I want to PvP as Arms for Midnight, so I put this sequence together. I have it defaulted to Auto so that it’ll fire off everything that’s needed when it’s needed, but I personally am using it in Manual mode to control the cooldowns better.
General usage will be defaulted to holding the sequence down and just having fun. If you want to run higher mythic+ or PvP, I’d highly recommend using manual, at which point to start your “burst” you’ll hold CTRL to blast through Avatar, Colosuss Smash, and Bladestorm, and then in the mean time before the burst is ready again you can hit LALT to fire off Colossus Smash by itself. For Mythic+, if in a single encounter, you can just use the ST sequence, otherwise use AoE. For Raid ST, only ST will be used.
I noticed that in the AOE sequence, the lalt modifier is using colossus smash with mortal strike, while in ST the same modifier only has colossus smash.
Is this a bug or intentional?
Since you are using the talent that buffs the next mortal strike after colossus smash
By the way, congratulations on your work! I am a fan of your fury build, I used it in TWW and it was very positive, I am using the midnight version and getting good results too, congratulations!!
I agree, and to make matters worse, on February 17 there will be more nerfs for no reason, but I still think the central problem with warriors and all other melee classes is snare and micro CC, which is very difficult to deal with at the moment.
I doubt there will be any changes to this before launch, and maybe not even in the entire Season 1, in which case a damage buff would be very welcome for Arms.
Yeah I saw the patch notes and it makes no sense as arms is already really bad in Midnight and they’ve made it even worse. It’s like the class developers actually do not have anyone there who is actually testing the classes xD
not hyped for midnight at all. Playing tbc anniv atm, but when u read the classics forum of eu and us, i dont even know why anymore. they are destroying they’re own game.
the sad thing is i want to play arms over fury so bad but they keep f**king it every time i do…… i can push 10m damage and 75k dps in 5 min on my fury, i can barely get 3m and 30k on arms…… and thats at 160ilvl
Yeah, I don’t know what they’re thinking because arms is just not even a spec at this point. It feels like auto attacking.
Maybe I don’t know anything about balancing, but if you play a class and you go to the training dummies every class should be able to do the same amount of damage on those training dummies over 5 minutes. You want to add some variance plus or minus a couple percent, no problem but there should be a standard and most of my characters are at 60 KDPS and arms is half that.
I did some arenas and BGB with Colossus, it looks promising within the chaotic warrior scenario haha… I used the same rotation as Slayer, without modifications, just controlling Demolish (the really negative part of the build, because to be effective you need to stack the buff before using it).
I strongly dislike skills like Colossus where I need to manually pay attention to stuff, so I don’t make sequences for that usually or use them at all. It’s much harder to sequence automatically and you basically have to manually cast it, so I just avoid it.
