Hi, paladins of damage! (LAST UPDATE 11-Apr-26)

After much testing, the simplest and easiest rotation has proven to be the most effective. It offers no blocks, smooth rotation in long dungeons, and maximum damage. I hope it helps you in Mythic+ and raids. I will update here it with the future paladin changes.

I’ll be updating this post with rotation for Mythic+ and Raids. The macros were created using spell code, so they should work in all languages without errors or rotation locks.
Including defensive abilities, potions and a trinket in this rotation isn’t optimal because you lose damage and rotation can block. Use these abilities separately at the right time.
Alternate the AOE / ST macros with the NOCD macro to always launch your CDs at once.
In the GSE settings, I recommend enabling automatic macro reset with each battle.

I bind a CD-less rotation to a separate key and use it whenever I need to save all cooldowns for the next big pull. For example, at the end of a pack when CDs are about to come back and a longer pull is coming up. Switch between AoE/ST with Ctrl.

COMMON ERRORS

Problems you might encounter with the GSE addon and how to fix them:

Macros not working: Check that skill names in macros match your game’s language (only skills; the rest stays in English). This is the main cause of failures in GSE.
- Verify that the ability Hammer of Light is written in the same language of your game.
Divine Storm (or other skill) not working: Uninstall GSE and delete its folders in AddOns and WTF > SavedVariables. Then reinstall GSE and reload your addons.
Install a new version of the macro: first remove previous versions of GSE and /reload game. Then rebind your macros.
Keybind issues: Do not use key combinations (e.g., Alt+2, Ctrl+F5), as GSE may not work correctly. Always use basic keys to ensure proper macro functionality.

Just FYI - GSE Strings below.

AOE GSE - Imports Druss_AOE_V1
ST_V1 GSE - Imports both AOE/ST - Causing GSE to ask if we want to merge/update/replace AOE import.

Also, some of it was in Spanish (I think) - When I tried it out, I found that Execution Sentence wasn’t firing. I chatgpt to translate the ones below for Templar M+

I know you put in the the script notes - “Check that the macro language matches the language of your game”

Might want to put English Version?

I haven’t done any in-game testing or dummy testing but so far this is what I am seeing when trying it out.

Are these talents for Raid and M+ or for this GSE Sequence / Talent you built? I am curious because seems different from wowhead/icyveins suggestions.

Hi!

You were right, I made the macros in Spanish, not with the spells codes. Now they’re made with the spell codes, so they work in all languages automatically. That should fix it.

This also prevents it from getting stuck on long rotations

The only way is to remove it from the rotation and assign it to a key. Manually remove the ability from the macro and save.

We could put it on Alt, but most people on this forum probably want to cast the ability automatically without Alt.

Additionally, I’ve tried macros with many variables (ALT, Ctrl, Shift…) or very long ones; with long Stances, they sometimes freeze. The best approach is a simple, clean rotation, customized with abilities outside the macro.

The simplest solution is to remove the ability from the macro and cast it directly manually, like a trinket.

Keep in mind that many abilities are still to come in the expansion; the macro will evolve

Yes I agree, I’m not a fan of the alt/shift modifiers and a lot of them do freeze, I’m so happy you’re aware of this and its very noticeable on how well this macro works, nothing worse than being mid battle and standing there looking confused lol Thank you for the advice, looking forward to seeing this evolve. I’ve updated (02-11-26) in the first post the talents and macros. For now, I’m sticking with Templar, although I’m already testing the Herald version. When I have a version that works better than Templar, I’ll post it.

I removed the Ctrl option in the macro because there isn’t as much Holy Power, and I added another option to automatically increase the effectiveness of Wake of Ashes.

I agree with having no mods for dmg output, but if you could instruct me on how to add in a shift mod to fire off a quick interrupt like Rebuke, that would be a great utility to have.

This macro includes the main skills. The rest of important spells such as defensive, stunt, etc. use the keys close to the WASD of your movement. It is the most optimal. With ChatGPT you can create simple macros to put two spells on one key (press Cntrl) using the macros option that WoW has implemented.

In my case, I use the defenses with a macro on a single key by pressing CNTRL / ALT and I can have 3 spells on a single key. With my rotation and two macros that you do with Chatgpt you have almost 100% of the skills near the fingers

Something like this:
