no need to apologize,
the reason for both is the short cooldowns and damage DPS boost they provide its worth while to keep them up constantly.

In a PVP scenario possibly better for the player to fire off. but in PVE content most fears ignore PoF as do most snares which you can use Wraith walk to get around.

Cheers, TBH it depends on the situation as the only real difference is the DFST has more Obliterates making it more suited for single target boss fights. whereas the AOE is almost exclusively Frost Scythe. which is perfect for Trash.
For Mythic+ I can’t see any reason why you could just use the AOE version, note also the macros were developed at the time the Machinegun setup was the only way to pull decent DPS in all content to the ST and AoE are more suited to Raids using one on trash an the other on bosses.

I usually have an ingame latency of 60ms, what would be the ideal delay I should have on my macro? I’m using a razer keyboard

Im using Logitec equipment, with it to .075 not sure if Razor are the same.
I have no difference in performance on my main server @220ms latency or on Oceanic @64ms latency

Now the new patch is live. and I have double checked the macros and they work fine as they are so at this stage
there is no real need for me to update at this stage.

Due to stat squish I have only noticed a tiny dps loss (5-10k at most) but once they have updated the sim for the current changes and I have adjusted my gear it should be non-existant

Is Breath of Sindy the new hotness?? on paper possibly in practice I don’t know,
in my testing yeah I can get huge numbers but falls below both machinegun and Oblit builds as soon as the fight goes over 2 minutes.

The challenge would be to create a macro that can keep Breath up for enough to flow straight into the next
and develop sequence that can generate RP and maintain a semblance of DPS.

Not a fan of Breath. Even when executed perfectly, it’s lackluster. Not seeing a lot of chatter of people really liking it.

Yeah, and the demo vid bragging about 2min uptime are on static targets (training Dummies)
having seen what’s in night hold there is no way you could pull it off flawlessly without assistance and not stand in the fire. Its burst is great for pvp but if you don’t kill in that window you’re boned.

AOEDF was working great ,but after todays patch GSE doesnt work and i cant use macro .Any one else with this problem and how to fix it ? i dont see any update for gse

ok below is copied from my Blood DK thread but if anyone still using GS-E like me this is a work around.
Yes, but there is a temporary work around.
what you do is open in notepad the Startup file in the GS-Core folder.
once open either press Ctrl+f or select using tabs via edit-find
in the find pop-out type: if specID > 15, and hit enter

this will move you to the secion in the file that looks like this:


  if specID > 15 then
    GSPrintDebugMessage(L["Checking if specID "] .. specID .. " " .. specclass .. L[" equals "] .. currentenglishclass)
  else
    GSPrintDebugMessage(L["Checking if specID "] .. specID .. L[" equals currentclassid "] .. currentclassId)

all you need to do is a double – to the start of those lines only so it look like this:

OK fist I did an update to the OP now I have a stable 2.0 GSE.

DFST and AOE are both a frost scythe machinegun build macros. DFST is a Tuned version of AOE that had more Obliterates for single target fights. However, since Machinegun is no longer the hotness after a few round of buffs, DFST is redundant with many Preferring AOEDF in Mythic+ I will rename it FrostScythe from now on.

Oblit is an Obliteration build that puts out serious single target damage with little cleave from HB and RW making it more suitable for the Raider

At this stage no idea, I know there are some issues with GSe2 but I have tested again and it works.
as many are having issues, rather than copy paste into the import window of the addon
have you tried to cut and paste each section in the editor window instead. as i enter these manually perhaps the import tool is buggy. at this stage I don’t know

When trying to import these macros I get a message that says macro cannot be imported. Any idea how to fix

somethings been bugging me, wouldn’t it be a dps increase if you leave out howling blast of the macro and only hit it to refresh frost fever and when you get rime procs?
