Now 5.4.1 hit, all my macros are broken! Not only the macros, but they took away my Titan Panel that i have been using for 5+ years… Anyone else getting this issue?
OK, I have been watching forums and I got most of my addons back but the Macro Toolkit is still Fubar…
Anyone have an alternative that they would recommend and trust?
personally i’d wait to see if any updates come out today, the macros themselves seem to still work, just getting the popup blizz fail msg.
ct mods also are not working after this update.
and hi peeps, my first post x
most addons you can still use if you enable “out of date” addons. As for the error messages you can also get I believe called NoTaint (sp?) that supposedly blocks those lua errors that pop up. Another one that might be useful is Bugsack which collects all the bugs and you can either delete or forwarded to someone that can read code and figure out what the issue is. There’s been some rumors circulating that someone has been hacking and messing with their coding systems, but, hasn’t been confirmed nor denied by blizzard yet so we’ll just leave it as is; just rumors lol. Hope this helps
Thank you for the input. I forgot to add last night due to being very ill… however, I logged in for a brief bit and saw that the Macro Toolkit had an update in Curse Client.
I was very upset at first with this new patch Tuesday, everything I had adds for said something about being illegal to use that add since the Blizz interface does it for me…
I was very upset! However the anger has died and the addons have returned! Now if only I could find a flex raid to tank for! LOL!

from what i’ve read when blizzard released the patch on tuesday, it broke the coding for just about every addon there is out there so I guess it wasn’t a hacker attack but rather blizzard breaking wow again lol.
Seems the last update in Macro Toolkit has broken it completely
5.4.0.2 has broken my macro’s as well, and the extend button is not working. Hopefully they fix soon…
load out of date addons or wait until the author updates then, my macro toolkit works.
I just rolled back to his previous version…
Everything was working again, except the macros on the character I had logged in on, his were dead and had to be re-written.
I downloaded the old version and it still does not work. It will take the extended macro’s, keeps using the Blizzard UI. Not sure what to do.
Hello Sue, make a character in a different server and disable all your addons but Macro Toolkit. Then try to put a macro and see if it extends.
If it looks like it works then there might be an addon conflict or something might be corrupted in your saved variables and might want reset them by deleting your WTF folder or specific Account folder. Don’t forget to backup.
Macro Toolkit and SuperDuperMacro usually do not get along when both are enabled, is one or the other.
Thanks that is a good idea I never thought of. I only use Macro toolkit because SuperDuper looks like it does not get updated. I will give it a try!
Thanks Luis!
I did all those things and still not working, I put in the Frost Mage macro from the website, it shows everything ok in Macro toolkit. But when you look at the macro on blizzard UI this is what it says:
#showtooltip Frostfire Bolt
/click [btn:1]MTSB37 LeftButton;[btn:2]MTSB37 RightButton;[btn:3]MTSB37 MiddleButton;[btn:4]MTSB37 Button4;[btn:5]MTSB37 Button5
So it is overriding the long macro and not allowing me to use anything over 255 characters. This is a dilemma, because I really like using the macro’s from this site. Thanks.
Hello again Sue, I suggest you to post the problem on the following post because the author of MacroToolkit keeps an eye on it:
