VOIDFALL PROTOCOL — VDH M+ | Midnight

Hi all!

This is my first time sharing a GSE sequence, and I’ll admit I’m a little nervous about putting it out there! I’m by no means an expert at creating sequences, but I’ve spent a lot of time testing and adjusting this one, and I’m quite proud of where it’s ended up.

I started working on this sequence because there don’t seem to be many VDH options available at the moment. It’s designed primarily for Mythic+ and uses a mixture of Sequential and Priority loops.

The core rotation runs sequentially to keep Soul generation and spending moving consistently, while Priority loops regularly check Fel Devastation and Immolation Aura. It also automates the main defensive and rotational abilities while protecting the Fel Devastation channel from being interrupted.

I prefer to use my trinkets, interrupts, CC and utility abilities manually, so these aren’t included.

I’d like for people to test it, change it, and offer suggestions. Hopefully the community sees some potential in it too!

Season 2 / 12.1 Update

The sequence itself remains unchanged for now.

With the new season and talent changes, I’ve updated the recommended talent build above.

I’m going to continue running the existing sequence with this build for now. It’s still performing very well for me, and I don’t want to change something that’s working smoothly just for the sake of making a new version.

I’ll revisit the sequence once I have the new 4-piece tier set, as I expect the set bonuses may give us a good reason to adjust the priorities and potentially create an updated version.

I used this macro to level from 80 to 90 and its amazing! No stutters, no stalls, no issues! Great Job!

Thank you! That’s really great to hear. I hadn’t tested the sequence for levelling at all, so knowing you went from 80–90 with no stutters or stalls is really useful feedback.

Really appreciate you taking the time to test it and report back! Looking forward to seeing what you do with it next!

Thanks for the feedback! Just out of curiosity, what content have you been using it for? I’d love to know where people are finding it works best. And that’s completely fair about Meta. I know a lot of tanks prefer to keep that under their own control.

i did 11 boutny delvs and runned a few 12+ keys

Good evening, thanks for this awesome macro. I hope you keep it up for the future and the next update—please keep updating it. Thanks again.
I have a disability affecting one hand, and without you, I wouldn’t be able to play this class.

One of the things I really like about GSE is that it helps make the game more accessible, so hearing that this sequence has let you enjoy Vengeance Demon Hunter despite your disability is incredibly rewarding.

I’ll definitely keep maintaining it as long as Blizzard doesn’t completely reinvent the spec! Thank you for taking the time to leave such a lovely comment, and I hope it continues to serve you well.

That’s really kind of you, thank you! But I honestly have no interest in donations. I enjoy making and testing this stuff, and being able to help someone else play a class they enjoy is reward enough for me.

I’m really glad you’re finding the sequence useful, and I appreciate you taking the time to test it and let me know.

agree, veng needs some love, i have to push some manually buttons sometimes it seems to not press some things and they are on cool down too long. going to try and tweek it. some healers i think dont know how to correctly. deal with a DH i think heals have to understand how we work 1st. we are not brews or DK’s for sure

Thanks for the feedback! I definitely agree that Vengeance can feel a little rough around the edges compared with some of the other tank specs, especially when you’re relying on a GSE to handle the rotation.

If you’re finding that certain abilities aren’t firing consistently or are sitting on cooldown longer than they should, I’d really like to know which ones you’re noticing. That helps me identify where the sequence can be improved.

I also expect the sequence will need another proper look once I get the latest 4-set. The set bonuses could change the priorities enough that it makes sense to build a new version rather than just tweaking the existing one. At the moment though, I’m actually filling another role for the guild, so my Vengeance testing time is a little limited.

If you make any tweaks yourself, definitely let me know what you change and how it feels. I’m always interested in seeing what other people come up with.
