🚀 AutoSpec: Getting Started

Learn how to fully install and configure AutoSpec, including mouse turbo setup, modifier key binding, and GSE/WeakAura imports. This guide ensures everything runs through a single button—properly firing each layer of the system without errors or missed prompts.

:gear: Under the Hood: How AutoSpec Thinks

Go beyond setup and see how AutoSpec actually works. This breakdown covers its layered logic design, real-time action prioritization, and how visual + modifier-based cues turn a one-button system into a fully adaptive combat engine.

💎 AutoSpec+ (In Development)

A modular companion system built to handle everything outside of your damage rotation:

It will add seamless support for:

  • :shield: Defensive cooldowns and survivability
  • :soap: Cleansing, dispels, and utility spells
  • :brain: PvP talents, interrupts, CC, and battleground logic
  • :dart: Target-based logic and cursor animation integration
  • :cyclone: Movement tools and reactive mobility

It iss delivered as a separate WeakAura that integrates cleanly with the existing UI — all supported specs are bundled together for simple, modular deployment.

ℹ️ About the In-Game Macros (GSE Import)

When you import the GSE sequence, it also installs a small set of standalone in-game macros into your /macro panel. These are not sequenced — they’re simple one-off tools that enhance gameplay, improve targeting, or handle utility functions.

Examples include:

  • :compass: Smart targeting macros
  • :speech_balloon: Context-sensitive spell casts
  • :dart: Focus setting or mouseover support
🧬 Talent Builds & Requests

Approved talent builds are available via the ‘Talents’ panel inside the ..._NOMOD GSE sequence. These are pre-validated configurations tuned for compatibility with system logic and modifier behavior.

🔍 Why Approved Builds Matter

Every listed build is adapted from top-tier PvE or PvP guides, then manually aligned with the internal logic of this system. These builds preserve rotation integrity, prevent logic conflicts, and ensure smooth, predictable performance in real-time combat.

With the complexity introduced by Hero Talents, using a supported build helps avoid strange behavior or missed inputs — especially when relying on modifier-based logic.

That said, you’re free to run any build you like. Just keep in mind: performance and stability are only guaranteed with approved loadouts.

 Got a request for Mythic+, PvP, or leveling? Drop a link and I’ll review it — as long as it’s based on a documented public guide and meets the system’s design constraints.

❓ Frequently Asked Questions
🔻 What key should I bind for the macro?

Always use Numpad +.
Then bind a mouse button to it using repeat-click software (Razer Synapse, G Hub, Corsair iCUE).
Avoid binding to keys like 1, Q, or function keys—they don’t loop reliably.

🔻 Where do I find the talent builds?

Talent builds are included in the system directly.
You’ll usually find them inside the imported GSE Nomod sequence, under the Talents panel.
Some spec posts on WoW Lazy Macros may also link recommended builds near the import section.

🔻 Why do I need repeat click?

GSE requires constant input to cycle through your sequences at high speed.
Repeat-clicking Numpad + ensures the macro loops smoothly and consistently.
Without it, nothing fires—even if everything else is set up correctly.

🔻 Why is nothing firing when I hold the activation button?

Make sure:

  1. Your turbo/repeat click is enabled (20+ clicks/sec)
  2. All four GSE sequences are bound to Numpad +
  3. You’re not using a conflicting keybind
  4. You’re holding the mouse button—not tapping it
🔻 What if my modifier prompts aren’t going away?

If the prompts for Shift, Ctrl, or Alt aren’t disappearing, the system isn’t detecting those keys correctly.

Check the following:
5. Make sure your mouse software is sending Numpad + on turbo, not a different key
6. Verify you’re holding the modifier while turbo is active (not tapping it)
7. Ensure the modifier keys aren’t bound to anything in-game
8. Re-import the WeakAura and make sure Lua errors are disabled

🔻 Why don’t I see movement abilities or big cooldowns?

AutoSpec doesn’t automate movement or major cooldowns.
These are left to you—or triggered via prompts when relevant.
If you’re not seeing them, double-check your WeakAura import.

🔻 How do I update a specialization when it changes?

Just re-import the latest strings from the spec’s WLM post.
You don’t need to uninstall anything—new strings overwrite the old ones.
You can also use the Wago Companion app to stay synced.

:point_right: Download Wago App

🔻 Do I still need WeakAuras if I’m using GSE?

Yes.
GSE runs the macros. WeakAura handles the HUD, prompts, timers, and condition detection.
AutoSpec needs both to function properly.

🔻 Can this get me banned?

No.
AutoSpec doesn’t break Blizzard’s Terms of Service.
It uses addons, not bots or third-party software.
No memory editing, no automation outside the UI.

Awesome! Please let me know if you run into any issues like if your character isn’t using a new ability you learned

Hi m8,
really like your macros and WA.
Actually i just made a pala to test this macro.
Keep up the good work m8.

PS: one small question does this run at 200ms or faster?
on my warlock i’m running for macro extremely fast at 50ms , but on pala that migth be a bit to fast no?

Edit1: it doest seen to use Final Verdict and i dint find it in the macro is it supost to?
Edit2: found it on control but its really odd that during the rotation it keeps trying to use Final Reckoning and after you press control just never uses it

Hey @Unamola,

So, as for the speed. I run them very fast. 20c/sec. I’ve found that the more actions you can attempt within a GCD window, the more cool stuff you can implement into a macro.

Yes, Final Verdent = Templar’s Verdict :+1:

Final Reckoning is actually this block and is not on a modifier:
image

I don’t remember why but I had to use the SpellID instead of the spell name.
I’m sure there was a reason when I did it

Just by the way of how I do my conditionals, Final Reckoning won’t cast while you’re holding a modifier. Are you saying that even when you release CTRL that Final Reckoning is not casting?

Lmk :+1:

hi,

so yea did a few more tests and it never fires just i see the green AOE marker but never casts it.
tried lowering the macro speed and still nothing.

Add either @player or @cursor.
i.e.

[@player,combat,nomod,known:343721]

@Unamola

Yes, @yosha, is exactly right. This got past me during the build that this is a targeted ability. I’ve gone ahead and made it an @cursor cast and added a Cursor Countdown Progress Bar with the “Robot Blip” sound help you know when it’s coming.

Thank you both for the critique :+1:

working on trying this out have the macro firing with a keybind, but I can’t seem to get it to fire the modifiers if I manually use SHIFT, CTRL or ALT manually.

do I have to set up 3 extra keybinds for this with those modifiers? I am trying to just use F3 and then manually select shift, ctrl, alt as needed.

thanks.

you add four macro buttons and drop the macro ? from gse into each one then you use main macro along with each modifier simultaniously

so what your saying is I have to create 4 out of GSE macros (wow character macros), one for my keybind and 3 others with keybind and modifiers?

the issue I have doing that is I can’t macro F3 as a keybind in wow game. nor can I add F1 into a macro as a keybind either.

or am I misunderstanding you.

I was hoping I could just manually use the SHIFT, CTRL, or ALT in addition to the macro for the effect. I am also not sure modifiers might not be broken in wow right now. As I am having issues with other modifiers as well.

but another GSE updated macro for ret does support manually using shift and ctrl.

@LONESTAR

With the recent update my current steups are not going to be functioning. I’m working on getting them all up and running as soon as possible :+1:

Hi, First thanks for the time you spend making these sequences for us users.

Edited… Was having an issue but appears it was a bad gse update that has been corrected. and not this macro.

if i want to use your macros i have to use Weakaura? i want to use only GSE

Yes you’ll have to use the WeakAura,

What I do is I take out the spells that can’t be sequenced with 100% efficiency like class resource spenders, DoT, buffs you want to have more control over, etc…

I design WeakAuras to be minimally invasive to your current UI and to have a small ‘footprint’ on screen.
