Hello everyone!

I’ve decided to share my basic Fire Mage macro with you all! After listening to feedback from the community, I think sharing it here will be helpful for everyone using this site.
Macros are also available on CurseForge and Wago. Just search for ‘GSE’ or ‘crogin’.

Fire Mage Spec Info

Tab info:

  • Tab 1: For levels 1-70. (No Living Bomb.)
  • Tab 2: For levels 71-85. (Living Bomb added at 71)

Macro Info:

  • This macro uses no cooldowns.

Modded keys:

  • Alt = Pyroblast. Use this when Improved Hot Streak is active for instant cast.
  • Ctrl = Scorch. Use this for when you are on the move.
  • Shift = Combustion and Flame Orb. Tap shift for Combustion, hold shift for Flame Orb.

(Note: For Combustion - (Unlocked through talent points). You will want to use this if PyroBlast’s debuff and Living Bomb are on your target.)

(Note: For Flame Orb - (Obtained at level 81). You really only want to use Flame Orb after Combustion has been used.)

The following Sequences are included:

  • There is also an optional sequence called Refreshment if you want to bind it to a spammable key.
  • crogin FireMage v0.1

I run this with 150ms, but feel free to adjust the MS to your preference between 100-250ms.
I wouldn’t recommend going below 100ms, though.

Hi i have set this up but it looks like it is just repeating fire ball over and over what have i done wrong?

Hi @MAXX

As you progress through the levels, the modded keys will improve your ability to execute the sequence, particularly when combined with Living Bomb. I’ve included levels 1-85, as Fireball becomes available at level 1. As you level up, the sequence will become more powerful and refined. If you’re level 71 or higher, be sure to switch the default tab to 2 for optimal performance.

Hello i have Fire Mage V0.1 set up in GSE 3.2.18-g dont no what i am doing wrong the key is bound but when i hit it all i get is Fire ball over and over every time i spam the key ? i am currently level 44 and leveling have talents set up and glyphs on ? can you help ? surly it should be using other spells as well ? at level 44.
Also when i look in the macro it has:

From level 39 to 46, continue with Firestarter Icon Firestarter. This talent allows you to cast Scorch Icon Scorch while moving and for free (Improved Scorch Icon Improved Scorch), which is amazing! Combustion Icon Combustion is your big DPS cooldown if you need to nuke a target, based on all your damage over time effects on the target. Continue with Improved Hot Streak Icon Improved Hot Streak. Please note that at this level your crit rate will be quite low, making the Combustion and Improved Hot Streak talents weaker at this stage. However, you need them later anyways and there are no significantly better filler talents at this stage.

From my macro information:

  • Alt = Pyroblast. Use this when Improved Hot Streak is active for instant cast.
  • Ctrl = Scorch. Use this for when you are on the move.
  • Shift = Combustion and Flame Orb. Tap shift for Combustion, hold shift for Flame Orb.

When Hot Streak procs, hold down ALT to cast Pyroblast. Since you’re level 44, be sure to use Combustion if your target has any of your debuffs active

Note from my macro information also, explains a good way to use Combustion:

Combustion, your big hitter with the debuffs on your target, also has a cooldown.

Once you reach level 70/71, depending on how you allocate your talent points, switch to Tab 2. It will cast Living Bomb and enough Fireballs to ensure Living Bomb has time to explode on your target, then the macro will cast it again, repeating the cycle.

  • The basic rotation for a fire mage is this:
  • Cast Pyroblast! Icon Pyroblast! whenever Hot Streak Icon Hot Streak is up.
  • Cast Flame Orb Icon Flame Orb whenever it is off cooldown.
  • Apply/refresh Living Bomb Icon Living Bomb. Always let it explode before refreshing.
  • Apply/refresh Critical Mass Icon Critical Mass with Scorch Icon Scorch.
  • Cast Fireball Icon Fireball. If you have to move, cast Scorch Icon Scorch.

This macro primarily focuses on the base single-target rotation, while all other spells, abilities, and cooldowns are used in specific situations. I hope this explanation is helpful! My goal is just to provide some clarity on how the macro works with Fire Mage

Thats really helpful thanks i understand it a lot better now i also just watched a you tube vid by Oak which helped as well thanks for making this macro for leveling as well as leveled up.

You have done a great job keep em coming i would love to try leveling 1 to 80 on other classes as well once understand GSE a bit more i may have ago myself at making one.
