your gonna get alot of responses. i’m gonna give you the one from the creator of GSE and most of the top sequence creators.
The best class/spec sequence(s) you can use, is for the class/spec you know how to play the best.
also, you will probably be testing out alot of them, because if someone says they get high dps when they use a certain creators sequence, that doesnt mean you will get the same results.
now on to ones that work best for me, i main Hunter and DH for DPS. so they are the best dps for me.
When it comes to tier lists, everything is subjective. You do not need to be aware of that straight away, because there will always be things I say that someone else will disagree with. When it comes to sequences for DPS classes, it really comes down to how much time and effort a person puts into creating the sequence, the modifiers, and any other macros that connect with it.
The easiest sequences to create at the moment are definitely for Demon Hunter and Hunter. With that said, here is what I think is working very well right now.
What is working well right now
DPS Warrior
Fury and Arms both have sequences created by Orbalisk, and they work very well.
Unholy Death Knight
There is an Unholy DK sequence made by Mob. I have tried both his AoE and single-target versions, and they work really well. This one definitely benefits from modifiers.
Demon Hunter
There are quite a few Devourer Demon Hunter sequences. In my opinion, they are all pretty similar, so you can pick whichever you prefer.
Monk (Windwalker)
Orbalisk has a Windwalker Monk sequence that I have tried, and it works quite well.
Shaman
Celbone has created an Enhancement Shaman sequence that works well. I believe there is also an Elemental version, although I have not yet tried it.
Hunter
I make a Hunter sequence, and if you try it out, you will know what I am talking about wink, wink
Definitely look around and see what is available, but keep in mind that not every DPS class will work well with a sequence because of proc management and similar mechanics. For example, you will not come across a proper Mage sequence because so many procs are involved in making the spec function correctly. Many Warlock sequences have the same issue.
However, Mage and Warlock are actually quite simple to play manually these days because their rotations are straightforward, in my opinion.
Oh I almost forgot as well, there are some good Ret Paladin sequences out there as well to try
When it comes to Unholy DK, I recommend trying out Mob’s sequence. I have used it, and I was doing mythic+ without any issues, and I was doing heroic raids without any issues while staying near the top of the damage meters. It really comes down to the sequence you use. Some sequences are not very good because people do not test them properly. They create them, leave them, and never come back to refine anything. Out of the ones I have tried, Mob’s is definitely top tier.
