST
Updated rotation for better playstyle. I changed Pestilence to go off right after the Plague strike hits. So Icy Touch, Plague Stike then Pestilence will cast first on your target and refresh that opener on a new target.

The statement in the update is telling you, that each time you pick a new target, the macro will recast Icy Touch, Plague Strike, and then Pestilence. So even if you are using a target dummy, you can tab to the next target dummy (new target), which will cast the sequence again.

When using this macro on boss’ for example, it will cast the sequence Icy Touch, Plague Strike, and then Pestilence only once because it’s a new target when you start the fight. Once your Icy Touch and Plague strike is close to running out you use the modded cast for Outbreak to re-apply the Icy Touch and Plague strike debuffs on the target.

I hope this helps.

Was able to update the macro today. Hope it helps anyone who has been waiting.

Hello,

Thank you for your update.

I’m encountering an issue that may be due to my lack of experience with GSE, but I’m not sure. I have installed the latest version of GSE. I copied and pasted the first “Opener” string into the import window and then did the same for the “Single Target” string. However, as you can see, the macro isn’t appearing in my list of macros.

Could you help me?

You imported it correctly.

After you import the macro(s), you then need to set your keybindings. Click on Keybindings → New KeyBind then you will see Set Key to Bind set whatever key you want GSE to fire the macro off. Where it says Sequence there is a drop arrow, select the sequence you want that key you just bound to use that sequence for. Once you are done hit save and press the key that you set that sequence for and it ‘should’ kick off.

I hope that helps.
