Hello everyone!

Today, I’m sharing the most optimized damage-focused build for tanking as an Aldrachi Demon Hunter during Season 3.

This setup basically condenses your entire DPS rotation into a single button, allowing you to focus on the important stuff interrupts, AOE crowd control, taunting, and positioning without sacrificing performance.

The sequence follows this order:

  • The Hunt
  • Fiery Brand
  • Sigil of Spite
  • Sigil of Flame
  • Fel Devastation
  • Metamorphosis
  • Then cycles through:
    • Throw Glaive → Demon Spikes → Felblade → Immolation Aura → Fracture → Fracture → Soul Cleave → Soul Cleave → Fracture → Soul Cleave → Soul Cleave

…and then the sequence repeats.

This is my personal favorite build you won’t need to use anything else for both Raids and Mythic+, at least until you start pushing really high keys.
At that point, you’ll want to switch to a more defensive version that includes extra crowd control, Darkness, and your cheat death cooldown for added survivability.

Also your best stats for using this build gonna be in that order Crit/haste (~20-24 K) with a bit of Vers (~8-10 K)

How much do you use it yourself?

I don’t really like testing my sequence on dummies outside to show the spell rotation on video. So people can check if it’s does the same for them. I always prefer to test my sequence in real content like heroic / Mythic Raids or Mythic+ to see how it performs in different difficult scenarios. So I can’t tell you exactly how many stacks I can tank on the tank dummy, but I’ve done +14 keys with it and cleared the first four bosses in Mythic Raid at around 704 item level. Did you find any trouble running it ?

Hi mate, I encountered a couple of issues, just with abilities that would need to be cast with a second click (Sigils for example), you’ll need to add an @cursor or @player to it in order for the sequence to fire it off smoothly. Most opt for @player as you spend all of you time in melee, anyway.

[nochanneling] also needs to be added to each line to avoid clipping Fel Devastation.

Of course, if you fire sequences manually, this wont seem to be an issue, but as you will be aware, a lot of the GSE community use AHK and keyboard software to fire these off so these additions will help those greatly.

I’ve edited this in the sequence for myself, but OP will need to be changed to reflect. Cheers!

Hey Dan, thanks for your helpful feedback!

I actually tried a version with Sigil casting at @player first, but overall I found it worked better with the talent that casts Sigil on the focused enemy, especially during pulls. It just feels smoother for positioning and flow in real encounters.

I’ve noticed that the one-button version made by Blizzard actually casts Sigil on the target even without the talent, so there must be a way to work around this and make the sequence do the same but I haven’t found the solution yet outside of picking the talent for it.

You right for the nochanneling its never cause me trouble but i can get why its a thing for people using AHK. I fixed it

Ah , I see! I actually wasn’t aware there was a talent to make Sigils fire at target location. I’ll have a look when I’m home from work!

Besides that though, I was doing some open world content earlier in Legion Remix and it does overall work very well :slight_smile:

Must start to say taht your macro is a blast!!! but i have 1 issue is that after around 1min it just stop and will not start again what can that be?

That’s weird, I don’t have this issue at all on my side. Which one are you using the first or the second sequence ? So i can check whats wrong
