No, when using Ascendance you spawn a Primal Storm Elemental, if you use the CD “Storm Elemental” seconds after, you do not have 2 of them. Are you thinking of the Jackpot now?
When Im stating its important because set piece, isn´t because of the elemental that spawns from that, but that you don´t wanna double stack the one you get from Asendance and Storm Elemental talent, because then you are wasting a huge chunk of DPS.
The original post has all my updated sequences and the updated plugin. That was my original point when talking about storm elemental.
I understand that you think that storm elemental should not be auto-cast in the sequence. I disagree. Can clipping your buffs by casting something be detrimental to your dps? Yes. Can being overwhelmed by how many buttons you have to push at a specific time be detrimental to your dps? Also a yes.
When I’m creating these sequences, I do my best to understand the interplay between abilities and how they’re affected by talents and take into account cd’s and timing. I try my best to get as much dps out of the sequence as possible. Sometimes I make decisions on how I do things based on the results that I get from testing even when they are going against what is said to be the “right” way to do things. Sometimes doing things the “wrong” way can be better when they’re able to be done in a more consistent manner.
With that being said, I agree that clipping your buff that you get from the 4p set bonus is a “bad idea”. However, when I look at things like Wowhead and the shaman discord, and I see things like this:
I do my best to go with that instead of taking the time myself to graph out the curve for how much clipping of an 8 sec buff with a 2.5m cd I can do before it becomes an issue. I have yet to find another elemental shaman sequence either here or on the discord that does as well as the one that I’ve created (hence why I created one to begin with). If someone creates one, I’ll use that one myself! I’m not here trying to keep all the credit myself, or compete with anyone. I’m trying to play my Ele Shaman, and am willing to share what I created for myself with the hope that I’ll get feedback that will help ME as well.
Please, feel free to post any changes you’ve made. If I see a change made and I feel that it makes a beneficial change to the sequence, there’s a very good chance that I’ll incorporate it into my own sequences.

Well, wowhead is truth with modification. You can now extend your Storm Elemental, by not using is straight away, since you´ll pop Asendence the first thing you do. But I get what you mean with limit number of buttons! I´ve removed it from your Raid ST because I´ll loose a couple of 100k dmg.

I had a look at it last night (spent probably 3-4 hours on it), and I think I´ve found the issue. I´m going to be running some mythic+ tonight, but here is a updated one using it for 1 minute (Both was without Bloodlust / heroism)

Edit: I´ve done 1 full Mythic+ and half a mythic+ (tank overpulled so group disbanded) and no freeze at all, before I got atleast 2-3 per full mythic+ run. Looking good so far, but I´ll be doing some more testing later today.

I have had some lockups with the ST Macro in Delves, dunno what is causing it. Tried te reproduce on targetdummy’s but havent had any. Realy weird.
Forgive me if this is wrong. The raid Macros are for Farseer build, but the Mythic+ Macros are Stormbringer build? At least that’s what i see when I import them into my build.

I’m not sure why but as of today my DPS has dropped considerably. I went from averaging 2.3m in most dungeons to not being able to break 1.8m. I’m going to do some more research and see what I can find but I just used the new macro and it didn’t seem to help unfortunately. Maybe I’m just having an off day as well though, I’ll let you know what I find either way 
I dont remember seeing anything in the hot fixes that affects ele shamans, and I ran a normal raid tonight and didnt really see anything different.
This was from tuesday running normal raid. I got a couple of upgrades and got to 630 ilvl.
Not the greatest, but actually better than I expected.
