This macro set aims to provide a good balance of damage between ST and AOE builds. I also designed it use a normal macro to activate the gse macro sets.

Update 10/5: After some testing, I decided to move a few talents around, provide an option for those who don’t want to use a pet (aka a pet is nice to have for solo content but not ideal in group content) I also put all the main damage dealing skills inside gse with an option to force cast aimed shot to insure it can cast at ideal times.

Important:

  1. go to GSE options - TroubleShooting - turn off ActionButtonUseKeyDown, otherwise gse macro won’t fire off using this macro set.

troubleshooting

  1. BROKEN MACRO error on Different spec: go to gse - MACRO_NAME - Disable Sequence - save
  2. BROKEN MACRO error same spec: go to GSE-MACRO_NAME - tab:‘1’ - disable all spell blocks containing a spell you don’t know - save

Couldnt get it to work with the following steps.

Created Macro
Removed current bindings in GSE
Reloaded UI
Imported Sequence
Dragged Above macros to bar
Pet called, nothing attacked even when I manually targeted.

Did I miss something?

The only other thing to try (assuming you haven’t yet) is going to GSE, options, troubleshooting, and make sure that the “ActionButtonUseKeyDown” setting is not checked, as this method of using the “/click GSE_MACRO_NAME” wow macro command to activate the GSE commands won’t work if it is checked.

You know…at some point when I was younger I actually paid attention to what I read. I see now its mentioned in your original post, and I overlooked it. Changing that option got the macros working, and I gotta say, they are bangers!

The ActionButtonUseKeyDown toggle cannot have a checkmark on it for this method of accessing GSE to work.

Do these sequences / talents include the new TWW Hero talents?

Not currently. I plan to update it later once War Within goes live for everyone and I have time to level up my character some.

Tested with the Sentinel hero talent , Aoe one is godly , love it <3 but the single target macro is super low sadly. also seem like most people use volley and salvo also

Are we able to figure out why the ST one is low? Sentinel is the talent recommend for Raid so it should be good. Is it in the rotation or skills used? I’m not sure ppl use volley and salvo in ST?

My character sims at 603k dps and the ST macro reaches 340k after 2mins on a raid dummy.

I’m not certain yet, but I think it’s the steady focus talent, which requires steady shot to be fired off twice in a row to go into effect, is most likely the culprit. Anyway, now that my hunter is level 80, I should have some time to see if it’s possible to to pull that off in the macro or if I’ll have to switch it to a different talent.

edit: Just finished making several changes to this macro set. Hopefully this will improve dps nicely.

what speed is recommended for this macro?

Ok so i really am at a loss here. I removed the auto targeting from the macro and it was working perfect on both…i played for a bit. Now all the sudden the single target macro is auto targeting even though i still have the auto attack line removed from the macro. Is something else causing this?

Add [target] before every spell… blizzard spells always auto target when pressed.

The odd thing is I didn’t add that to the aoe macro and just deleted the auto target at the beginning of each spell and it works fine, no more targeting. It’s just the single target one doing it.

This new macro does less DPS in ST for me (about 15% less)

Alright, I had some time to mess with this macro set, and I think I came up with a solution to improve dps nicely.
