Hi all,
I wanted a one button rotation while binding it to my mouse scroll up button, single target and aoe, with conditionals. Oh and i also wanted it to always start with moonfire when a new target.
Thxz to Oak for his tutorials, the other profiles already on here and ofcourse TimothyLuke for all his work on GSE.
This macro contains 1 macro template. This Sequence was exported from GSE 3.2.01-6-g184b303.
Summary:
No need to bind the G_ST and G_AOE after that, the spam macro in 2 calls them.
Default it will use ST (Maul) , while holding alt AOE (Raze).
Shift is for Frenzied Regen, Ctrl Berserk but could also be other GSE click macros even.
Reapply Moonfire manual when needed else put it somewhere in the lower parts of the ST and AOE sequence.
Not sure if this is the right way but thought i’d share it to improve or use it as a template for other profiles. Thx
Mm weird, try deleting the sequence, reload gse and import it fresh again.
With another warlock macro im currently making i had something simular, could not fix it but after resetting/deleting/reloading stuff the errors were gone.
Dwarfvader, you are a godsend. I have been pouring over WoWLazyMacros, watching the videos, trying to make sense of all the changes and praying to the Blizzard Gods they fix their Action Bar problems and let me play the way I a want to play with a controller.
It’s one thing when Blizz changes talents and nerf things, it’s another when they interfere with the one thing that has helped me keep playing with my disabilities! I had pre-emptively cancelled my 1 year sub because of their broken changes.
You have given me a stepping stone to the way I play. For example, you have Frenzied Regen built in and I like to keep it separate.
I never cared to be top DPS or survive Mythic+ … I just want to be the average, casual player that uses a controller for comfort.
Thx so much for the kind words, means a lot.
Let me know if you have specific wishes, mm let me rephrase that, let us know as a GSE community if you have specific sequence wishes. The bulk of the profile creators here are awesome and always willing to help where they can.
Enjoy.
Going to give this a shot today. First time bear tanking lets goo!
First dungeon tanked went super smooth. I did encounter one bug which might be with GSE and not the macro itself. While I used dash and went into cat form I have the macro on cat and when I used it, GSE error popped up saying disable or ignore and would not work I had to manually change into bear form then reload and it worked again fine.
I haven’t figured out what makes your macro great yet.
Any other macros so far, I’ve imported the macros and followed the steps…
did:
/m
and in my macro to bind:
/click SEQUENCE
and even tried
/click [nomod] SEQUENCE
and it works great on my keybind of “]” but for the life of me it does not work when I bind it to PAD2 of the controller using the GSE interface and “Special” keys to select PAD2… but yours works.
Just for giggles, I should parse your “macro” that calls both sequences in your setup and see if a simple: “/click G_ST” will still work. That may be the next step in my troubleshooting and understanding for other macros.
If that doesn’t work, I’ll be looking forward to other works with something similar to your approach.
I tried editing my post with my findings but for some reason it wouldn’t let me.
I modified the “macro” text you provided to do ONLY /Click [nomod] G_ST and tried it on a dummy. As expected, it complained when I was not in Bear Mode, but executed normally once I manually moved to Bear mode. So, for me, the difference lies within how the SEQUENCE is programmed.
Looking at other threads and their setup, they have it set as a “Macro” in GSE wherein you have it set as a “Spell”
Whether that is intentional or not, that is why yours works for my particular case and others don’t when I try to follow the video setups provided and “bind” it to my controller.
Do you play other specs and will I be seeing other setups from you?
Hi, correct, as i understood it from the video of Oak, using a /click main macro (which calls/activates the spells in the sequence(s)) can only be done if the sequence(s) are using separate spells in each block only. As Oak explained in his video.
All the conditionals i use have to be in the main click macro and cannot be in the sequence(s).
So that is the reason the main macro has the alt/shift modifiers, the bear form and moonfire at newtarget etc… Not suited for every spec because WoW macro’s (the click macro) have a 255 character limit.
I play other specs and will eventually post more, i have posted a simular setup for my balance druid. And not posted (i can if you like but wanted to wait after the prepatch) but I also have a simular click macro setup for my unholy dk, destro warlock, bm hunter, prot paladin and making ret pala soon.
Not sure what im doing wrong but this does not appear to be calling the G_ST or G_AOE macro when i spam the macro in 2
I have imported them both and they appear in my sequances
But all spamming the macro in 2 does is change me into bear form, casts mooonfire and then does nothing other than melee
I am not using any automation software outside of WoW but i quess around 100ms will do fine.
Barkskin, you can add any spell in the sequence at the end and it will do fine.
Barkskin is off the gcd so you can also add Barkskin to the click macro. 254 out of max 255 characters
