1-button affliction for starters

This seems to go OK as a very early macro…quite smooth DPS at around 2.0K over 10 minutes on the raider dummy. Seems to fire off double-shots of Malefic Rapture every now and then, but all DOTS have 100% uptime without much clipping.

I’m sure there are smarter people than me that can fine-tune!

Hi Serpione…thanks for the feedback. Unfortunately affliction doesn’t have much in the way of AoE. It’s more of a multiple single target approach.
I use a Razer Tartarus Chroma with the following keys bound; 01 = ctrl, 06 = shift, 11 = tab, 15 = 1 and the thumb key is alt. This allows me to keep my index finger on 15 (1), then use modifiers with my little finger as needed.
The way the macro is set up means I can tab through the enemies, dropping an Agony, Corruption and Unstable Affliction on each. If there are more than 3 mobs close together I will press the shift button, dropping a Seed of Corruption, one gets too close then I hit ctrl for a Mortal Coil. Phantom Singularity is in the main sequence…it’s a relatively short CD with a 15yd range, so it’s a good way to bring extra mobs in.
I’ll be working on a Demonology one later, and maybe a Destruction one too.

then your macro seems to go well as said above for aoe I put 1 seed of corruption and that’s it or do you have to do something else? other evil ecstasy when it should be used? because it seems to me to go at random or mistake?

Evil Ecstasy? I think there’s a translation issue…do you mean Malefic Rapture (ID#324536)?

If so, it does seem a bit smoother against multiple targets where Agony is generating more Soul Shards, but I still haven’t sorted it out fully.

Hate to say it, but your “starter” one is the best I’ve used. I just tweaked it a little bit and i’m hitting about where I sim!

I have randomly added the covenant ability in 2 places within the main body of the macro. It seems to be working well. I’m sure someone with more knowledge could optimize it to make it smoother.

I keep seeing my shards go down to zero, then 1, then 0, then 1, sometimes more. But i get really shard starved.

Are you using the one at the top, or others down the thread?

Yeah, that’s the one I’m using… 110ms. I’m always struggling to get even a single shard. Using the talents recommended and now changes in the macro.
