now that you mention it yeah, always thought it was my pc, i play on a laptop that has a 1650Gtx is not the best so i was blaming input or something like that because of it, but may be the sequence reset and starting again i have no clue, but is not just you i can feel how it stops for just a sec too, i just got used to it that i don’t notice it anymore but is there
I don’t get this happening to me. Only when everything lines up on CD at the same time does it pause for a second or so, but it’s because nothing else can fire.
That shouldn’t be happening at all, maybe it was corrupted during import? Did you check the blocks to make sure they weren’t corrupted? Did you check to make sure that your macro button is firing consistently?
@Orbalisk I know you’re probably super busy, and of course you’re not obligated to reply, but any advice would be super helpful and appreciated. This is my first time posting after lurking here for years, and I just wanted to thank you for your incredible macros I managed to reach 3k this season using your Ret Pally macro. It was tough, especially since pugs in 12s–13s can be pretty ruthless when I’m not topping charts and instead focusing on mechanics.
That said, I do have a question. I’m not very experienced with tanking outside of heroics, and I was wondering what you’d consider most important to watch for while using this macro. Are there any specific keybinds or abilities you’d recommend pairing alongside it?
I plan to bring this alt into raid content and M+, and I’d love to make sure I’m setting myself up to perform well. Thanks again for everything you share with the community it makes a huge difference for a guy like me well outside his prime in reactional gaming with a plethora of learning disabilities.
Been using this the last few weeks for m+ and raid. 3.3k rated so far (resil 15’s and 2x16 timed) - It does hang a little bit tho its like there is nothing to press sometimes. What speeds ppl playing this with for smooth flow of macro?
I’ve been running my Keychron mouse software at 120 ms. My in-game latency typically averages between 80–120 ms, depending on the group, server location, or area in game though it can spike as high as 260 ms when in OCE groups. Overall, it seems to run well, and I haven’t experienced any hang-ups. I also don’t adjust the ms settings in GSE for this particular macro.
Using his Mountain Thane but with the auto cast ravager(it actually procs way more then you think), and Chamption’s Spear over Thunderous Roar ( I prefer spear because so many mob in high keys love to jump on people/run away it’s just a play-style choice. if you don’t know spear also roots targets not just a crit buff)
The sequence is very good at uptime on things like Ignore pain, Shield block, avatar, Demo etc. however I do frequently find myself manually burning off additional shield slam Procs, but this is more of a result of having around 55% crit. Other then that i’d say this is the best Prot warrior GSE on the websight.
I placed a extra “Shield Slam” after the 2nd block and at the end of the sequence, seems to work a bit better.
It doesn’t get SS on cooldown, but it’s closer.
Does that mean you added it after the second block in a block by itself, or at the end of the current second block ? And at the very end again in a block by itself or at the end of the last block ?
About Execute. You can add a mod line to almost every block (watch out for the amount of characters you can enter), so you can hit that key to cast Execute.
You can overwrite the Pummel line with it, or when you don’t use Champion’s Spear, you can overwrite that line, but than you use “mod:alt” for it.
Example: “/cast [mod:shift] Execute” or “/cast [mod:alt] Execute”
(Personally, in this case, I still just click it manually with my mouse. I hardly ever use Execute as prot. It uses my rage to much.)
