Intro:
Hello,
After being a leecher of content for a few months and beeing hella impressed by GSE, I want to give back a little with a sequence I just created for my paladin(s)
It is designed to level via dungeons, do heroics and M+. It can also work for delves, but you may benefit from a party
Put beacon of faith and beacon of light on DPS1/2, preferably the casters/ranged
Always hit something
Donāt stand in the fire
???
Profit
Smartheal, beacons and @focus will do 95% of the heavy lifting
What the macro does not do:
Defensives (Divine Protection, Divine Shield)
Externals (Blessing of Sacrifice & Blessing of Protection, Lay on Hands)
Movement (Divine Steed/Freedom)
Stun / kick, this will be necessary in higher keys
Use these things situational and as appropriate.
Last Notes:
Have an eye on DPS3, because this character will receive the least amount of healing. They only get the smarthealing from wings and some other passive splash healing. But no beacon healing.
If you use the addons framesort or dynamic macros, you may find a solution to automate DPS3 as well. I will look into this as soon as the season starts. Right now, it is so easy that I just throw a Sac/BoP
There is room for improvement in this rotation. Its main focus is ālazyā and passive AoE DPS/HPS. If you want more control, you could add a shift modifier to the major cooldowns (avenging crusader, divine toll, aura mastery). I just send it
Hello, I think your macro is exceptional. Perhaps the best Iāve ever seen for a holy paladin. I have a couple of suggestions for you.
First, edit the post because you havenāt categorized it under HOLY PALADIN, but only under TWW so people might miss out on this fantastic work.
Second, I made some changes to the macro:
The cleartarget and lasttarget arenāt necessary in my opinion, as you risk changing the target unexpectedly.
For the blessings, I use a separate macro that is triggered by GSE.
The macro needs to be created separately in the character-specific macros section.
Obviously, if you name it differently in GSE, the referenced name needs to be updated accordingly.
#showtooltip
/cast [@focus] Blessing of Summer
/cast [@player] Blessing of Autumn
/cast [@player] Blessing of Winter
/cast [@targettarget] Blessing of Spring
I noticed that the spell Divine Toll was skipped too often in the rotation, so I made sure it is used more frequently.
Thanks for suggestions. As it turns out, I have another Paladin within the 70s range, so I may try this one out. Your solution for summer is nice and elegant.
Presumably, one can do a similar approach as a castsequence to spread the holy shocks / WoG around more equally among DPS1, DPS2, DPS3.
I could be completely mistaken because im not super familiar with variables but couldnāt you change āTankā to āDPSā in this variable below i saw on the wiki to auto target dps in your group with the above macro or does that macro basicly do that already? iām probably just overthinking this and dont understand it correctly but figured id share my thoughts haha.
can you make a macro for heals while dps the enemy on [@party1][@party2][@party3]@party4][@player], i keybind them on 1 2 3 4 and R for my self, i find it more handy to heal to press the keybind then to hover over
Meaning when i press 1 i hit still the enemy yet it also heals party 1 more spesific then healing in general
I prefere to let the expert handle the macro making XD, i tried once and everything broke
I like the one button macro for hitting the enemy and general heal the dungeon party members as well
What i mentioned above is with the party1 party2 etc macros is that i more indept heal them.
if you dont understand its fine, i find it hard to explain what i like to have as a healer
I think we should not cast light of dawn in M+. i think you should create two version one for raid with light of dawn. And another one for M+ with WoG.
Made an account here just to tell you thank you for creating and sharing this! This is an insanely fun macro to use. Tried it on a 60 paladin i had not touched in ages and now I am almost 80 after dungeon grinding with your setup!
Soā¦will just say I donāt fully grasp paladin healing(yet to look at the rotation, etc) but atleast in a LFR environment Iām killing the healing charts at a 554 ilvl. Usually above 350k HPS, sometimes sustaining 450k depending on the fight. Have yet to test this in a M+ but assuming as others stated we may want more WoG vs LoD?
Biggest things I see is I think Holy Shock needs to be cast a little more frequently as sometimes Im stuck with multiple charges(This can probably be adjusted with MS as Iām running between 120 and 150)
Second point is I donāt know how the blessing macro works. If I have a macro and name it blessing the gse macro doesnt seem to be firing it off, am I missing something somewhere? the macro is y char specific and is named āblessingā just as it appears in the sequence.
@Papoz12
picked this up today, normally main prot and ret, figured why not give it a shot, and let me tell you, does wonders. Super easy to play, doesnāt feel super stressful, and does good numbers. 609 ilvl and been hitting 418k hps overall in +2 keys without even having half the gear i should for playing holy. Great job with this macro, keep up the great work.
As I have no idea how to edit macros that are made in GSE, did you find a way to swap LoD for WoG? I just ran a dungeon, and while LoD was huge on my list, WoG would have been so much better for dungeon healing
