Oak Ret Pally Macro DF 10.2.5 - Season 3 Update #6 - BOJ/JGMT - (2/12/24)

Hey @OAK could you share which specific builds you’re using for both macros?

quick question and it might not pertain to you but what software your using to use this macro i currently use mouse wheel and it think its killing my dps i see a lot of people using AHK and such but i find that when i use stuff like that when i got to interrupt and such it freezes the macros up i do use your macros just trying to find out what’s the best delivery way of using it. i currently have a corsair scimitar mouse if that helps

I use AHK and have never had an issue interrupting.

I used many of these macros for all types of classes and I can positively say Oak’s are the best out there. Thank you so much . I started playing wow in my early 20’s and over the years of working developed carpal tunnel in my left hand and had 2 surgery’s. I stopped playing wow in Legion and BFA cause my hands would hurt so bad . I keybinded everything and when I couldnt keep up anymore I quit . I came back in Shadowlands just to check it out and discover GSE and havent stopped playing yet . I just wanna Say thank you OAK and the whole GSE/Lazymaco team for letting me enjoy this game again. THANK YOU !

(BM hunter is my Main but Ret and Prot is my side Character :smile: )

Hi , i tried to hold shift + control also shift + alt , but when i ever i did that my char didn’t use the skills at all and just basic attack

is it possible to use just shift instead of shift alt?

edit nvm just removed alt from it and it works perfect

thank you , just uninstalled Elvui and it worked now <3 , but i tried Control mouseover to heal teammate in M+ , seem like doesn’t work , only on self

2560io with using your macro <3

Awesome to hear all… Here I sit at 2,336io and 7/9 heroic. Glad these are working as well for others as they do for me.

Hi , I tried Control mouseover to heal teammate in M+ , seem like it doesn’t work , only work on self

Hi.

The 8th version macro doesn’t work at all

I don’t know why. What should I do

None of the cool skills are executed when executing the macro

예전 04버전의 매크로는 굉장히 사용을잘했는데

이번 8번째매크로를 테스트할때 전혀 스킬이 발현되지않아 도대체 무슨문제인지를 모르겠어

Random question for this week in M+. If I were to make an action block and put in
“/target afflicted
/cast cleanse” Would it work if there was an afflicted mob up or would it just not work at all?

Hey Oak i gotta say iv tested your macros VS by VS, this by far is the best one. question tho, the only thing i think could make it better is the addition of your new findings on making the 2d strike from templar strikes more consistent, could u add that 1 addition to this macro?

also all the modifier’s with shift+ctrl etc, dude im gonna be real. not many people have the dexterity for that. make an entire seperate macro, with the proper BURST rotation, thats used ONLY once a Minute/30 seconds if ur talented for ex sentence. its much easier to control, and leaves ctrl/alt/shift open for entirely different hotkeys.

Oaks macro is bound to E
MY burst macro is bound to R
So all i gotta do when running into the fight {Once ur close enough for all to hit} hold R, Burst rotation fires. After R completes, Hold E {OAKS}

E/R ARE JUST my buttons it can be any 2 the USER chooses. this avoids finger fumbling in a big way and just allows much more versatility/simplicity in the operation of the sequence.

take ALL cooldowns out, place them in an entirely seperate GSE. thank me later.

IM SURE with GSE u can improve upon this BURST macro:
/cast Avenging Wrath
/use [@Player] 14 {place ON USE aoe trinks here}
/use 13
/castsequence [@Player] reset=20 Hammer of Justice, Final Reckoning, Divine Toll, Final Verdict, Wake of Ashes, Final Verdict, Blade of Justice, Final Verdict, Hammer Of Wrath, Final Verdict

step 1: copy this macro, its yours.
step 2: add the templar strikes improvement
step 3: create the burst macro seperate from the main macro.

i promise this produces 30k higher dps.

im 424 ILVL 4 pc tier, i burst for 270-212 on raider dummy, after 2 minutes im stable at 70-k, from a SLOW crawl down from a typicaL 150K-178K after burst.
iv used this to clear all of normal/heroic raids.

USING this METHOD.

Hey did you rewrite the macro and could you link it?

I would love to see the edit of Oak’s macro. as well as your CD’s Macro, i’m just getting into writing macros for myself and tweaking to improve it little by little (and in some cases reimporting xD)

@WickedWingz
To add the Templar Slash “fix” just add

/cast Templar Slash

to the end of the KeyPress Block like so

Also, reset=time do not work in GSE Cast Sequences. See below:

/castsequence reset=15 spell1,spell2 is supposed to wait 15 seconds and then reset. Except thats not what reset=15 means. It means that if I dont press the button to attempt to use this spell in 15 seconds then reset. The second you spam this button it resets the timer. This only will work if its the only line in a GS-E macro and nothing in PreMacro or PostMacro and you DONT HIT THE BUTTON.

No, you cannot target afflicted or incorporeal with a macro

I think you’re mistaken, you need to read my post. these are oaks macros. That I found to be the most effective in most reliable. My macro is a macro that I wrote separately in game that I use as my burst rotation. Because i’ve disabled all of those skills and abilities inside of oaks macro. I use oaks for the basic rotation. That you’re never gonna stop spamming. Everything else is completely manual on another cool down macro. That macro was pasted in the post. Just remove hammer of Justice if you’re not PVP.

No, I understand that I’m just saying that. You could make an entirely separate GSE macro for just the burst sequence.

I just really think that if u focused on 2 macros that were entirely separate youd optimize your output.

1 GSE for Base rotations [ ST]
1 GSE for Base rotations [AOE]
1 GSE for Burst [ we only hold this for burst CD/trinkets] This is entirely self managed. Only use when everything is rdy to pop.

Example play:
Hotkey:
E=St 35ms
R=Aoe 35ms
F= burst 35ms [hold to complete]

Opener:
F= every 60 seconds hold “this changes on ur trinket cd” entirely self managed.
E= st hold
R= aoe hold

This method cleans up the macros.
Makes them faster to respond to there specific role.
And avoids any future shift/alt/ctrl bugs.

Please try this for me once. And tell me your thoughts.

I would work off your macro that i pasted so u know what vs i thought was the best, and never gave me an issue. It produced 30% higher dps. And i think is your best macro.
