hmm its hard to gauge, as i only have my DKs to go with, and its doing it more than enough so any changes i make my end may or may not do anything for you.
However i will ask, are you using my talents as i have specified or have have you changed them to the “meta” most importantly, have you taken all will serve, because if you have that will be part of the reason you are lacking stacks of festering,
you could also tune the loop limit value to increase /decrease the frequency of festering strike to suit your needs. just be careful you may also run the risk of rune starving yourself for a net dps loss
John, this has been asked several time already but there was never a direct answer.
Your macro asks for the talents 1233313 but the spells used point to the talents for 1333313. Did you make a typo or are we to choose Ebon Fever (2) over Unholy Blight (3)?
ive been playing around with this macro a little bit , from what i notice, i only cast festering strike one time at the start of combat, usually get 3 stacks then goes to scourge strike nonstop, never recasting festering again during combat, also at combat start it doesnt allow the gain of 4 stacks of festering minimum to be able to use apoc efficiently, and sometimes at combat start, character goes straight to scourge strike without changing
the festering vs SS issue could be a number of things pertaining to your character rather than the macro.
usage speed and loop limit need to be turned to tour own tastes, using all will serve will also gimp your Festering generation. ive gone into detail of this at ad nausium. but there are reasons the talents infected claws and pestilence to improve festering generations and offset macro limitations to class resource managment.
also the design it to take Unholy assault > apoc combo, both share the same CD time so use one before the other guarantees the 4 points for apoc every time.

just tried it not with some tweaks… changed 15:3, 25:3, 45:2, then swapped, ofc, ST to CL, and i put Ub right after Swarming…
ayeee… works… so far very good on the dummies, ill try it in a normal run ( lvl 58 )

NIce, its close to the setup im running myself although im still using infected claws instead, but ive been meaning to try CS again. was just a little concerned with festering stack generation.

just a little heads up. tried this in SoD normal, and its a nogo… way better for aoe in M+
and it seeems that for some reason CS isnt working as good as i hoped… something changed when i got some better gear… could be my haste is to low
yeah stat scaling once you hit 60 your absolute garbage until you get some decent gear and things like hast and Mastery get good enough, not as noticeable as BFA when right up to 59 your feel like a god, ding 60 and you get reked in the same gear as 59
