GS-E/GS-E2 7.3 FROST

Hi John, thanks for the work you do on these macros.

Apologies if I missed the answer in a previous post… How come Sindragosa’s Fury is left out of the sequences?

Thanks!

because it would be a waste to pop all your cool downs at the start of a rotation, Sindy is on a five min cool down, and in most case would be a conditional cast, dependent on which boss you were fighting, why waste a ability on trash?

Ahh makse sense.

I’m new to the DK class and just started a lvl 100. I was reading through the icy-veins rotation guide for Frost DK’s and didn’t see Sindy in the macro. Thus the question. I’m certainly having a hard time thinking through all the scenarios for prioritization of spells. I’m learning a lot though! Appreciate you and John leading the way on this work.

A random thought: I’m also looking through https://www.warcraftlogs.com/ to gauge my own DPS by iLvL on my Fury warrior. Perhaps a good means to partially gauge success of a macro without being in a raid. Obviously not a direct one to one comparison.

Cheers!

I understand the idea of logs, and there are many arguments for and against the logs, but for judging personal use and where you want to go or where you can improve your self play, get a dps addon Tiny dps works real well for monitoring dps in general, so you can see where you are on personal fights, but if you want to be elaborate and really track what each spell is doing use Skada its good at tracking each spell you are using, ummmm tracking ona target dummy for single target is a bit difficult due to other dummies getting your run off, BUT… there is a NPC toon in DK Heaven where you can duel and kind of keep track of a single target dps… granted most of the fight last about a minute… but you can sort of see the difference between burst… but for a over all long term test,… its a bit hinky… though I am sure there is someplace for sustained tests or maybe positioning… This knowledge I do not have… mostly I just position myself infront of the big undead pet and try to keep sustained damage and Hillbilly judge

Just added a frost strike as I was personally starting to have RP build up and be wasted this yielded a DPS increase.
These Macros have become my take on the “Machine Gun” spec.
as for numbers doing some 5 man mythic + I was sitting around 180-220k per single targets and 350-400k+ on
multi trash.
same numbers in LFR often in the top 5 and beating any other DK in there unless they out geared me somewhat.

Sadly I don’t normal raid in frost as im a Guild Tank so I’m Blood spec a lot of the time.
Dedicated frost players should yield more than me as while I am iLvl 852 (in frost) my weapon has had little to now work on it and as such I am missing the benefits of Ambidexterity, Hypothermia and some of the other dps boosting options on the frost artifact weapon.

do you spam the macro every gcd or you spam it as fast as you can? And why is this not nominated for the High performance macros? This should be in there.

I spam it every 75ms so about 20 per GCD or there about, I have it bound to a mouse button to that cycle rate
and not idea why it’s not nominated, i’m to modest to put it forward myself

I’m gonna nominate it, also would it work if you put death strike in a mod key like the alt key? Also would you pop anti magical shield in the beginning for the runic power like the unholy dk macro here: Unholy Arbiter (previously Soul Reaper) - Patch 7.0+ - WoW Lazy Macros

Also you should update the OP post with the newest macro so it’s easier to find. But keep up the good work, like I said only thing it’s missing is a mod key for death strike and maybe putting in Anti magic shield in the rotation for the runic power generator wouldn’t be so bad since I find myself runic power starve something but that might because my haste isn’t high enough

Thanks :),
as for mod Alt commands you could, though I personally have DS assigned next to the macro button for easy access.
As for AMS, I used to have it in the macro and kept on CD for that reason. however once I started raiding it was removed to be used more as a defensive cooldown for survivability. i often move AMS to the Mod:alt function.

I often hold off updating the OP with the latest version until I am happy with its function but I will update it shortly.

I have had a few people nominate this as HP, It just needed a few more pokes.

Adding to the list.

Oh wow thanks for the noms,

OP updated to my latest version

Hi John mets

What have u set the delay/sleep?? i used AHK

What do you mean you have it as a single talent set up for both? Are you running icecap or avalanche? I used your aoe macro in BLack rook hold mythic 2 and total dps was 300k+, on the final boss with lust was 500k.

my mouse is set to a delay of75 milliseconds

by single talents I mean, I use the same talent build for both macros. In the past, I had a talent set up just for ST and one just for AOE, but was a pain using tomes and swaping talents around mid dungeon.

I prefer Avalanche, Icecap is only better IMHO if your crit rating is very low.
and those are some nice numbers.

I just got confused because in your macro you have 2 different talent setup listed and I think you have it backwards, icecap is when you have high crit because it lowers the cooldown of your pillar by 1 sec every time you crit with frostscythe and obliterate

ahh yep correct, posting 6 am before I’ve had a coffee has its drawbacks

hi John

Could u make these for keybinding?? use 1 and 2 key??

When i import it, it dosent work, dont know why

you can make them key bindings, as that’s what I use.
just open the in-game menu (esc), select action bars then assign the keys to the action button.

Once done you should see on the hot bar the action button slots should have the key assigned listed,

Go to the macros window from the game menu look at characters specific macros and there should be some buttons with the macro names made up just drag them to whatever spot on the action bar and you are good to go and mash that button away.

Hi John Mets

Not what i mean… its about the editor(/gsse) ingame when i import your marcro’s. Somehow i dont get the DFST and AOEDF in load sequence top of sequence viewer menu in game. U have a idea what i mean??

Are you copying the whole thing at once because it is two different macros
