For gearing/ lower keys would you recommend Templar over LS? I used this macro in S2 as well with great success but with Templar, didn’t really touch LS, you seem versed with it so in general what would you recommend? As you stated you’ve recently changed to Templar
I would recommend LS any day. Even back in S2. Bc i prefer LS alot more over Templar.
No i changed from LS to Templar back in S2, bc it was “meta”. But was around mid season.
And for lower keys, i would run Rite of Adjuration. Not bc of the 3% more stam. No, bc of the healing it will/can provide. Youre already healing/helping your healer quite a lot. Im doing 1mil HPS in +13s. (50% of what the healer does)
With Rite of Adjuration you can really pump some heals out with SotR
Im saying the above, from a carry perspective. Lower keys can deplete bc of 2 factors. 1: The tank doesnt know what theyre doing. 2: Healer cant keep everyone alive. (3rd: the dps keep doing weird things, hence helping with healing)
Hi Orb, first of all, must say the sequence is fantastic as always! Only one minor niggle which seems to be a spell translation issue. As the macro is running, it’ll cast will not cast Holy bulwark, when the spell name changes if I cast it manually, it’ll cast Sacred Weapon just fine. When it cycles back to Holy Bulwark, then the spell wont cast at all, manually pressing Holy Bulwark then allows the macro to cast Sacred Weapon again, but won’t then cast Holy Bulwark.
Perhaps something like the Wake of Ashes → Hammer of Light situation where we had to use “known:Hammer of Light” etc to get it to function properly.
Sorry if this has been addressed already, i did check the feed b ut couldn’t spot anything related.

EDIT: Think I got it working, I changed the name of the line in Block 2 to Holy Bulwark. I know the name still changes itself when it is used but for some reason doing this resolved it for now, will report back if it happens again.
i was looking it up, couldn’t find it. than i realized you were talking about version 2 or default LS not de version1 (default templar). lol.
I’m still using Templar (for delvs, questing and low keys), is LS much better than Templar now? I mean, is it worth changing.
It should automatically cast the new version of the spell by casting the base version. Is your client in English or another language?
haha, Lightsmith, yeah. I think Lightsmith works very well, almost all Prot players are using it now. Does good damage, very good passive healing to yourself and to the group, it chucks out shields to your party and buffs their damage (this is what Holy bulwark and Sacred Weapon does).
It’s English mate. Not sure at all why it didn’t cast, changing the name in block 2 to Holy Bulwark now has it casting properly (Strange I know, considering it does still change the name in the block between HB and SW

I need help with the setup. I understand that I only need to assign two keys (one for ST templar - mode and one for AOE - light). Right? Do you use any other macros or skills?
You just need one button. And it’s for either spec. If you want to play as Templar then 1 button for Templar. If lightsmith then 1 button for that

And yes Lightsmith is the way to go. If you go up a few posts you can see my parses with Version 3. Which is by far the best LS sequence

guess i have to dive in to see what the differences are between version 1 and 3. (except for the mods, they are different.)
Edit: So far i couldn’t find much difference between versions 1 and 3.
The only difference from 1 and 3 is that version 1 will use Divine toll. Version 3, you can save it for AoE interrupts or gathering pulls. So that you build threat on all mobs

Ahaa, and good to know that i haven’t overlooked anything than.
And yes, i was already doing that with Divine Toll. I like version 3, now i only have to further gear my pala. lol
(planning for a Haste>Mastery>Crit>Versa build. A little off from the meta, but i have seen what it can do.)

That’s in fact rather easy.
Open GSE by typing /GSE in the console line.
Then select the “Sequences” tab.
Click on the “+” sign next to ORBALISK_P_4.4
Click on “Configuration”
Then you will see the Help information screen part. Below there you see “Default Version” that probably has the number “1” in it, click on the little arrow at the right of it.
Select the number “3”.
On the bottom you see the option “Save”, click it.
Click “Close” and you are all set.
