[11.1.7] 💠 AutoSpec: BALANCE // Maximum DPS Output, Sophisticated GSE Sequences, Single-Target & Multi-Target Detection, Advanced Cooldown & Defensive Usage — Delivered Through a Custom-Built, Precision-Tuned Combat UI

All good @moonglun,

WoW only lets one sequence/action occupy a given keybind (you can’t cast two spells on the same button). Binding ..._NOMOD to “1” then ..._SHIFT to “1” just overwrites the first. AutoSpec needs four separate input channels to function properly:

Fix: Import AutoSpec’s sequences (..._Nomod, ..._Shift, ..._Ctrl, ..._Alt) and bind them like this:

  • ..._Nomod → Activation Button
  • ..._Shift → Activation Button + Shift
  • ..._Ctrl → Activation Button + Ctrl
  • ..._Alt → Activation Button + Alt

Check the “Getting Started” section at the top for detailed steps. :+1:

Already find it .. /facepalm really sorry for the question
my bad
many many thanks!!

Hello,

I recently tested your sequence, as I had always assumed it was quite complex and well-structured. However, I was surprised to find that a critical component appears to be missing—the two casts of Wrath required to enter Lunar Eclipse.

Without triggering Lunar Eclipse, overall damage output is significantly reduced. Could you please confirm whether this behavior is intended or if it might be an issue on my end? The only part I didn’t import was the macros, but I find it unlikely that the absence of those would prevent Wrath from being included in the sequence.

Please take this as constructive feedback—I believe addressing this could greatly improve the sequence’s effectiveness.

Best regards,
Artseeker

Hey @Artseeker, thanks for pointing that out—I’ve now added the missing mechanic and implemented new smart range‐check triggers for Balance.

I know it could benefit from a few spec‐specific inputs from experienced players—Balance has been a first for me, and I’d be happy to hear any feedback you have.

Also I’d love to hear your feedback on the auto Cat Form / Prowl. I know that receives mixed opinions. I could make it so it auto Cat Forms only in solo content (open world / questing / PvP), lmk.

Updated

  • Added the critical Wrath mechanic.
  • Split Starfire and Starsurge into two separate buttons with range‐detection logic.
  • Moonfire now applies and refreshes automatically to reduce player input.
  • Sunfire and Lunar Eclipse are applied/entered via Alt modifier.

EDIT: Nvm Updated GSE :stuck_out_tongue:

EDIT2: So ive tested it out on my lvl 80. It seems the rotation isn’t casting wrath is that right?

Make sure you have the WekaAura—if you don’t already.

Wrath is on the Shift modifier which is prompted to be help when Eclipse (Lunar) is not detected. It shares a modifier with Sunfire so you’ll see that cast once, then it will double cast Wrath, activate Eclipse (Lunar) and remove the prompt.

*Note the double Wrath cast displayed above the Lunar Eclipse prompt as I ran the sequences while holding shift.

Check out the “Getting Started” dropdown at the top of the post.

Otherwise, I’d be happy to help you if you kave more questions!

EDIT: I updated the :memo: Ability Overview description for Wrath use.

@Aerrek this might be a stupid request. But would you be able to make a Youtube video for dummy’s on how to set this up? Im just confused about the specific button binding and whether those binding’s will interfere and the WA i have with all mess my other GSE imports and layouts on my other characters?

I hope that makes sense

I’ve been getting that request a lot and it’s going to happen soon. Just waiting for my mic to arrive any day now.

@drupollo_2540

Nothing should interfere with other characters—GSE bindings are spec specific. WA isn’t bound to anything, it just seems like it is.

I use Num + because it’s a relatively unused key and doesn’t interfere with any Windows functions when combined with the modifiers. Some other buttons like the F keys do. Obviously Alt + F4 as an example

I bind it to my mouse so that may WASD hand isn’t dedicated to holding a specific button throughout the duration of a fight.

Anyone else having issues importing the WA? When i copy the WA string it just stays as a long string of characters and doesn’t give me the option to import.

Hey @Wownerd,

I reuploaded the WA. Not sure what might be happening but it came straight form my screen Wago, lmk if that fixes it :+1:

That worked! Thank you so much

@Wownerd Let me know if anything feels confusing or unclear—Balance, like some of the other caster specs, can be a bit less intuitive than the melee specs.

Forgive me for asking a silly question but

Am I right in saying this will not work while levelling?

I have macros 4 of my mouse buttons to the following

Num +
Num + & LAlt
Num+ & LShift
Num + & LCTRL

It somehow does the MoTW, and puts me in catform BUT
It wont auto select a target and pout me in combat if holding.
While in combat, it is only casting Moonfire when using the nomod macro, and the WA seems to indicate ALT / Shift, but when I then change to the macro’d mouse button that includes that, it will do nothing at all.

Is this due to me just being low level, the way I have macrod it, or is there something else wrong?

The Balance setup defaults to Cat Form out of combat for the speed buff and access to Prowl.; It’s not typical to balance gameplay but, why not? Free Prowl.

On all my setups I have the ..._SHIFT mod to Initiate Combat—like a safety trigger for damage output. For Balance, Initiate Combat is is going to take you out of cat form if your in it and open with Sunfire.

Likely, if you don’t know the abilities in the sequences (like leveing) they won’t cycle function properly. But you should know them all relatively early

Use the Getting Start Guide at the top of the page and this weakaura to ensure that your mouse is bound properly and actually ‘calling upon’ the sequences.

If you have too much trouble binding to a mouse you can use a keyboard key but you still need repeat functionality. I’m not configured to keyboard way and don’t know how to accomplish that, sorry. :eyes:

Hey Aerrek,

I am trying to add your 11.1.7 macro and when I import it it says “WARNING ONLY: Sequence named xxxxxxxxx was not specifically designed for this version of the game. It may need adjustments.”

Is there something on my end i can do to fix this?

Hey @devilwalker,

Short Answer:
That warning isn’t from anything on your end. I’m actually doing big edits to Balance which is going to overwrite the current setup, it’s a complicated spec and I’m testing some new options that will greatly improve DPS.

Long Answer:
I came back to Balance to check it out again, and every time I do, I end up learning something new. It’s hands down one of the hardest specs to streamline into the AutoSpec framework because of how it handles filler spells—Wrath for single-target and Starfire for AoE. What makes it even trickier is that each filler sets you up for the opposite kind of Astral Power spender.

Then you’ve got the Eclipse system on top of that—Solar for ST, Lunar for AoE—which adds a ton of friction. I’ve been experimenting with using the single-button assistant just to handle the filler logic. It’s not something I usually go for, but in this case, it might actually be the right call.

So yeah, this is not final yet—I’m still refining it. Just wanted to let you know its being worked on and to check it out in a few.

I’ll make an updated comment when it’s done

Will do, thank you for the prompt response!

Balance Update

Massive rework — the whole setup’s been rebuilt from the ground up.

Cat Form no longer triggers automatically out of combat. Now you’ll get a prompt via WeakAura if you want to enter Cat Form or Prowl — it’s intentional, controlled, and less disruptive.

The big shift: the damage rotation is now handled by a single-button assistant. Not my long-term plan for AutoSpec+, but Balance was a tangled mess — too many filler/build/spender variations for single- and multi-target, plus the Eclipse mechanic forcing opposite filler casts. It was clunky to automate without butchering performance or logic, so I opted for a streamlined, pragmatic solution.

Some key defensive and utility abilities are now on modifier keys. That’s in line with where AutoSpec+ is headed — context-sensitive utility with minimal bloat — but I’ve implemented it early here to stabilize the spec.

If you’ve got thoughts on how utility is mapped or used, speak up. Despite how polished AutoSpec+ might look, it’s still flexible under the hood — I can swap modifiers, reassign priorities, or add tweaks quickly. Feedback now helps shape what it becomes.

What I have noticed so far with the current version:

  • Cat form is not offered via WA, I ran some dungeons yesterday and wondered a bit where the cat went - at least outside of battles for movement.

  • the single-button assist itself in the _nomod macro performs really well in my observation, but I’m always standing around in the middle of combat without really doing anything, i.e. in the _nomod it still seems to lag somewhere.

Unfortunately, you can also see this in a direct comparison between the pure single-button assist and the -nomod macro, I personally have a difference of about 500k - 700k damage here.

I run the macros with 100ms.

Apart from these two little things, you are doing an absolutely fantastic job!
