Oak Ret Pally Macro DF 10.2.6/7 - Season 4 Update #3 - UPDATED BASIC VERSIONs (4/27/24)

Alrighty… New update. These are quite a bit different. I put Wake of Ashes, Final Reckoning, Execution Sentence, Divine Toll, Avenging Wrath, Ultimate Potion of Power all on the Shift&Alt modifier.

The way that I did this changes depending on if you have Final Reckoning or Execution Sentence chosen in that choice node.

For FINAL RECKONING, it will line it up in such a way that it will do Final Reckoning first with Divine Toll after (as they both have 1m cooldowns). You can hit the same Shift&Alt modifier every 30s and it will fire Wake of Ashes.

For EXECUTION SENTENCE, it will line it up in such a way that it will do Execution Sentence followed by Wake of Ashes (as they both have 30s cooldowns). You can hit the same Shift&Alt modifier every minute and it will fire Divine Toll.

To play optimally you’ll want to watch your cooldowns and your holy power and wait to press the Shift&Alt modifier till you need more holy power before you fire Wake of Ashes or Divine Toll.

The other big change is… it doesn’t miss Templar Slash… like ever… Turns out that putting it into the keypress part, the fact that it’s not a spell until after you Templar Strike, makes it so it being in the keypress doesn’t lock up the macro and shoots it to the top when you start the combo making it fire every time. I don’t know if this is exactly a good thing, but, supposedly you aren’t supposed to miss a slash if you started a strike…

So, these are less lazy these days, but they work well for me. Fire at 30ms.
I use the wowhead single target templar strikes raid build

def like it but wake off macro not fan

I will surely try it as soon as i can.
May i ask why this change? i was using latest (before this) release and worked like a charm, do u notice a dps increase with this new one?

I like how templar strikes gets used more often however don’t like that wake of ashes is on the modifier And I think you need to rethink this because say for example you’re about to finish a pack off before a boss you’ll have to decide between using wake of ashes and blowing all your cds on this pack or not using wake of ashes and doing less dps so that the macro doesnt use all your cds

And it just doesnt seem to flow so well and it’s also another thing you’ll have to think about. I think that correcting the templar strikes was fantastic however gaain please rethink wake of ashes on cds

i think that in his idea, since wake of ashes got 30s cd while big cds are on a 1 min cd, you could use wake of ashes to better manage holy power, i.e. to gain holy power (wake of ashes gives 3 charges) before spamming big cds that is always better to activate at full holy power.
Ofc it is a change from previous macro version and need more attention to cooldown.
And, ofc, oak should maybe release this same new version but with wake of ashes without modifier.

Hey everyone. The reason for the change is that like Cardo11 said, it lets you blow Wake of Ashes when you need the holy power AND I personally found with it baked into the macro instead of being on a modifier, that often it would pop Wake of Ashes when you aren’t positioned well for it to go off. IE when you are running in to a pack of mobs but aren’t in range, happen to be facing away from mobs, or any other number of times that Wake of Ashes can be WASTED instead of being used as intended.

Now, I can work on making a second version with it baked back into the rotation, but I won’t be using that version. Also, I use the Alt modifier and Shift modifier individually for many other hotkeys and CTRL is being used for Word of Glory, so, another option would be to put Wake of Ashes on a different modifiers, but I dont have a whole lot else that I can use. (Available Modifiers = CTRL&ALT hurts my hand to do, CTRL&SHIFT also hurts my hand to use) Basically I make these macros for ME and just share them for others to use as they choose.

What i’ve just done is removed wake of ashes from the macro entirely its best of both worlds you get hp when you need it and you dont waste it in the circumstances you’ve just said and you dont waste it with other cds I love your macros dude I also change the modifiers to just use ctrl for the cds and ive changed shift to word of glory that works for me personally. Amazing how far this macro has progressed!

Perfect. That’s what I’m saying, you can use my macro and personalize it for what you want/need.

one question in your macros i see mod alt/shift is that mean i can type alt or shift not togheter? cause i change this everytime only on ALT cause is hard for me to use them both

Hi there @OAK

For some reason since the last couple of updates the Shift & Alt modifier does not work for me.
I have done the clear this clear that in the options and still not firing.

Thanks

Try this.

Shift/Alt is not worked for me;
when i press the macro buttons icon changing but when i click it is not click it

Here is a post from WLM forums with all the possible modifiers. I do not know why Shift/Alt would not work for you, other than the link I posted above.

hi, Oak.
I’m using the lazy macro. It’s been updated recently and I’m only doing Mystic+. Please recommend Talent, ST, and Aoe links.
I was wondering if I should use the Wowhead Mystic Talent or the one you recommended.

The one I recommended should match the wowhead mythic talent

So the shiftalt modifiers work for the AOE macro, but not the ST. I am at a complete loss it works for one but not the other. Anyone have any ideas?

Not sure why that would be. Its definitely strange. BUT I’ll be posting a new version here in the next 5-10 minutes so maybe that’ll work for you.

New Version - New Macro Names
Going Back to: 0AKSTRET & 0AKAERET

So, after doing heroic raid this Friday and Saturday I get it… Yeah, I want the macros to be lazy too…

So, I call these my “Lazy Macros With A Little Assistance”
Basically, they can be FULLY AUTO if you like. You don’t “HAVE TO” hold any modifiers. However, IF a cooldown isn’t firing off when it should, you can THEN hold SHIFT&ALT to fire it and it’ll stop rotation to fire the cooldown instead. BUT, you can let the sequence run the whole thing if you like, it just wont be perfect all the time.

With that said, I didn’t like SHIFT&ALT firing Avenging Wrath and Potion any time an ability didn’t do what it was supposed to. SO, I put Avenging Wrath and Potion on to the SHIFT&CTRL modifier.

I think it works pretty well… If you open the sequence, it will definitely look strange as every block is pulling double and triple duty to make everything fire with essentially 1 modifier.

It works with every build I threw at it. I made it so it works with either Execution Sentence or Final Reckoning, it also works with either Templar Strike or Crusading Strikes (There is a bug in the macro that if you alter the Crusading Strikes block while using that talent, it will need to be manually changed back to Templar Strike in the macro to get it to fire Strikes again)

Let me know what you think.

Usage Information

Hold CTRL for Word of Glory instead of Damage spenders (Works on Focus Target if there is one, then Mouseover if there is one, then Self)
Hold SHIFT&ALT to fire any cooldown that doesn’t auto cast when it should
Hold SHIFT&CTRL to Fire Avenging Wrath and Potion of Ultimate Power

I don’t have a patreon, but if you like my macros, you can buy me a coffee.

This macro contains 1 macro template. This Sequence was exported from GSE 3.1.36.

Tbh i appreciated the version with modifiers but I will surely try this one asap

I would like to know How i can change the modifier to use CDs to only shift or as an alternative - remove them from the macro completely and firning them with a ”normal” key.

Holding shift and alt is really awkard for me personaly
