Elune Single Target

If the following works I’ll reupload the Offtank version as well tonight.

Elune ST Macro

If the old single target version does not work try this macro instead.

Cat Weaving

For cat weaving you can try this. Honestly I wouldn’t recommend it as it seems overly complicated and at this point it might be easier to just play the spec.

Main Macro

This is the main Macro. Its basically the same as the old but exported from a newer version of GSE so hopefully it works now. Let me know if it doesn’t.

Wildpower Surge Macro

Use this when you get to 6 stacks of Wildpower Surge

This is a normal macro not a GSE sequence. The issue is that the game seems to get confused when you add Mangle to try to change back to bear form. I’ve tried Spell ID’s as well as Mangle(Cat) and even Mangle(Bear.) Not sure if anyone else has a solution to this.

/castsequence Rake, Rip

A weakaura to track when to use the macro.
Wago

Off Tank Macro

For off tanking you are going to want to go cat I think. For that you will want to use a separate macro. I have no idea what cat macro is good and it might need modification as guardian’s cat form doesn’t generate random combo points. You can try this but a regular cast sequence macro might be better.

The M+ macro parsed as following in the raid:

On dummies unbuffed I’m doing just under 800K with the ST build and using the OT macro 50% of the time. Add in pots, hero, and buffs and I should break 1M pretty easily.

If we look at where this lies on the chart for a fight like Rik (I’m using this as its a fight where I don’t hold back my dps for fear of ripping threat you can see the M+ macro is already pretty close to the cap) switching to the ST build tonight should show significant increases and I’ll post them later.

Sprocket on the other hand looks much worse, with the cap being somewhere around 1.2M I’m guessing. I’ll have to make sure to use pots and the single target build to see where I end up tonight on it.

I know I was loosing a lot of uptime having to run away right before lines blocking me off getting back into melee. I might have to work on pathing. The big thing thats going to add dps though is using the offtank macro that uses maul for dps instead of dumping it into IF like the M+ macro does.

This is my way of saying I don’t think cat weaving is really worth the effort its going to take.

Ok so messed aound with builds on heroic.

  • Vexie was using ST with OT macros. While the parse is good it felt really squishy.
  • Cauldron hit harder so I swapped back to the AOE macro and used the aoe build.
  • On Rik I used the M+ macro with a ST talent build.

Over all I think I like the M+ macro with the single target build the best on ST and Cleave fights. It provides a ton of survivability while still dealing really high damage.

This was the ST talent build:

I didn’t drop Incap for HotW for these logs so it should have been higher on Rik.

  • Note these parses are my first go on heroic so they are while learning mechanics.

I think by tomorrow I should have the top posts updated with everything.

Possible to add mod key for proc of moonfire?

:dizzy: WHOA! Your work is dire commanding me to resurrect my druid from wrath days and give tanking a whirl once more - stellar macro and godly parses! Putting the GUARD back in Guardian :bear:

Yes you can open the macro and change any of the modifiers to moonfire if you wish. I wouldn’t though as you don’t want to manually fire moonfire as its a wasted GCD. If you have a proc and you get a second Moonfire proc your character auto casts the original proc. I also don’t think I’ve ever had a time where a proc went the entire duration without casting Moonfire anyway as Moonfire is more damage than swipe.

I do still use the moonfire, remove curse macro though from the original posts.

Thanks

Realized I never did provide the fresh exported macros for ST and OT. I personally don’t use them but I know some people would prefer to use the Wowhead raid build with maul as the M+ macro doesn’t support maul.

venturing into mplus on my bear with your macros! So far its treating me really well. ill update once I start getting into higher keys!

So in M+ the AOE rotation is ensuring 100% uptime on moonfire than using thrash as much as possible than using Mangle when thrash is on CD and finally using moonfire to fill empty GCD’s.

  • Because the macro doesn’t have built in logic I need to over spam Moonfire as it is by far the most important spell to maintain.
  • Thrash outside of Inarn is a much higher uptime rate, but during incarn because of the lowered CD you will end up missing a lot of these casts because you still need to maintain the moonfire dots.
  • Mangle unfortunately simply doesn’t do enough damage outside of Incarn to be used as much. Though I think on the dummies I was still getting fairly good uptime on it.

Part of this of course is pull size. The larger you pull the more you are going to be needing to use GCD’s on moonfire. If you are finding that its casting moonfire to often there are two things you can do. Pull larger packs together, if you don’t think that is reasonable than you can lower the Moonfire block down one and move the Thrash and or Mangle blocks up one.

So lets take a look at one of my runs:

https://www.warcraftlogs.com/reports/6tBmMXvTqd8bk7WR?fight=7&type=damage-done

Ok from WoWlogs we see I parsed a 99% for the key level and 95% historically.
image

However if I swap over to WoWanalyzer and look at my uptimes you will find them to be pretty abysmal.
50% on Mangle, 82% on Thrash, and 92% on Moonfire.
Because its not a 100% uptime on Moonfire I should be casting it more.
Thrash is missed almost exclusivly during Incarn it looks like. Although I do see some missed here and there. I might need to keep an eye on it though.
Mangle though is horrendous uptime unfortunitly we simply don’t have the GCD’s for it because we still are not at 100% on Moonfire and Thrash.

You will also see only 67% effc on Incarn and 70% on LunarBeam. The reason for this is that I find myself using them for defensive means. I have my pulls in a pretty much set pattern due to both my own CD usage and what the rest of the party can survive which is really my largest factor. Because of this I may sit on Incarn during a single pull than use it for the triple or four pack pull afterwards to make sure I have better mitigation on the opener. However looking at wow analyzer I could probably squeeze in one use of incarn on the opener, and possibly several other places as it looks like there are some pretty big gaps. At least provided it doesn’t mess with my pull pattern. LB is much the same way where I need to sometimes save it in order to ensure I have it for a tank buster or bleed etc.

The macro is what I have found to work best but depending on haste, latency and just pull style you may need to adjust it to work best for you.

Any updates to the cat weaving for raid?

@Hermit cant wait for a talent update and if needed sequence update.

Nothing changed so far. This is Tues of week 3.

So far doing +11’s and I still don’t take much damage so I should be able to push +13’s if I wanted. Damage wise I’m averaging around 3.7M dps with spikes of as high as 17M dps on say the first pull of priory with a 5 pack pull.

These are the normal parses. I’m 6/8 heroic on week 2 but my co tank was grey parsing so I had to stop attacking the boss completely for long periods of time or pull threat and die, so I don’t think they are representative of the macro at this point.

I’ll try again this week but honestly I don’t think it will score high early on in Heroic as most people clearing heroic will not be elune because the damage mitigation requirements are not high and kitty weaving adds a lot to damage.

Have you tried comparing the damage with GSE and Single button rotation?

I was looking at GSE scripts today and wanted to try a couple but on the 5 target dummy I found SBR higher than the AOE script.
AOE: 2mil
ST: 1.9mil
SBR: 2.5mil

Do you get similar results or am I doing something wrong?

I tried SBR and it was a very significant drop in dps.

This is 5 min on 5 dummies at 708 ilvl (I swapped a trinket Tome of Lights Devotion for Signet of Priory for more consistent values) no buffs, flasks, food, runes, pots or oils. Basically gear only.

GSE: Burst was at 8M dps 4.7 total.
image

SBR: Burst capped at 5.2M and 4.2M overall.
image

So a 10.6% loss in total on these runs.

This is the sim to compare:

The real concern though is less that then having full control of Lunar Beam. You don’t want LB used on cool down in a M+ you really want to save it for pulls and tank busters. Its what keeps you alive on bosses like the first boss of priory or the second boss in eco.

As far as why yours might look different you might want to try adjusting your AHK. Different haste values, ping and other factors require differing amounts. I suggest starting at 100 ms and go up and down by 10 ms each test. Though you also want stable gear before doing this as each time your haste value changes you may need to adjust again.

This macro does about as much as a bear can reasonably pull and most of the losses in dps are bad plays on my part either in the way I’m pulling or in errors like a judgment call in holding LB for an up coming pack to be safe instead of using it.

And just to illiterate this with a story prior to today I was pulling the first 5 packs in priory and thought it was a pretty big pull but today I included an additional pack and the mini boss basically clearing everything to the stairs in a single pull. This nets a huge amount of dps and took a 90% damage run and turned it into a 99%.

I think this will be my normal pull and I didn’t need a second charge of SI so I can drop it for more mangle damage and rage. I might also drop something to pick up mark as its a 20% additional damage on that pull. It will also net more damage at the 8 min mark after the first boss particularly if I can pull 4 packs at once and pop a potion and mark on top of incarn. Then use it again with the last two packs dragged into the boss if interrupts are good. I think if I can pull that off I could probably get a 100% parse.

Note also not sure why its showing 2.8M as highest dps in this screenshot when you go into priory and todays run was 3.7M.

I’ve been using this macro for the past 3 days and I absolutely love it - I really appreciate all the hard work you’ve put into making it.

Are you just using aoe throughout or do you use the ST for you m+?

In M+ honestly I just use the aoe now days. I’m just to lazy to have a second macro and it doesn’t make that much of a difference.

In raid you probably should, but I need to work on how to get DotC up there as I’m falling behind on parses pretty significantly with Elune.

A quick Halls of Atonement PUG route for +12’s. I’ll add a video of the next run.

Pull 1: I ignore the Houndmaster pat and pull left side. This means the casters are dead in the opening pull by the time it pats into the pull and ensures no one dies to shots lineing up with aoe and casts from obliterators going off.

Pull 2: Pull with moonfire on the Houndmaster and just pull into a corner and eat everything from the Slasher. Just make sure after every knock up to reposition off the wall or you can get evade bugs.

Pull 3-4: These are pretty standard though in pull 4 you add the slasher as it allows us to skip the double obliterator pull which is dangerous in a pug.

Pull 5 : We head back up the stairs waiting for the slasher to not be attackable. You can add the slasher next to pull 5 in this pack if you want to remove one later on.

Pull 6: Again standard pull. I wait for casters to die than pull in the Grounds keepers.

Pull 7: jump down and grab all three groups. Just make sure to interrupt one of the Houndmasters and hope someone else interrupts the other. Once the two hound masters are dead everything else can be dragged into pull 8.

Pull 8: Again a standard pull you see in just about every route. Make sure to interupt the Houndmaster again as you have extra bears in teh pack now. Once everything is dead except the slasher you can pull him into the boss. I usually wait till about 10% and its ok Just be sure to be quick on your charge for the knockback so it doesn’t cause the boss to move and aim the frontal away from the party. This is really not needed but can save a bit of time.

Pull 10: I’ve never seen anyone else do this pull but its pretty easy pull all three reavers as quick as possible so everything lines up at the same time. Pop Incarn and LB for the first mortal strikes, then use Survival instincts for the second. Make sure to vortex the Anklebiters.

Pull 11: The route map doesn’t show it but there can be a patting Slasher here. You can pull back a bit to avoid pulling it and pull 11 or you can commit to pulling 11 and 12 with the Slasher. It looks scary but its honestly a pretty easy pull if you have both Survival Instinct charges or Mark of the Wild or Incarn. Just plan around a bit of heavy damage. Also if you pull the Slasher here he can knock back into the tree which can cause him to evade for almost 30 seconds so its better to move to the wall instead.

Note: If you didn’t pull the Slasher in the last pack and or the Slasher from pull 5 you can pull these or pull the last two in pull 15. I created this route to ensure butt pulls by people are accounted for. Personally I like just pulling everything in pull 15 but you can split it as you see fit.

Pull 14: A pretty dangerous pull. Make sure you have Incarn rolling as you go into the pull as it can be a lot of upfront burst damage. I always target one of the Houndmasters and make sure to interrupt it. If the bears enrage its best to pop Roar and kite them outside to the last boss.

Pull 15: Standard pull and add as many Slashers as you need. Pull back into the previous room and into a corner. If you pull both slashers here save both Survival instinct charges. I use them and eat all of the frontals.

Pull 17: I see a lot of people not using CD’s here. Pop everything you have. This add can waste a lot of time and you save more time here using CD’s then you do on the last boss which doesn’t hurt the tank at all and is more a mechanical fight then anything.

Pull 18: When its the soak phase try standing inside the bosses hit box. You can get 2-4 soaks depending on how well you position which can save the healer a lot of healing.

We can see here that the second hero was a bit of a waste. We could have better utilized it on packs 10-12 and still had it up in the same spot later.

Healing was pretty light for both me and the healer and a LOT of it was over healing.

The healing spike you see at the 6 min mark is pull 5. The hunter had CC’ed the patting Houndmaster so I pulled it into pull 5 but we missed both kicks which is to much even for SI as its 4 bears double enraged. I used roar to kite but happened to pull the gargoyle on top of it… It wasn’t a wipe but it could and probably should have been.

I used this route on my last run through. Slightly different than what I did before but it worked quite well.

I’ve ran it several times now and there are a couple of possible pain points but I like that there is built in count safety where if you pull Slashers early (but pulls or just impatient or slow dps) you can adjust on the fly by not pulling them in pack 15 without having to try do do math on the fly or alter the route really.

I know on a Quazii clear I saw he had a timer above the slashers heads telling you when they wake up and sleep and I need to make for that yet.

A timer would really be a big help - can’t tell how many times i’ve stopped and waited as I had no idea how long till they change and it never fails if I don’t wait they change as we’re passing by…
