Enmity's Macros

Yes… I try to check my account once a day or so… but yes… I can PM you the current one I am working on/using…

Edit Later today… right now I am working on some things outside… garden…feeding the animals…

Thank you Enmity, I really would appreciate it - I miss it so much  I miss the farm life. When I became disabled we had to sell it and move to the city - miss all my animals :frowning:

My apologies for the delay… I was a bit busy yesterday… below is the current macro I am using on multiple dks…

note I personally do not like Alt/Cntrl Buttons… so you will rarely find them…
Put the main rotation on one key… put the breath rotation on a second key… set your keypress to 75-95 MS depending on your internet speed… FPS…Movement…Mechanics. etc… as with this expansion DpS will vary depending on Gear…Artifact… but for best damage from your weapon… I suggest using Blast Radius in all three Artifacts…Legendaries I use the Ring/Belt… But some say Ring/wrist…
Definitely Convergence of Fates trinket is a good start item level doesn’t matter… you want the effect… the ring jeweled signet of Malandrus 10% on autoattacks is a good choice as well item level doesn’t matter Effect

Depending on the fight I use three different trinkets aside from the BIS Convergence of Fates… I find my Chaos Talisman 880 with the str buff I use a lot… I do use Eye of Command… and a Angerboda 880 … the problem with the angerboda is it seems hinky when it procs… Eye of command loses stacks when you change targets… so my favored is the Chaos Talisman…

This is pretty much it… if you have any questions… I will try to answer them if possible

Ok… Semi Back… Nothing major has changed as far as macros…Just Note This is not a simple one button macro… But requires Two…I do NOT use Alt or Cntrl Commands…<DO NOT PM ME HATE MESSAGES!!!> I am old… Fat… and Grumpy… Constructive Criticism is always welcome… I will as always help if possible… I respond to most messages…
Leggos I like to use… Ring Seal of Necrofantasia pretty much BIS for a good breath build… Lately even after the nerf I still like the Helm Perseverance of the Ebon Martyr though the Wrist is works as well…

Biggest thing to keep in mind… Mechanics of the fight…switching targets…Gear…will make your DpS

I haven’t played BoS before so whens the optimal time to start hitting the second macro?

@Enmity

I for 1 love your work. Thanks for not giving up on us  we need you!..
<p abp=“1867”>I haven’t played BoS before so whens the optimal time to start hitting the second macro?
The rotation macro would be your standard rotation… in most cases for optimal dps… you would use the bos macro on bosses… or where you want to pump out some dps in case of a bad pull… there is not set time to really use the bos one… certain boss fights… using bos depends on the phase…

Pause Thinks Lightbulb

Trinkets in priority of importance In My Opinion are:
Slot 1 CoF Covergance of Fates <BIS> a MUST have… the item level doesn’t matter… you want the effect…

Slot 2
Chaos Talisman My Favorite or a horn of valor
Memento or a eye of command the problem with the eye… when you switch targets you lose your stacks
Stat stick
foci A nice trinket… but the proc is kind of hinky

Ok… Here we go… examples of when it is a good idea to use BoS…

<Below a very good guide by Quillolen

Like many things related to gear choices, It depends on the content you are doing.
In raid content:
Short answer: Depends on specific encounter.
CoF + Eye for long fights (6+ mins) or very short fights. Horn of valor, eye of command, decent choas talisman or decent helya stat-stick for shorter ones (<4 mins). The power of CoF is its ability to front load more damage on each breath with HRW, but if you’re only going to get 2 breaths due to fight length anyways, better to improve the quality of both breaths, and delay the second one by the minute.
in M+:
Short answer: Depends your what your group is doing. Generally I prefer Horn of valor + CoF for maw 7-12 carrying, but this is because I have a steady group i run with and we rotate cooldowns on trash. For random M+ groups, I would postulate that Horn + Eye would yield the best overall dps, just remember it is often more important to burn trash than to burn bosses.

Long answer:
Normal/Heroic NH:
Skopyron - If your raid team is stacking boss on the add spawn point, you are honestly better off rolling a Frost Scythe build for the sustained AoE win. Else, depends on your raids dps, but more than likely you will only get 2 breathes anyways, So Eye/horn + claw is probably the way to go.

Chronoguy - Most raids will just stack up and burn through the Power Overwhelming phase. This shortens the fight to the point when you should only get 2 breaths off. However, I would still recommend CoF + Eye for this guy as most group will Lust either at the start or just after Power overwhelming starts, Either way, you want to get the most of both breaths and CoF will help ensure you have a HWR for both.

RoboMaid - This is a pure single target fight, CoF + Eye or Horn should be your default. As a point of good raidsmanship, if you are assigned to eat cake, you may want to wait until after you get your slice to breathe, which should last through the spinny laser of death phase. If you have difficulty moving and breathing, returning to the standard OB/GA build might improve your dps.

Spell Lady - Again a primarily single target fight, but trinket selection for this one can be a bit difficult, I personally use CoF + Eye and Breathe on CD, but if your team struggles with adds, It maybe a wise idea to go Eye + Claw and save your breath for priority targets. BTW, you can use AMS to remove your mark of frost, but be sure you don’t kill your partner DPS doing so.

Bridgeboy - A short single target, basically patchwork fight, Go spend some time with the target dummy and figure out which combination of trinket nets you the greatest damage over 5 mins, and use those 2.

Tich the ichy tick - This fight’s mechanics work very well to the favor of breathing every 3rd minute, so while you may get 3 breathes, it is probably wiser to not use CoF as you will gain very little benefit from it. Though if you are like me and want to ensure HRW is up for the 30 burst window, CoF can further ensure that.

Plantman - Eye + CoF works very well in this encounter, Most pulls I’ve done this encounter, your first breath will probably be on pull, delay your second until 50% which should happen around the 2-3 minute mark, and if your raid’s dps is subpar you will get a 3rd breathe in P3, with predictably awesome results.

StarBoy - A long fight, Eye + CoF should be your default, Breathe at start and through Ice (you can use AMS to instantly remove Icy Ejection, just don’t kill people), You should get a breath off during fel, just make sure and save breath for the first void add.

The Girl who leap through time - If you lust at the start of this fight to prevent the 3rd set of rings, Eye + CoF will serve your well as each phase will last less than 2mins 30 seconds and being able to breathe on the start of each phase agianst the 3 targets is all kinds of awesome dps.

Generic Arch Villain #1345 - This guy has a very VERY long encounter, Eye + CoF will be your best bet, Remember to use your time dilation button to great effect, it can add the equivalent of about 20se of breath to each cooldown if used properly.

Glad to see you back on the horse buddy

Enmity you are my hero, glad to see you back. I would have never started writing my own stuff if not for your help, and Template for a successful macro.

So… I managed to get a couple of hours into raiding ToS last night… We easily cleared the first 4 bosses… Breath DpS was pretty good… But very unforgiving when you make a mistake… Your DpS Tanks Quick…There is a lot of movement… So Learning the fights and learning when the ideal time to use BoS will be the key… I did real well using the Leggo Helm/Ring combo… always started out strong well over 1.3 Million… but as stated one mistake and all the Deeps Lost…

…Moral of this story?..The Macros Posted by the Authors here are doing well…

Thank you for the updates.

Ok…I have been getting PM’s to re-make a OBLIT/FrostScythe Macro…Though Breath Build Seems to be better…Maybe with Patch 7.3 Supposedly A Oblit or a FrostScythe Build will be somewhat viable… Testing on PTR…(I Don’t See It) But as requested here is my combo macro…This means you can select the Frostscythe talent and or Obliteration, whatever bakes your Honeybuns I also have my PvP talents that I use in game as well… Testing this macro on my Tanaris DK Item Level 895…I was holding a steady 600k DpS…Without using my Coldheart Lego…But…I did wear my Lego Bracer…as always Item Levels…Legos…Teir Pieces…WILL…Affect your DpS…

Honestly Though I have been using the Breath Build for months and see the results… I Hate It…I would love to go back to the Howling Blast/Oblit Build…

This Macro WILL NOT beat a Unholy Build…Which at this time is the Flavor of the Expansion…And may or may not change with 7.3 Patch Drop…

If this works for you let me know…Constructive Criticism is always welcome…

Here ya go…

I have it on a secondary key as well… and I use it when I get a proc… but for the test of the macro…I ran it as most who use lazy macros do…not paying attention to procs and just letting it run…obviously if you micro manage a macro you can eek out more dps… but just leaving it on auto on the target dummy a steady 600k dps for well over 5 min… Honestly in raids…im still using a breath build…this is NO WAY at this time is a viable raiding macro…its just in answer to several request for a frostscythe/oblit macro…once in a while I see someone using glacial advance… though cool looking using that talent is a total waste…but with the new patch coming…this could be a new option to be at least comparable frostscythe/oblit build…I play several dk’s on different servers…the tested dk was my lowest dk with just a couple of leggo’s I personally do not like using ALt/Cntrl keys…in my opinion it defeats the purpose and Idea of a Lazy Macro…the more micro management you use in a macro no longer makes it a lazy macro…and micro management takes skills and observation as well as knowing something of the class you are playing… most people come here to find a macro so they can test out a new class and get familiar eventually if they like the class they will research and learn what works and doesn’t work… and will eventually graduate to a alt/cntrl macro or a two button macro or even three buttons …the idea behind my macros is as KISS as possible

It looks like with 7.3 coming out this week our talents will be 3213331 for the Obliteration build.

I have to differ with you on this. Your macro is ok. It should be using pre and post ( for the last 3 lines ) for raids and running the core somewhere around 8-15 times depending on your latency and mouse speed.

I am using a similar string with pre and post and am getting 800k single target with bursts into the 1.2m range at Ilvl 925

I didnt do so well until I ignored all the BS about legos from various places and used whatever gave me the most strength. I am looking forward to the frost boost.

Heheh Agree brother Item Level makes a world of difference… My goal was to test it on a low item leveled toon… which my tanaris toon is around 895…which at that item level a steady 600k DpS aint just plain peanut butter…

The Talent Tree Roulette Wheel Kind of messed up the synergy for BoS…as for Coldheart fortunately I have this Lego on my tanaris DK along with the bracers…its a bit early to be whining about which build…give the developers a few days to tweak our PTR macros and further test what works and doesn’t work…Good Information on how to play your DK at this time would be Discord DK Channel…Have patience people…Its only been a few hours since the new patch release and some things differ once patch goes live…

Original Post Updated 08/31/2017

…Kind of a long post with Explanations…

Ok… First off… Many Thanks To John Mets…for the Chains of Ice with the loop idea…I am still a bit hinky on this portion…but it seems to work…

So after 7.3 Patch Drop…We basically lost the BoS = Breath of Sindragosa Build until further testing…

On one hand I am glad to be back to a relativity easier build…
The funny thing is… basically we are back to the OBRA/Machine Gun build that we came up with pretty much at the beginning of the expansion… Fortunately I ACTUALLY had my original macros on the wife’s computer…I ended up PM sending them to me from her account so it dint take much to adjust them and update the sequences with the builds…

Ideally the Lego’s one would want would be the wrist/chest which I have on my Tanaris DK… possibly the Belt/wrist is a good combo…Relics in my opinion with this build 3 = Ambidexterity…or 3 = All Frost Damage Increased…Maybe 3 = Blast Radius

Use either John Mets or My Macro they are both basically the same with the exception of me using a combination macro allowing you to change up talents and not have to worry about switching macros and also I don’t use Alt/CNTRL Keys…

Note The Death Knight Discord Channel is a Awesome source of Information…Its where all the Pro’s Hang Out…And the Novices…ListenLearnAnd Ask Questions

As Always your DPS WILL be based on …Item Level…Lego’s…Tier Pieces…Relics…last but not least Micro Management
***Super Important***Also with this Macro you will need to watch your Runic Power… and pop your Empower Rune Weapon as needed otherwise your DpS will decline

The Macro…is below…
