Moon's WW with Strike of the Windlord and Chi Burst

In a long fight that has AOE adds, RJW does actually do a significant boost to your DPS. I was surprised when I went from 14k to 18k because of that. Now that was pre-nerf, now my DPS is still good but averaging about 12-14k instead of 18-22k.

I too went Thunderfist, because it hits like a freaking truck! I see Thunderfist critting for 15-17k, similar to what my RSK is doing.

Skyreach is a terrible capstone talent for us macro people. I know why Blizzard gave us this talent, to be more in line with a Warrior’s Charge or a Feral Druid’s spell, or Shadowstep for Rogues.

As for Invoker’s Delight, it’s very good but I have that as a leggo, so it’s pointless for me to spec into that talent. You can also try getting Transfer the Power talent that gives you a boost to your single target DPS.

Eventually, builds are going to be more in line with either Feline Stomp or Bonedust Brew. Bonedust Brew might be better in PVP, while Feline Stomp eventually will be better in raids and mythics.

Thank you! I think once we get to 70 this will probably go higher but might take some tweaks. For DF pre-patch its good.

I will also follow your updates from time to time to test it. Thanks for your contribution!

great macro works wonderfully , do you happen to know what causes the read-only on only WW macros?. I have the latest GSE and keydown is enabled etc…

No clue - I noticed that too.

thank you for the reply, glad you noticed as well.

ALT : Bonedust Brew
Shift : Spinning Crane Kick

I have been trying for a long time, the optimized version I am using now can increase the damage by 30%, you can also try it.

Im going to try this one, thanks, i tend to modify this, i have a razer and will prob put the Bonedus and crane kick on diff buttons i can use my thumb with. thanks for the bump. trying to gear mine up before DF. what lego do you use? and or talents. im running Kyrian atm.

Thanks for sharing. Here is my issue, you gain some cool abilities like Bonedust Brew, and Tiger Statue but you lose out on Xuen abilities like his Battlegear. Battlegear gives you a +40% Crit for RSK after FoF. You also lose out on WDP which is a huge AOE ability.

Bonedust Brew WW Monks are very popular for PVP, not necessarily for PvE.

As the macro author, I would not recommend changing this because the DPS overall in an M+ will not work well because you lose out on a lot of damage on RSK. You say you are doing more DPS, do you have logs from a non-training dummy to prove that? The macro that I have easily does 15-18k DPS on M+ (7-9) and about 11-13k on M+ 10+.

I tested it in pve, the peak dps can reach very high, and the average damage has indeed improved.
Why should I do this?
Because on November 3rd, Windwalker was weakened, but only Spinning Crane Kick was not weakened. Combined with Bonedust Brew, it can get huge damage in pve multi-target. Of course, more manual operations are required.

You can choose Necrolord. It increases the damage of Windwalker more obviously

I may, but my WW is my alt, Kryan is my cov, mostly due to Brewmaster , i kind of moved more to WW since talent changes, my damage seems in LFR and the timewalking is on par with the other build… i did setup my bonedust to activate at me, using a macro so i took it out of the GSE, and i do my Crane kics on a seperate button. with my arthitus its hard to hold down alt…keys or mod keys and keep pressing the key to run the gse. i need to look into setting up a keypress hold macro to fire it off as i get older it gets harder, GSE has allowed me to keep playing as im pushing 62 and handycap. im not uber but i dont embarass myself … super happy GSE is around and ppl to make these macros to help folks like me out.

The reason I ask for numbers is that if you look at all the raid and mythic testing from others the talents I added on my first post are the standard cookie-cutter builds, that are meant to do high damage. In my case, 18k DPS and been doing M+ mostly as you can see from my key history.

While I don’t doubt that the Bonedust Brew build will be good, right now it’s bugged, and broken. This is well known and many YouTube curators have also posted this on how Bonedust Brew does too much damage.

You can look at the talents from WoWHead, in both their Raid and M+ build they don’t recommend Bonedust Brew, like I mentioned in my post you lose too much by picking Bonedust Brew including the added bonus to Fists of Fury and Rising Sun Kick. See here: Best Windwalker Monk Talent Tree Builds - Dragonflight 10.0.5 - Guides - Wowhead

The same goes for Icy Veins, both of these platforms are respected for their guides. See here: Windwalker Monk DPS Mythic+ Tips - Dragonflight 10.0.5 - World of Warcraft - Icy Veins

If you want others to use your Bonedust Brew macro and get feedback from others, I suggest making your own topic, not hijacking mine. I’m not changing my build because one person thinks Bonedust Brew is better without any real data to back it up. I’m not trying to strong-arm you or anything it’s just that in life I’ve learned that making shotgun decisions without data to back it up is a way to just get you shot. Send over your log reports, from raids and mythic+, also have you discussed with The Peak of Serenity discord who are the subject matter experts of the spec? Again data is needed to make a better decision, I can prove the data of mine.

I like your gse very much, I will not hijack your posts, I will watch your updates every day, learn from them, I am happy to test, the data will prove some things, but not all, find your favorite way, just fine .

Yep and also none of us are 70 yet either, so we won’t know the full answer until then. Honestly, the pre-patch puts us in limbo because while we are judging the talents at 60 and not 70. Bonedust Brew might be the better option at 70 for all we know, right now it’s too early to tell.

I firmly believe I will be making some tweaks to the macro once I reach 70 and have some gear. Things will change.
