Discipline Priest | Oracle | Mythic+ & Raid | Midnight 12.0 | *UPDATED* 4/09/2026

nah take your time. I’ve not leveled my priest yet anyway but might consider it with your disc sequence.

I am seriously considering making a healer because there just are not many around. The thing is, I do not enjoy playing druids, mostly because there are already so many of them in the game. For some reason, when I think of a healer, I think of a priest. I know priests are not performing incredibly well this season, but I keep finding myself drawn to the idea of a Dracthyr discipline priest.

I will probably create a priest this week and level it to see how your sequence works. If it performs the way you say it does, the game may have just earned itself a new alt healer. Who knows, I might have secretly been a healer all along, and you may be the one who helps me break out of my shell.

This is PHENOMENAL. Holy cow. Thank you for this. Not sure what your longterm plans are with this, but I will be using it for as long as I am able. Thank you for your work, Mob!!!

So I just want to put this out there for anyone who wants to try healing for the first time and needs to make a new character. You can use this sequence straight away. I’m using it right now, and my character is level 14. I was using it from the moment I created the character. You will start to do the things you need to do and apply everything you need. Just follow the information that Mob wrote at the top and you’ll be fine.

So far I’m having a bit of fun. I’ll see if I continue to have fun up until 90. We’ll see. I’ll provide more feedback as I go through it as well.

New version uses a lot of swp and swd in a row, so with like 1 cast gcd between em. and starts off with using both of the pwr in a row with one gcd cast in between it. I think swp is refreshed way to often, or you have to be alt tabbing on large packs. But what on boss then. Swp. swd, smite , shield , mb, swp, smite, swp. Something is off here. Gonna run some more tier 8 delves and see how it does  compared to the other one.

Edit: seems to be flowing nicely, faster then the previous version and doesnt have that little hickup the previous one had. Cant calculate atm if leaving that flash heal out is going to affect hps, cause valeera is easy to keep up at lvl 20. t8 delves gearing atm. just 90, 207 now, trying in some heroic dungeons later

I’ll test on my end as welll. I switched to holy priest for a little hint my holy priest build. I’ll get back to you. I didn’t account the math behind removing the flash heal and how the prio blocks will fire. I may end up putting a smite there and it should even it out as it’s less mana and dps to heal everyone

First, I want to say a huge thank you to everyone using and testing this. The feedback has genuinely made the sequence better and it’s great to see it helping people play the class. I use this myself in mythics and raids so I want it to be as clean as possible.

Raid Sequence - Important Bug Fix
There was a significant bug causing Penance to almost never cast in the raid version. This is now fixed and Penance should fire frequently as intended. Please delete your old sequence and import the new GSE string below.

How the Sequence Works Best - Please Read

I probably didn’t explain this well enough in the original post so I want to clear it up here and update the main post as well.

The sequence works best when your mouse isn’t hovering over anything including enemies. I know that sounds counterintuitive but here’s why it matters. When your mouse isn’t over anything, Penance fires defensively via targettarget, which with Twinsight talented is almost always what you want. When you hover over an enemy, Penance fires offensively instead which is not terrible, but defensively is stronger the majority of the time.

My normal approach is to tab through enemies and keep my mouse free until I need to hover over a party frame for a direct heal. When you do hover over a frame the sequence still fires all its damage spells normally and prioritizes healing that player with Penance and Power Word: Shield. And with Atonement running, everyone is getting healed regardless.

What Changed - Version 1 and Version 2

Both versions are nearly identical. The main change across both is Power Word: Radiance I updated the targeting from @player to @targettarget. This stops Radiance from firing randomly on yourself and makes charge usage much more controlled.

Version 1 is the default and what most people should run.

Version 2 changes one additional thing and that is Shadow Word: Pain targeting. In this version Pain only fires when you are physically hovering your mouse over an enemy. If you use the method above and keep your mouse off enemies, Pain won’t cast until you deliberately hover over a target. This gives you more manual control over dot application and is probably better suited for boss fights where you want to manage it yourself. This is the only clean way to throttle it without using castsequence resets, which in my experience make sequences feel clunky and can cause the loop to stall so I don’t build that into my sequences.

You can also just disable the Shadow Word: Pain block entirely and cast it manually, which I do myself in higher mythics for a bit more control. That said Version 1 runs completely fine without touching anything.

Tested these changes on a level 86 priest through 3 mythics screenshot below showing it doing work on one button.

Delete your old sequence and import the new GSE string. Have fun!

spammed all tier 11 delves for 2 days, just cause i had fun and needed some gear + some practice. easy as 1.2.3 with valeera as dps. Crafted bis staff and 243 ilvl now, gonna start mythics later today. First time since ice crown raids that im gonna heal but im confident that this will rock!

edit first M+ 5

Spamming swp on packs is kinda tricky on movement but it did the trick.
