Not purchasing expansion, will most abilities still work?

For the first time in ages, I’m not purchasing an expansion. No desire. I will instead replay and finish many old quests skipped over in old content.

Is the pre-patch pretty much what it will be? The things we use for BM now will work after Dragonflight goes live?

give or take, you’ll just have to make sure to fix every macro you get, once DF is out, to match a lvl 60.
