7.1 Brewmaster (Cymiryc's Version)

This is a modification of a macro i was asked to look into.

In this i am using 2-1-2-3-1-3-2
It will try and account for your brew usage and to a point it’s effective and it does work, at least for me.

This is both a fast and slow macro and to make use of it effectively, when you come to a brew (Icon shows you whats coming up) You can press it one after the other, but when it comes to the DPS part of the rotation you need to press at the end of the skill cooldown (part that cycles).

On the garrison skill dummy (Yes i know it’s 102 but the stacks still add up) it will hit 40+ stacks.
At ilvl 811 i am like paper vs dungeoneer tank dummy which i get around 3 stacks but don’t think this is a true reflection.

Anyway, it’s there to test out if you’d like to give it a shot.

seems to work well, i was #2 on the DPS chart and my tank set isnt all that great. i did notice that for some reason the macro was tracking the spell icons for a while, but when i zoned it went to the red ? and it never went back… so tracking the speed at which to hit the melee was difficult without seeing the cool down. i couldn’t figure out how to get it back.

Otherwise, AWESOME work!

Usually will only happen if a change or modification of the macro takes place and you have not done a /reload. /reload should fix it and it shouldn’t happen again or so I’ve found. But yeah the spell tracking is great for this.

How do you find getting healed though? Did your healers complain much?

i ran 5 randoms and didnt get any complaints.

even so with the silly mechanic that Gift of the Ox - Spell - World of Warcraft gives you basically need to be hlaf health most the time anyway. to get the procs and use them effectively… i liked the old stagger fortify brew way of tanking better.

but with that said i really like what youve done here and it works great, if i could only get the abilities to cycle again! lol

what do you mean what problem are you getting ?

The issues he’s getting is a cosmetic issue where the skill tracking stops showing what the next skill in the rotation is and switches back to the default ?

Makes it harder to judge if you can skip through the next couple of skills or wait for cooldown.

Not sure what’s causing it or how to fix it

Yeah sometimes. It’s purely cosmetic and in no way messes up the macro or its function.

Noticed it hit my affliction multidot one too so it’s like it’s hitting a skill it doesn’t like and resets the icon but keeps going anyway without issues

for me its staying there not reseting at all its not switching back to default it just stays on the ability thats being used and not resettings which is weird when u switch targets because you might not need to heal at full hp with exlixer and need to save it or instead it attacking ur drinking or healing

Only resets back to default after combat. If you’re not happy with the healing elixir in it, you can go ahead and remove it. It’s just there to help and to make it more a 1 button job.

I just retested it from switching to the spec and it played out real smooth but didn’t default back to the ? at all.

I also tried zoning to another area and it didn’t go back to ? so it appears to be if you alter the macro, edit it or re-add it using /gs or /gsse then there is a chance it will do this.

if you add the icon and then /reload or exit and re-enter the game then it’s fine.

i did it on the test dummy for 1 hour it does not reset when out of combat hmm
also i never editied it or made any changes at all i just relized it now it doesnt reset back
your right it does reset now i remember the new update will make it so you can make it reset by pressing the key when i mean reset mean resetting the macro its good plus on boss figths being able to reset your macro back to default so we will have to wait but so far if your in a rotation keep going and an adds comes up you have to wait for that right ability to come up instead of using the ability you need at that right moment and sorry i stand corrected you corrected me

i just tested it again when u spam it alot it does not reset out of combat =( and it forces you have to reload ui. meaning you have to reload ui in middle of fight which is not nice

Are you using GSE or GS?

It will reset in GSE once you leave combat, GS doesn’t have that function and will always restart where you left off unless you do a /reload
