My New and Improved 8.2 BM

Here is my newest BM macros for 8.2. They are slimmer, then my old macros. They fire off both Barb Shot and Kill command a lot more often then my old ones. I now use a Razer Naga Trinity, with the total duration set at 0.176s.

Please note: I use it a separate targeting macro, instead of having it in my rotation macros; As I find it gives me more control over my pet attacking random mobs.

Single Target: Note: I do not like use modifiers in my macro, so in order to trigger Beast Cleave, with my single target macro, I have Multi Shot bound to one of my Razer’s buttons, that I key as needed.

Here is my targeting and attack macro, It is a normal non GSE macro, and is based on a macro posted by Glamrockcop in one of my old threads. I have it hot keyed to a button that I can toggle easily with my thumb. I use it as a separate macro instead in my rotation macros, as I find it gives me more control over my pet attacking random mobs. Note: This is very helpful for any of the pet classes.

It first clears any dead target .
Then if you have the tank as your focus, it will set your target to the tank’s target.
If you don’t have a focus it will target your pets target if they have one.
If neither of these have a target then it will just target the nearest enemy.
It then finally it puts your pet in assist.

However you still need to be careful about spamming it as it can send your pet into nearby mobs, if the tank doesn’t have a target. If that happens you might want to try the following Non-GSE pet return macro, to call your pet back before it is too late.

I’m finding with the hunter section that all the macros have multiple macro versions. I’m confused as to how you use a different version? I’m coming from a macro that only used 1 key to do everything. Looking in game it self I see the different sequences but have no idea how to activate them besides the default one when first importing.

You don’t have to do anything. The macros automatically switches versions depending on where you are or what you are doing. Take my Single target macro, It uses version 1 as default when you are solo questing, in the World, or when I am in PvP. It will then Automatically switch to version 2 when you are in raid or group.

Fixed a minor error in the key press, of the rotation macros, that prevented casting revive pet if the pet dies.

Hey, thanks for all the work you put into this.

One question, can you explain the purpose of the Spirit Shock on Keyrelease. It seems like it’s more valuable to have available as needed manually.

On my single target, I am already manually keying Multi-Shot as needed, and it is a bit much to keep up with Spirit Shock, as well during a raid. Also Spirit Shock only has a 10 sec cooldown, so it is still very effective having it on key release.

These macro will work very well with OWTP instead of Chimaera Shot. That is what is nice about GSE, If you are speced into a passive skill like OWTP, it will just skip over Chimaera Shot.

I don’t understand your question. Heroic Dungeons already uses version 2. The only real difference In Version 1 & 2, Is 1 has intimidation and 2 does not. While it is no where as bad as Grow, intimidation can pull aggro off of weak tanks. As such out of habit I normally avoid using it in raid and dungeons. So if you are wanting to use Version 1 in Heroic Dungeons, I would advise against it.

I haven’t been online much over the last few months as my health has not been that good over the Winter. I should be on a lot more now. However since I haven’t been playing that much, I highly doubt that I will get a Beta invite this time around. As such I my be delayed in making and testing any new macros for the Expansion.

THis macro keeps trying to place a freezing trap at my feet making it difficult to run around

I don’t know what could be causing that, I am not having that problem. Are you playing with a gaming keyboard or mouse, and using a macro key? If you are make sure, that the key you have freezing trap is not also assigned to the same macro key as this macro.

So far my current macros are working in the pre patch PTR for SL. I still need to work the new and improved Concussive Shot into both my Single Target and AOE Macros, as well as Arcane shot into Single Target.

Sorry I didn’t make it into beta this time so I don’t know much beyond this.
