Cym's New Fire Macro w/ Cinderstorm (Added YT Clip)

I’ll try that AHK script when I get home and having it work when Num lock is on its pretty handy, too bad I am not left handed lol, also sean Thompson, the first two macros are pretty good Dps, I don’t often use the Scorch macro as I prefer not to waste the rune of power and I use Shimmer to keep casting while I move, I often replace rune with Incanters flow for 20% more damage on pyro and ring of frost with icy ward for better and instant aoe cc I keep Scorch on a separate button and frost nova close to it

[quote quote=32845]Hi Cymiryc
Do you have a macro that you would consider High performance DPS? for use in raids and dungeons?
Im using your macro for levelling but thinking about end game
many thanks
[/quote]

Not sure yet, not hit 110 due to work.

At the moment i am using 2133222 while using the Burneverything macro for levelling purposes. When i go into Dungeons then i will switch to 2133221 as Cinderstorm causes everyone’s butts to close up real quick :frowning:

I’ll probably not change much but will work on something closer to:
2122?11/2

Yeah cinderstorm has caused many ninja pulls big ones

Yes I had scrolllock on. All it did was use combustion or ice barrier havent spot off 1 fireball

How to enable autohotkey to just hold the button and do the right rotation? Sorry for silly question :confused:

I downloaded the GS enhance addon an tried to copy and paste the fire one but it doesn’t work when i copy and paste it in /gs specific macro. I am new what am i doing wrong thanks

ok I might be dumb on this new add-on the enhance version, but how to I add your macro into the game now. I am not seeing a file in the core to edit. how to I add your macros in now?

Sorry for the late responses…

@Okazaki - If you are using the AHK i posted earlier in here, you turn on Scroll Lock to enable the AHK and then just hold the key down and it will do the rotation for you.

@Yockster - There should be Draiks Macro folder you can add it into the Mage.lua file or look up on making your own yourMacros folder where you can add in the Mage.lua file and add the macro there.
myMacros link This should help

@Tybray7 - Could you post the file name you’re adding this to and the full contents of the file?

Any updates ?? I really love you macros Cymiryc but at this point I feel that some how they could be improved…
I have no clue how to do it…

Im 110 now and doing heroics but noticing cinderstorm is causing some nasty pulls
Im looking for a macro that works with a 1222121 config
There are some DS macros that come with GS enhanced but they dont include Pheonix flame
Was going to see if i could cut the cinderstorm out of yours to make it work but im quite new to all this
If you could give me a rough guide on how to chop yours up that would be great thanks

I am not 110 it’s my own fault…

Getting there, just slower than i want.

You can keep Cinderstorm in the macro but just change to Kindling and it won’t have any impact to the macro nor will it halt/pause/break.

Due to Kindling working off crits it would be better with Flame On.

Gimme a few days and i will work on it

Hey Cymiryc,

 I made some twerking to your macro and let me know if it works for you, and for some reason it making me the author from GS-E. here it is.

Sequences[‘Cinderflame’] = {
author=“Nevinn@Cenarius”,
specID=63,
version=4,
source = “Local”,
helpTxt = “Talents: 1132211”,
StepFunction = GSStaticPriority,

PreMacro=[[
/targetenemy [noexists][noharm][dead]
]],
“/castsequence [nochanneling] reset=target Fireball”,
“/castsequence [nochanneling,@target] reset=combat/target/12 Living Bomb”,
“/cast [combat] Phoenix’s Flames”,
“/castsequence [nochanneling] reset=combat/target/46 Flame On”,
“/cast Combustion”,
“/castsequence [nochanneling] reset=combat/target/12 Fire Blast”,
PostMacro=[[
/cast Ice Barrier
]],
}

This is the new one i have put out shortly before i finally hit 110!

The hardest part of trying to do these is making sure spells don’t fire off too quick leaving you with nothing left (right ladies?)
Ahem, anyway…

I have tinkered a lot and i don’t think this is perfect but it’s possibly a step in the right direction.
What i am trying to achieve is better control of Fire Blast, Flame On and Phoenix’s Flames so they are more spaced out with better timing and you have a little more control than BOOM BOOM BOOM then nothing.

This is using 1-1-2-2-2-1-1
I have removed Cinderstorm (R.I.P) but as noted before and by others, it’s just a PITA and no one really wanted it used in Dungeons, not even after a Saturday night drunken party.
Living Bomb has come back as has Flame On.
Flame On should now only really cast when you’re out of Fire Blasts. Previous attempts caused it ti fire off while you still had charges and it became a waste, this should control it more. May need more tweaking later and everyones stats and gear will be different so i will add the caveat of YMMV as i can’t account for everything!

Let me know how this one is, if you like it i will either put it up on the front page and/or remove the previous macros to not confuse anyone, OR i can just make a new thread for 110.

Sequences['ImprovedFlames'] = {
author= "Cymiryc",
specID= 63,
helpTxt= 'Talents - 1122211',
StepFunction = GSStaticPriority,
PreMacro = [[
/targetenemy [noexists][noharm][dead]
]],
[[/castsequence reset=combat/target/15 Rune of Power]],
[[/castsequence reset=target/4 Fireball]],
[[/castsequence reset=11 Fire Blast, Living Bomb]],
[[/castsequence [nochanneling,@target] reset=combat/target/12 Living Bomb]],
[[/castsequence reset=target/4 Fireball]],
[[/cast Combustion]],
[[/cast [combat] Phoenix's Flames]],
[[/castsequence reset=target/4 Fireball, Fire Blast]],
[[/castsequence reset=combat/target/46 Fireball, Flame On, Fire Blast]],
PostMacro = [[
/cast Ice Barrier
]],
}

With this i can hit 150k but when i do it manually i can hit 200k. Still good for a 1 button macro.

Flame On doesnt trigger

Hey James, I modified the macro he made, and put it in the post macro in GSSE, now it cast all the time, and better too, it seems to like it after the macro.

It should be casting Flame On in the macro, it just shouldnt be casting it right away as it should try spread out the Fire Blasts in a more controlled mannner after the initial 2 before triggering Flame On so its not completely wasted.

I’ll have a look at it again and with Yocksters change and see whats what.

Ive been using the ImprovedFlames macro in dungeons and its worked well
Do you have one for fights with lots of moving?

I went and re-tested this and i am finding that in all cases Flame On would cast, maybe a little later but that’s because there is no priority on it. BUT no saying that, there was an instance i was able to replicate on it not firing in any sequence or keypress and that was if i set my keypresses to be longer than 160 to 180+ ms.

I am finding that if the key presses are too slow then the step function doesn’t appear to be strictly adhered to.

As to having a macro for movement, i tend to use the same one replacing Fireball with Scorch.
You should be ok to use it for most movement instances and then stop and change to the static one again. Reason i keep Rune of Power in it is to give you time to stop moving and swap your key press back and forth… i just don’t like Ice Floes and prefer the CC option. Personal flavour i guess

If you don’t like standing still, Change Fireball to Scorch as Cym said, then remove Rune of Power and spec Ice Floes and Incanters Flow, Remove Rune from the macro so you don’t have the holy fizzle sound constantly going
