Hello everyone, I’m finally here to share and introduce the new macros for Elemental Shamans in M+ ranked mode. They’re basically divided into two types: single-target and AoE macros. There are also macros for cooldowns.
Important notes: these macros are the result of a massive amount of next-generation work; that is, they’ve been created specifically to climb the ranks in M+ and are managed both manually in-game and via artificial intelligence. In practice, this involves test after test, both on dummies and in the field, and they’ve been tested on +17 keys with my Elemental Shaman, who currently has a score of 3,500. By programming the macros with AI, I’ve been able to realise enormous potential for ensuring the macros run perfectly at specific points.
Procs, priorities and precise sequences to avoid losing DPS. They’re programmed to deliver the highest possible current DPS. To achieve this ‘perfect’ synchronisation, there are a few things to explain.
The macros are single-target and AoE, but some require the use of separate spells for obvious reasons; if you want to reach the top, it’s not possible to include certain spells (interrupts, defensive spells, etc.) within them.
Firstly, it depends a lot on your playstyle; I press keys manually at 50ms intervals – I don’t use a mouse with a programme or AHK. Secondly, set your game server’s latency to optimal values to prevent macro blocks from skipping.
A practical example: try setting /console SpellQueueWindow to 150 or see how it goes.
I press the macros manually because I feel more in control when I need to move, interrupt or use defensive cooldowns, etc.
At the moment, my numbers are extremely high: 1 million DPS for AoE pulls, and an average of around 200k for single bosses.
Of course, this also depends on the item level of the gear you’re wearing; as a reference, I’m currently at 319 with a full tier set.
Note 1: Before pulling specific targets, manually precast Stormkeeper’s cooldown (Ascension + trinket + Ancestral Swiftness) and spam macro 1. Whenever the cooldowns reset on a boss, use it again. The same applies to AoE fights: keep an eye on the situation and see where best to use cooldowns + Stormkeeper to maximise damage.
Thanks for the macros and I will test this out and report back results. Surprised about your recommended 50ms interval though - this is 20 clicks a second, which is quite fast for human !
Right, let me explain: I use 50 ms, but I don’t let the mouse software (I use a Corsair with iCUE) optimise the button settings because I like to keep everything under my own control. Logically, 50 ms is never humanly possible to press, but it’s simply to achieve faster execution; as when I press it manually, 50 ms isn’t a real value, and in fact you have to play around with a priority list like 12-123-1234 etc., because otherwise GSE wouldn’t execute at that speed. However, if you want, you can certainly set up button automation, and then you’ll get actual 50 ms values. When I configured the macros with AI, it specifically told me to set it up this way if I want to press the button myself.
I’m having an issue importing these sequences into GSE. It says the import is successful, but the sequence never appears in my list and isn’t available for me to keybind.
Has anyone else run into this issue or know how to fix it?
That’s odd – have a go at checking if there are any add-on updates. Bear in mind that my native language is Italian, so you might need to translate the spells into your own language.
