Can I assign the same mouse button to different GSE macros based on spec in WoW Classic?

Hi all,

I’m using the GSE addon in WoW Classic for my warrior and have two 1-button macros:

One for Fury spec on mouse button 5

One for Protection spec on mouse button 4

I’d like to simplify things and use mouse button 5 for both specs. Ideally, GSE would run the Fury macro when I’m in Fury spec (spec 1) and the Protection macro when I’m in Protection spec (spec 2) — all on mouse button 5.

However, it seems I can’t assign macros to the same mouse button based on spec. Is there a way to do this with GSE like there used to be? Any advice would be much appreciated.

Thanks!

Any feedback guys? I’m still trying to figure it out.

i believe yes you can.. i use " ] " button for my furry warr.. furry prot.. pally holy.. pally prot.. and pally ret..
when you change spec.. just use the same button to bind it.. and it will show different spec in the keybinding section of the gse
cheers mate..

Thanks for the message mate, could you supply a little more detail on that please? I don’t quite understand what you mean.

Thanks

if you just assign all your sequences you want for a particular class to same button, when you switch between the specs, the buttons stays the same and uses what ever sequence you have set.

Unfortunately, that doesn’t seem to work for two reasons:

  1. In the talent loadout section, the only available option is “All talent loadouts”. When I try to add a talent loadout at the bottom of the macro configuration section, I can’t find any guides explaining how they actually work.

  2. When assigning another macro to the same button, even if I click “+ New KeyBind”, it just overwrites the existing macro keybind for that button.
