averaging 1.5k dps on 50 iLvl 78 toon and about 1.8K on a iLvl 113. both on raid dummy. i think this is fantastic. great job here Elf.

Can’t wait to try this out! I would now but I’m butt-ass tired and will do so in the AM.

Suggestion: Sim the Tier two Talents Scent of Blood and One with the Pack.

OwtP is the theoretical best choice for all situations with ideal gear (meaning extremely high levels of Crit).
SoB is only very slightly behind OwtP with perfect gear, and with sub-par gear it tends to be better. It also has the added benefit of being more in your control, and up-front burst for Mythic+ in particular. Either option is more than fine to play. Most top-end players will go with OwtP.

I personally simmed higher with SoB after the new Gem recommendations from Azortharion.

Thanks for posting! I’m looking forward to trying this out. I’m just curious as to why there are two macros this time around. In your 8.3 macro, to do AoE dps, you simply had to hold shift. Is that an option? That worked well for me in season 4 :smiley:

@NILER try in the pre macro first m8. @zoonets the first macro (in the code box) is one where you hold shift for AOE DPS. The split version is separate ST and AOE

Morning, thanks for the Macro to try out.

130 ilvl, burst at 3.2, settles to 2.5 over 5 mins testing on Org Raiders dummy.
90% uptime on barbed shot.

Im not even sure where were supposed to sit at now with regards to comparing with previous 100k+ dps in fights.

Curiosity, I dropped the 130 myth whispering bow and equipped a 110 vers of dominion and over 3 x 5 min tests to be sure, actually increased this to settle at 2.9 …

Still deciding if I miss corruption or not lol

Okay.
After a few four minute parses this one seems to be on par with most of the Macros here DPS-wise FOR ME (ymmv).
BUT I noticed you have Aspect of the Beast and not Killer Cobra Talented.
Killer Cobra is the best choice for all single-target situations.
Aspect of the Beast is a lot better than Killer Cobra for AoE and Mythic+ scenarios. It only takes a little bit of AoE for this to beat Killer Cobra overall, so in many ways, it is a default choice for fights that are not completely single-target.
So I guess AotB is good for World Quests and the like but not in any Dungeon or Raid scenario unless you swap Talents before each fight.

I really like how this rotation opens, I get about 6K burst in dps and then it maintains damage at 2.9K dps. 130ilvl Maghar Orc here.

I am hitting the dummies in orgrimar and my hunter is originally geared towards ST dps. I got mostly just criticals very low in haste.
