Unholy Death Knight

Archived 12.0.7 package · ST V3 + AoE V4 · Historical GSE baseline: 3.3.25

Not a validated 12.1 release. These unchanged imports are retained for reference. The separate 12.1 San’layn revision has reached runtime trials, but disease recovery and matched SBA comparisons still need work. It is not a released replacement.

Page refreshed: 5 September 2026. Imports and archived talents unchanged.

Controls for this archived package

AoE V4

  • Normal sequence input places Death and Decay at the cursor.
  • Hold Alt during the Death and Decay step to place it at your feet.
  • Hold Shift to force an Outbreak refresh when needed.
  • Epidemic is the Runic Power spender in the AoE core.

ST V3

  • Outbreak is attempted once per target/combat.
  • Hold Shift to force an Outbreak refresh during a longer boss fight.
  • Death Coil is the Runic Power spender in the ST core.

Release the modifier immediately after the intended cast. Ground placement and disease timing should be tested on a dummy before entering a key.

Core and manual controls

Automated core

  • Pet assist and pet attack
  • Controlled Outbreak application
  • Festering Strike and wound-spending cadence
  • Epidemic in AoE
  • Death Coil in ST
  • Cursor or Alt-at-player Death and Decay in AoE
  • Putrefy and Scourge Strike attempts according to the sequence body

Kept manual

  • Target selection and priority swaps
  • Mind Freeze
  • Defensives, Death Strike decisions, and recovery
  • Movement and encounter utility
  • Trinkets
  • Army of the Dead, Apocalypse, Dark Transformation, and encounter-sensitive burst timing unless you intentionally place them on separate controls

GSE requests actions. Resources, cooldowns, range and target state determine successful casts. It does not make encounter decisions.

Historical structure and evidence

Unholy is a two-resource spec with pet state, disease timing, wound economy, and ground placement layered on top. The package was built by separating the parts a fixed sequence can repeat reliably from the decisions that still require encounter awareness.

The AoE and ST bodies deliberately use different weighted structures:

AoE V4 structure Slots per 29-step cycle Purpose
Epidemic 15 Frequent Runic Power drain attempts during multi-target combat
Scourge Strike 5 Repeated wound-spending opportunities
Putrefy 4 Keep the talented rotational strike visible
Festering Strike / talent-modified form 2 Controlled wound generation
Death and Decay 2 Repeated cursor or Alt-at-player placement opportunities
Pet control and Outbreak block 1 Establish pet state and disease once per target/combat
ST V3 structure Slots per 18-step cycle Purpose
Death Coil 7 Frequent single-target Runic Power drain attempts
Scourge Strike 5 Maintain wound-spending cadence
Festering Strike / talent-modified form 3 Rebuild wounds without dominating the loop
Putrefy 2 Preserve the talented rotational strike
Pet control and Outbreak block 1 Establish pet state and disease once per target/combat

The structure came from repeated log review: disease attempts were reduced rather than spammed, pet commands were made explicit, AoE gained a dedicated Runic Power outlet, ST kept Death Coil weighting, and Death and Decay received two clearly defined placement paths.

Slot counts describe how often GSE reaches an action in the body. They do not promise successful casts; runes, Runic Power, cooldowns, range, target state, and the global cooldown still decide what fires.

The author reports Mythic use of both archived modes. Structural checks do not prove current 12.1 performance or superiority over SBA.

Setup and feedback

For archive evaluation, import both modes, verify names/checksums and bind directly in GSE. Test modifiers, pet behavior and ground placement before relying on this historical package.

Include sequence/checksum, WoW/GSE versions, talents, tier count, target count, modifiers and a log timestamp with feedback. Keep private account information out of public reports.

Acknowledgement and changelog

While developing the FLIP sequence library, I learned from strong community sequence authors, including Orbalisk. His readable modifier explanations, manual-cooldown boundaries, and long-term iteration are practices worth keeping.

This Unholy package is independently designed and tested work. The acknowledgement is appreciation, not affiliation or endorsement.

5 September 2026: New artwork and simplified archive layout. No sequence changes and no 12.1 release.

What talents is this for?

Thanks for asking. This is the best archived talent reference I can verify for this package:

CwPAkXBWxkyfx9CbGaHonEAhLBYmhZMDDz2MzMTzmxMzMjBAAAAAAAgZGzYAwyMmZ2MzYMDYzsZYIDMbM0YBDYGAGzMjZAmZmxYA

It appears as the active build in preserved WoW 12.0.7 exports from July 11 and July 15, 2026. I do not have a same-day August 10 talent fingerprint, so I cannot claim this was definitely the posting-day build. Treat it as an archived package reference—not a current 12.1 recommendation.

A fully updated Midnight 12.1 package and talent section are coming soon.

Oh yes thanks ! =)
You really did a lot of groundwork.
