Hey everyone,

Updated for Midnight, my Frost Death Knight running the FrostBane spec. I’ve built out three core combat sequences that handle different situations smoothly:

Each one is designed to keep the rotation fluid while giving me manual control over the key moments that matter. I don’t bother trying to micro manage Piller of Frost OR Empowered Rune Weapon though and they will cast as they come up (except in the NOCD sequence).

:small_blue_diamond: Mythic+ Talent Build

Here’s the talents that I use:

:small_blue_diamond: Modifier Controls

SHIFT – Force Howling Blast (Only cast when you get Rime)

Holding SHIFT across all three sequences will priority-cast Howling Blast use when Rime is up.
This lets me capitalize on Frostbound Will by firing the free Howling Blast reducing my CD for Empowered Rune Weapon

ALT – Frostwyrm’s Fury (or Frostscythe Swap)

Holding ALT normally forces Frostwyrm’s Fury on demand.

However:

  • In the NOCD ST sequence, ALT does NOT fire Frostwyrm’s Fury.
  • Instead, ALT converts the single-target rotation into AoE by swapping Obliterate → Frostscythe.

:small_blue_diamond: Self-Heal Logic (NOCD Sequence Only)

(YOU WILL NEED TO CHANGE THE CHARACTER NAME TO YOUR NAME IN THE SEQUENCE BLOCK 2.1)

On the NOCD ST sequence, if you mouseover yourself, the sequence automatically fires Death Strike.

Great for:

  • Quick self-healing
  • Maintaining uptime while stabilizing

:small_blue_diamond: Battle Rez on Mouseover (All Sequences)

No matter which of the three sequences you’re using, mousing over an ally will instantly activate Raise Ally to battle-rez them.

If something can be improved, feel free to comment and let me know. Maybe its my setup but without the multiple binds my modifier keys wont fire, below is my setup.

what does the no cd one do vs the others?

In the NOCD:

  1. Alt does not fire the big bad dragon, it instead makes it go from Obliterate to Frostscythe
  2. If you mouseover your player frame while using it, it will use Death Strike (if you followed the instructions)
  3. It does NOT use Pillar of Frost OR Empower Rune Weapon

i also found that obliterate isnt in the st or ae version.

so i added /cast Obliterate to 1 of the lines=)

I dont know what you’re talking about.

In both ST and ST NOCD Obliterate is in block 2.2
Its not an AOE move so its not in the AOE macro.

it works when i dl it, but if i switch to UHDK and back, or if i log out as frost it doesnt activate– i ahve to uninstall the macro sequence and reinstall it

It sounds like you have computer issues. These arn’t caused by the macro’s themselves.

my Dk is only 146 ivl atm

I’m getting a prolonged st dps of 19k

and initial burst is 35kish

anyone else have numbers they are gettimg

Hey, I’m item level 161.44. I pulled 65k with a quick 3min target dummy in Dorn.

It’s not as high as my Ret pally (85kish with my talents/sequence) or Fury warrior (105kish with Orbalisks mountain thane) but they are both at 168/169sih item level so its hard to do a direct compare.

Hope the screenshot/video helps you understand the macro better. I reccomend having Rime tracked in cooldown manager and everytime you see it hold shift to get it used ASAP.

Hope you like it, remember to change your name for the DS or it wont work for you.

Also, i’m really curious to see how it fairs after blizzard finishes their tweaking over the next 1-2 months.
