Ye in this build renewing mist purpose is to be mainly here to improve the healing for the rest of our spell with Chi harmony talent its +50% healing for 8 second on people with the hot its also help spreading our new set bonus wich is a good bonus

I could modify it for that but the idea was to spread evenly the hot on all your member without even have to select any people in particular, you can perfectly run the sequence with no raid frame at all and still kinda do the same HPS without trouble.

But keep in mind that the renewing mist part when you play this build is one of the least important spell, is only purpose is to apply chi harmony (+50% healing for 8 sec) spreading our tier set bonus and giving haste buff, but overall its result in around 5% of your hps more or less.

Here the healing i did with the sequence on mythic cauldron. You can see more in details the impact of each spell

Thats really awesome mate !
Averaging 94+ is a really good parse here.
I’m happy to hear your feedback with the sequence and see how well its going for you.
Enjoy your season as monk <3

For sure 5/8 heroic now as well, parses a bit lower purely due to mechanics but rock solid. Finally getting stat weight been sat at 80% mastery all week finally got it to “perfect weight” after cinderbrew neck dropped last night, hopefully doing the rest of heroic Monday.

But yeah very rare I’m having to touch a soothing mist macro for emergency top ups. I have switched to harmony though, I think it’s throughput fires off more consistently,

This was end numbers on sprok on heroic last night

So is it currently setup to cast a random renewing mist right now? For me at 130 ms its casting renewing on me mainly. The most carpeting in m+ I get this was is maybe 3. My concern in m+ is just it always being on me I can easily manual heal this but sometimes its not to give my fingers a break and this is the best macro for healing I have seen. So I am trying to get the ins and outs of it.

Here is my log from a 12 which obviously it parses fantastic

Whats your opinion on -25% damage

The healing outweighs is, it’s a ~-1.2% nerf to healing, spinning crane kick is very nice to add for mobility to get out of frontals and incoming damage so the changes aren’t too impactful. Single target damage isn’t a very important factor for monks either because they shine so well and being able to stand and blast, my opinion anyway, since reset I have noticed damage is more inline with disc priest now if not still stronger but that’s not that aim, in low keys at a decent ilvl you can still outdps on bosses if you juggle cooldowns well, not that that’s the aim, just nice to see when helping friend gear alts.

Really good perf specially on 12+ it start to be big key.

For the renewing mist problem keep in mind that its less important in M+, than it is in raid you can totally ignore it when you doing trash mob, the ancient teaching healing part should be enough to heal pretty much everything outside of boss.

And only use your renewing mist on some boss on some mechanic when you anticipate an big aoe phase damage on your group where you spread it on people for the +50 % healing before cast an instant vivify for exemple.

But you can perfectly desactivate the renewing mist part in the sequence and it should run well.

Also if you do that put Rising sun kick in the same windows than the one using Thunder tea so you get the vers buff and the reset cooldown on rsk wich is also an really good option both in raid and M+

I will try to improve the Hot part of the macro, I also currently working on a build variation who will use Sheilun gift with shaoshao lesson

i noticed in that picture i didn’t see strength of the black ox from casting enveloping mist when it procs, is that not as important to do with this type of build? I’m brand new to fistweaving and really appreciate your sequence with how easy it makes everything!

Its really important and an big HPS gain but you dont see it on my screen because i have selected Master of harmony during that fight and its an talent you got from Celestial Conduit heroic spec.
Master of harmony was here to optimise my damage instead of my healing, since we were fine healing wise .

But on my char to give you an exemple Celestial is around 500 K more Hps in average compared to Master of harmony, but i gain around 300 K single target dps as master of harmony

Nice ! Dont hesitate to do some sims on QE Live for find the perfect gear for your monk .

For emergency situation where i have to burst heal single target i used this macro during S1, but there was way more scenario where some target take ton of single target damage.

It seems to dont be the case anymore in S2 at least during mythic raid atm i dont need it at all and for M+ too maybe in end of season on really big key (17+). But you can freely play without soothing mist even talented i think.

Here the macro in case you need it
" #showtooltip
/castsequence [@mouseover,help][@target,help][@player] reset=1 Soothing Mist, Enveloping Mist, Vivify, Vivify, Vivify "

We lose a ton of damage specially in aoe situation but HPS wise i dont feel the impact at all.

To give you an exemple on boss in single target before the patch i was at 1M dps i’m now at 700-800 k in average.

So we are still superior to every other healer damage wise on single target situation, but on M+ during big aoe scenario Disc priest is now a bit better than monk

1M dps with Harmony or Celestials?
I am feeling I am doing something completly wrong then.

What settings should I use for ms? I currently run it around 110-120ms. And I use razer synapse to make 10 hits per seconds on the button I choose when I press it down. Is this recommended?

1 m was with harmony before patch and i was at 600-700 k with celestial in ST.

You should be fine ye, keep in mind thats the gear play an huge part in the amount of damage you can do also

okay.

Gear I am at 662 with 28% haste and 203% mastery unbuffed.

Those are my best logs, all Celestial. (HC Only). We are only a small raidgroup (10-13 ppl, 2 healers, Resto Druid is the 2nd healer besides me)

I am interested in trying Mistweaver, but I have not healed since SL RestoDruid.

Can someone give me a “beginners” cheat sheet on what is required BESIDES this macro to viably heal a key, or raid?

I went into LFR with my Monk and was doing very little healing with this macro by itself, is there setup required?

I popped my CDs to boost my HPS so that I would not get booted from the run.
Thanks

Your dps seems totally fine to me specially on celestial.

If you still want boost your damage, you can reduce mastery who add nothing to your damage and replace it by crit or vers

Not much is requiered outside of poping your cooldown and using your envm on each ox proc the macro do the rest.

If you do little healing it’s hard to see without log but there many reason to that specially if you only run lfr raid, I can see 3 reason :

  • Not much damage to heal in lfr raid so heal would be naturally lower than it should

  • Some 650+ healer still tag in lfr so they « steal » all the heal

  • Your ilevel is too low

Well I think it works fine on normal and heroic raid (my guild is not raiding as much) and we have too many healers :frowning:

I was also able to heal some M+13’s for now

My suggestion is to make some tracker (weakaura) for Jade Empowerment and cast Crackling Jade Lightning when:
a) you are going to waste stack at this
b) you need some group cooldown for healing for some aoe (works great in AoE packs)

My weakaura for that:
