Following a suggestion from Celbone, I’m sharing a slightly modified version of a macro that I successfully use in dungeons, delves, and open world content. It is not fully automatic, but I’m not a fan of fully automatic macros.

What I use manually:
I use Doom Winds + Surging Totem manually as a separate combined macro:

/cast [@player] Surging Totem
/cast Doom Winds
/use 13

Modifiers in the sequence:

  • SHIFT: Lightning Bolt (use on single target when you have 10 Maelstrom Weapon stacks)

  • ALT: Chain Lightning (use on AoE when you have 10 Maelstrom Weapon stacks)

  • CTRL: Sundering — for the second use (Primordial Storm), I recommend pressing the modifier when the spell lights up (at 10 Maelstrom Weapon stacks)

Other cooldowns like interrupts, self-heal, defensives, etc. are used manually. The macro only handles the “main” rotation.

The sequence import say this can’t be imported due to error on reading the sequence mate.

keep giving me the import error, the macro is ok tho, was imported no issues. I did a quick try to open using the GSE builder, but not even there I was able to import

Hey Eofen, thanks for sharing your sequence. I like the idea of having a little more control when some spells are used but i’m not able to get it to perform better than the auto version of Celbone’s (which i’ve used for some time and think is great). Any tips as to when i should do what to increase dps?

In the case of a target dummy, you probably won’t be able to achieve higher DPS with my version. My version is mainly about an approach for M+, where it’s often better to save cooldowns for the next pack of mobs or a boss intermission instead of using them on cooldown. If you use them every time they’re available, it may happen that your cooldowns get used in the last second of a trash fight, and then you won’t have them ready for the next pull where they would actually be useful.
