8.2 Macro with Petrified Ebony Scale / Crucible of Flames v1.5

Hello Folks,

so the new raid is out, and i hit level 55 with the neck, so i can give you some hints about the new Raid and the second Trait. Before i explain my experience the most important:

SIM YOURSELF!! All the theory here could be total different for your Char!

How to sim ? Look here:

You need to get familiar with that, so that you can find out what is the best solution for YOUR Hunter.

There are two builds popular at this time:

The Chimera Shot Build, there you want to have a mix of haste, crit and mastery.

Here you want to have as many Primal Instincts as you can get in your Azerit Gear.

For the other traits, you need to sim all other combinations. There are several combinations which are very strong.

For the Crit / One with the Pack / Dance of Death Build

I rerommend a base Crit above 28-30% Crit, two times Dance of Death, and at least one Primal Instincts. If you can,use the Trinket from High Tinker in BOD at least at Ilvl 400+
https://www.wowhead.com/item=165572/variable-intensity-gigavolt-oscillating-reactor&bonus=4798:1507 or higher.

For M+ and High AOE try to get one or two times Rapid ReLoad

and one Primal Instint.

So you see, there is a huge Load of Combinations for your talents, traits and stats.
If you want a deeper knowledge of the traits and what tehy are doing, just read the wowhead or icy-veins guide, or as here for in deep details.

But there are some common errors with simming and guides.

First, variations are for BM not that high than for other classes. that means, if i sim my mainchar, there are often only some dps like 50-300 difference. That means, if you are not comfortable with a combination of talents, traits and so on, feel free to play YOUR style that you are commfortable with.

Second, Traits and Items who are very strong in theory, but not good playable in a raid enviroment. Like this:

In the new Raid are so many situations, where you get constantly damage or heal is blocked, so that you could not get the buff up, specially with the trinket

The same is with Trinkets/Traits where you have to stand in a zone when you use a trinket etc. like

All that Stuff looks very strong in simulations, but are not so strong on the play. But i believe in you, that you find out the best combinations for you…

You can now sim the Heart spells as well, but if you have not have rank 3 of

the is still The Crucible of Flame the bis major Essence, specially when your Heart is above 54 and you can get rank two (the quest for that starts with 54 in the heartchamber).
For minor Esence, you need to sim again to find out what fits best for you.

But lets start with the Macros:

First of all, again a german client, feel free to ask if a spell was not translatet, but perhabs you find the answer in my post before.

As everytime three tabs, one for openwolrd, one for raids, dungeons and m+, and one for pvp,

Pets i used:

Most of all time get a Spirit Beast:
https://www.wow-petopia.com/family.php?id=spiritbeast
With that you got another deff CD with SotF, you can dispell with Spirit Shock (removes enrage in M+ as well!) and a little Heal CD with spirit mend.
If there is a situation that no one could go vor Bloodlust / Heroism or no one has Drums, get ab Bat:
https://www.wow-petopia.com/family.php?id=bat
Primal rage fpr Blood Lust, and Sonic Blast for dispell.
In PVP I used a happy Hippo for Gruesome Bite
https://www.wow-petopia.com/family.php?id=riverbeast

I play without modifier. That has some reasons. First there is a difference between hit often let me say button 1 as often as you can, a autofire where you need to hold down button 1 and then some software do autofire or a funktion that you press button 1 once and than software do autofire as long as you cancel that with another interaction, in my cas pressing again button 1. For some reasons modifier didn´t work, so i played everytime without them. Second Reason is, that there are so many CD´s now with the Essence, taht you would run out of Modifier.
If you find it necessary to have something with modifier, i can try to code them in the next Version if more then 10 People like that…

Pay attention! I used a german client, hope the import works to other languages as well.
If not, at de.wowhead.com you can insert the german spell and search for it.

I enjoy the macro, now off to translate it to an english client.

Explains why it wasn’t working =/

This should be the full english version: Please note I changed nothing from the original poster and they deserve full credit.

He posted 4 diff macros so which one did you translate?

Sorry just the first one.

First is Single Target with Chimera:

Just to let you know Chimaera Shot is spelt slightly differently in game to the one in the macro. Chimera in the macro and Chimaera in game so I just changed mine to work. For EU/UK anyway

I have translated the German skill names to English, first time posting here so hoping this goes well.

This is the single target owtp

Is there such a big issue with he Spellnames? Normaly GSE works with spell ids and translate that in the client version u use, but even NOT if the spellname is unknown for your spec. Example Kochendes Blut, thats Blood Fury, and that should be shown in /cast Bloodfury in blue letters if you can use the spell, and in whit if you can´t use the spell. but the macro should work. i can import english macros as well, and that works for me…

I switch my client now to english and pop up the english ones if possible…

From what I saw on the first one, it was mainly the 1 (1st tab) instance of the macro that was completely different and had to be fully translated, the 2nd (tab) and 3rd (tab) just had the Smack and Blood Fury spells different. I think generally on your macro’s those are the only two spells that was having issues.

Once again thanks for this macro.

Thanks, I changed it on the macro I posted. I thought I’d caught that, but only changed it on 2nd and 3rd tabs.

What MS are you running this at?

Works really good, but was firing off to many cobra shots and not enough kill commands, so I changed the single line cobra shot to kill command and it works much better. So far this has been the best macro for me and I am at iLvl 428

You change which line ? you can sharing

I already said, look at the macro, there is a line of just /cast Cobra Shot change that to /cast Kill command. It’s not perfect, but better than before. If you look at the video to use sims to see how many shots you should fire and then go and try out this on a target dummy you’ll see how many you should be using and how many you actually are using.
