7.1.5 Jan 10th

Hey folks
As you know i love this macro tool, especially because i am an alt-a-holic!

Anyway, now that we know 7.1.5 is around the corner, what happens to GSE? Is there a ‘down-time’ period whereby it is not available/compatible like other wow addons?

What about all of your great macro scripts that i am using on my alts? will all of those become invalid due to the class changes in 7.1.5? New scripts will have to be written/modified?

I am just a little worried about when the patch hits, as i only play WoW now because of this site/tool.

Many thanks, wishing you all a fantastic 2017!

I know some classes will need to be reworked completely.
Ele shaman is one of them as that has a lot of talent changes and now includes Elemental Blast and Icefury to be used etc.

Andy, there will be no “downtime” for GS-E (as far as I know). There is nothing about this addon that will be incompatible with new patches unlike every 3rd party program out there.

The only thing will be more optimal macros with whatever changes have come with the new patch. Every single macro posted will still work just fine.

EDIT: I use original GnomeSequencer and it works fine. I’ve never used GSE during a major patch. It will be fixed soon.

Servers are up and it looks like I was wrong. GSE is not currently functional.

Use original GS…works fine.

None of the macros work for me.

Another confirmation. Not working for me either.

Here is the error I get, when logged in on my mage.

I use these macros on 3 accounts now I cant use them after logging in today is there a fix cominmg soon?

Thanks

Just one more adding to the it doesnt work for me slot. Its going to be something easy Im sure just beyond my knowledge.

yea my list is completely blank now after todays update  and it wont load my spec id I’m logged onto with any of my characers

This is exactly why i mainly use the original gs. I never ever run into these problems. I still use GSE, but I keep an updated back up with GS just for occasions like this.

Same here…testing already. I’m glad the transition between the two is seamless.

If any of you are familiar with original GS, it still works just fine. GS-E does not at the moment.

Seriously… get re assured there will be no issue but apparently it wasn’t even tested with the ptr, so everyone is left high and dry.

GSE worked fine on the PTR. They change certain coding when they go live. Happens with every major patch.

nope not working at all.

I might just start using the origin version, it was just the convenience of the in-game addon which why I switch in the first place. no biggie going back to it now

[/quote] Keep us posted on shammy testing btw… Using ur macro on shammy…EU doesnt go live until tomorrow so would be nice having a SPitz rdy by then ;D

Thanks all, for your replies.

I will hold on a few days, as playing wow without this macro tool is not fun for my wrist/fingers.

Please keep me posted with updates.

Happy gaming.

Go to World of Warcraft\Interface\AddOns\GS-Core and open startup.lua

Find the text below:
— Check if the specID provided matches the plauers current class.
function GSisSpecIDForCurrentClass(specID)
local _, specname, specdescription, specicon, _, specrole, specclass = GetSpecializationInfoByID(specID)
local currentclassDisplayName, currentenglishclass, currentclassId = UnitClass(“player”)
if specID > 15 then
GSPrintDebugMessage(L["Checking if specID “] … specID … " " … specclass … L[” equals "] … currentenglishclass)
else
GSPrintDebugMessage(L["Checking if specID “] … specID … L[” equals currentclassid "] … currentclassId)
end
return (specclass==currentenglishclass or specID==currentclassId)
end

The text above Should become (4 line have 2 x “-” in front)

— Check if the specID provided matches the plauers current class.
function GSisSpecIDForCurrentClass(specID)
local _, specname, specdescription, specicon, _, specrole, specclass = GetSpecializationInfoByID(specID)
local currentclassDisplayName, currentenglishclass, currentclassId = UnitClass(“player”)
– if specID > 15 then
– GSPrintDebugMessage(L["Checking if specID “] … specID … " " … specclass … L[” equals "] … currentenglishclass)
– else
– GSPrintDebugMessage(L["Checking if specID “] … specID … L[” equals currentclassid "] … currentclassId)
– end
return (specclass==currentenglishclass or specID==currentclassId)
end

This made my BM hunter lazy macro to work.

Thanks.
