Modifiers on E caps

I try to change the key for modifiers, its always alt, shift or control.
Is it possible to set it on E?

You can just bind the E key to an action bar button, no need for inside a macro.

But I’m afraid it wont behave like a modifier.

You can always combine the modifiers too, but it can get messy.
