@Hermit . Why do you have rake in a preferred M+ build? You cannot cat weave in mythic dungeons- well, you can, but you would die pretty fast
For the 15% speed.
There are a ton of talents that are variable in the class tree.
There are several other variants but the build is really about the spec talents more than anything. I like the speed buff as I find it give me an extra global to gain threat and pugs are less inclined to pull for me.
For example this week I droped Improved Stampeding roar for Incap roar to deal with the ascension affix.
AOE macro updated for the new build. Version 1 is what its always been, version 2 which is now the default is used for the newer M+ build. All it does is remove raze.
I think the ST macro is fine as its now been tested in all but 2 M+'s up to a +5 at 602 and worked just fine.
Updated the build portion of the post to be more readable and allow people who are having issues with importing the build to be able to do it on their own.
Updated current progress, that way newer users can see what they can expect.
Changed banner to the new art style. I have two up right now but I donāt know if I want to go with the version with a beard or without. Iām leaning towards without but we can make it a community vote if you guys want.
I have a new video edited and ready to go but youtube is being a pain in the rear with not allowing me to upload it. Once I get that all figured out Iāll try to upload more often and make some guides specific to this macro for each dungeon.
I havenāt fixed the UI but after the video goes up Iāll work on that next as there have been three separate people who want to use it.
Ok I think thats about it for now.
Hey there Hermit,
I love the macro work. curious. Are you able to get any haste?? I canāt get haste anywhere near what I like in this expansion. In bear form Iām only at about 13%. ivl 604. I was at 40% in DF.
Thank you.
For the first tier we wonāt see anywhere near the haste levels we did last expansion. 14% is good right now, thats what Iām sitting at. If I can get the egg trinket from Ara-Kara it will go up to 15% to maybe 16%. With the best gear and targeted itemization people are able to get it to 22% but thats out of reach for your normal player.
Here is the top bear right now in M+:
The number two druid actually has more haste but after that it looks like most bears are sitting close to 17%.
Having great results so far in M+. Did several +7s (608 ilvl) and currently sitting close to 2k rating. Thanks for the macro and looking forward to future updates, if any!
Hi, Im very new to this and trying to see if I can get it to work, this AHK script what does it do? and do I need to keybind in game somthing for it ?
AHK is short for autohot key its a program that will allow you to hold a button down and it will simulate button presses. The script there was just for people who need it. Alternatively you can use razor software if you are using a razor keyboard. Alternatively you can use the in game option press and hold casting to do it although I donāt know at what speed they simulate button presses.
While they are not needed to run the macro they keep ability usage consistent and save your wrists from carpel tunnel. Please note however that if you use the AHK script in the start of this thread that the macro needs to be key bound to 2 and 3 (unlike the brackets shown in the video.) This can cause issues in vehicle combat and flying as keys 2 and 3 will no longer cast those vehicle spells.
In order to use the macro you will need to import it and keybind it. The following video can walk you through that.
Ok so I was finally able to upload the video, I also got the resolution corrected. The audio is extremely load however despite being at 10% during the editing process. Looks like the next step will be working on adding a voice over so I can start doing guides. Thanks for your patience guys.
is there any good single target?
Do you mean macro?
The ones presented are parsing in the 80% or better for raid. Iāve found however that in M+ I no longer even use the single target macro. The minor damage increase is not worth the loss in additional mitigation with the current M+ build.
If you meant video I do have some raw footage I could upload but Iāve been trying to think of how to do guides in a unique way that isnāt just a copy of Quazii or others. I think just going through a run in real time and breaking down all of my mistakes with an effort to improve might be unique as I donāt think Iāve ever seen that. With that in mind Iāve been spending the morning trying to come up with a format for it. But if you need some raid footage I could try to get it up by Mon.
so u use only the gh aoe macro yes?
Iāve been following your macro and the original for a very long time. I always come back to bear. I started off the season playing Prot Warrior and switching between that and DH, which are now around the 610 mark. I decided to give this a go, and even at 590, this macro is so tanky in comparison. Iāve never had a DPS butt-pull and thought, āOkay, here we go,ā but itās just smooth, amazing throughput. Please, if and when possible, keep working on thisāit is great.
Though I have a minor request regarding adding modifiers: I must be missing something, because for the life of me, when I try to edit it myself, I simply canāt get them to work. Could you perhaps give me a quick example of how youād add a Shift and Alt modifier for me to implement myself, and what to remove? Some blocks contain [mod:shift/alt]
, and when I try to remove and add the standard /cast [mod:shift] xxxx
, it simply doesnāt work for me. If not, Iām sure Iāll figure it out eventually.
Sorry for the long-winded message; I just want to emphasize that this macro is amazing.
Thanks!
In M+ dungeons, Iāve been mostly using the AoE macro. Instead of the single-target macro in M+, I started experimenting with replacing it with a Lunar Beam/Thrash macro (which you can find in the second post under guides). Press it twice when entering combat to help with the initial pulls survivability and secure aggro quickly. However, I think it could benefit from a combat reset to avoid Thrash getting stuck on cooldown if used at the start of a pull.
While the single-target macro is an option in M+, it doesnāt offer much more DPS. This is mainly because the build lacks talents for Maul, Mangle, or Raze. Any rage used on Maul can be redirected to Ironfur instead, which provides similar damage as it scales with more armor while also giving you some defensive value. In M+, that extra defense is essentialāaround +8, mobs can get dangerously close to one-shotting you, and certain bosses, like the second boss in Grim Batol during the sword phase, can hit exceptionally hard.
In raids, though, itās a different story. Youāll want to use the raid build that includes Mangle, Maul talents, and Scintillating Moonlight (which, if memory serves, increases DPS for these abilites by around 20%). For raids, I use the single-target macro when actively tanking, and then I switch to an off-tank macro when Iām not taking damage. The off-tank macro doesnāt use defensives and dumps all rage into Maul for maximum DPS.
That said, if youād rather not juggle different macros between bosses, itās not a huge deal. The AoE macro still puts out decent damage. Here are my Heroic parses from last week, where I only used the AoE macro since I was already pulling threat from my co-tank. On Sikran, I even had to stop DPS entirely whenever I wasnāt actively tanking.
To be fair, most of the heavy lifting has been done by folks like Viktory and Oak. I just make minor tweaks here and there, but thank you for the kind words!
As for lines like:
/cast [nomod:shift/alt, nochanneling, combat] Thrash
This means it wonāt cast Thrash if youāre holding a modifier key down (shift or alt, in this case). The difference here is in the NOmod
capped here only.
The only line with an actual modifier is this one:
/cast [mod:alt] Frenzied Regeneration; [nomod, combat, nochanneling] Ironfur
So if youāre not holding a modifier, it will use Ironfur. If you hold alt and have enough rage, it will cast Frenzied Regeneration.
Looking back, I probably shouldāve removed the nomod from one of the Thrash lines, so that if you donāt have enough rage, it will cast Thrash first and then use the rage for Frenzied Regeneration.
If you want to add more modifiers, you can modify this line to look like this:
/cast [mod:alt] Frenzied Regeneration; [mod:shift] Lunar Beam; [mod:ctrl] Incarnation; [nomod, combat, nochanneling] Ironfur
Hope that help explain it a bit better.
Hello! I was wondering if itās possible to add Ravage to fire off only when I have enough rage? I have /cast [combat, nochanneling] Ravage on top of every line and it works however it only fires off if I have enough rage so it hangs until then. Is there another way to add it so it gets ignored until I have the rage? I know itās not part of your macro but not too sure where to ask lol Love the macro btw!
i play the build now like 8h and works rly rly great (only the aoe macro)
iam totaly fine with it i will do with my drood only m+ not more.
btw iam in leveling phase it works great no aggro problems so far =)
Good to hear. Aggro problems didnāt really occur for me until mid keys in M+. There are a couple of classes like fury warrior where if they burst out the gate a single thrash or moonfire on pull isnāt going to keep threat. If you look through the video posted in the first post youāll notice I started using Lunar beam on pull to help with that and Gar who was the DK was holding back to let me build aggro.
I do apologize but I havenāt worked at all with any druid of the claw builds yet as they are weaker defensively. With that said the build is ok as it trades defensive value for more damage.
I havenāt looked into ravage in particular and would need to see if the spell id of maul changes when you have the proc. This would be the best case scenario as the macro is going to run into a pretty significant issue. During aoe you are going to want to be using Raze as much as possible while maintaining fewer Ironfur stacks than the current macro (it would be closer to previous versions) however ravage doesnāt proc off raze, so it also needs to cast maul but canāt check the conditions needed to know when to do so. So you now have three rage spenders that need to be cast conditionally which the macro canāt handle.
The best way I think would be to use a pre oak version of the macro as these had decent Raze to Ironfur ratios and than use a modifier to cast ravage only when it procs.
If you donāt want to worry about raze I would instead use the single target macro as the major difference in that particular macro is the inclusion of Maul which should cast Ravage when it procs (at least I think it should.)
ah ok ty. i was under the impression the claw build was better but ill give the other 1 a go
so just a quick question do we HAVE to use the moonfire macro in order to run the sequence efficiently or does it just make it better, because im seeing moonfires on every pull i do
