UPDATE: I have found a temporary slight fix to the issue with blindside and mutilate/ambush. This is in no way a solution as I believe this problem is a bug on blizzard’s end and will probably take a while to get fixed, but in the meantime I found something.
After you get a blindside proc the macro will stall, but I found if you manually cast mutilate once yourself right after the blindside proc is consumed then the macro will continue as normal. It’s not ideal but for now it kinda works as best it can. This temp fix works whether you add the $$ or not so if you added them it’s fine to leave them. Macro is unchanged otherwise.
It’s a PVE macro.
No AOE macro as of yet but there’s some AOE included in the talents with Shiv hitting in an AOE. Just be aware of the temp fix post I made above that requires you to manually press Mutilate after a blindside proc to reset the skill ID as there’s currently a bug with macros and the blindside talent.
I dont even use blindside talent. And even so the macro stops after a while. Idk, the reason as well. But if i continue to press the opner and main macro at the same time, after a couple seconds go back to normal. like 3-6. which is a dps loss but completely fine, unless u r trying to do high M+ or pvp. But for me as casual, not a big deal at all. Maybe this info help u somehow.
I would suggest not using the opener currently. Assassination as a whole is currently bugged because of how Mutilate and Ambush interact. I have an open ticket and am waiting for a response.
Hello! I just downloaded GSE and trying to figure out how to use it. Im doing something wrong! I got your macro in but it does nothing when I hold SHIFT, only when I push it with no mod and it only uses the first skill, doesnt continue. I can manually push the button over and over and itll cast up to Echoing but seems to stop after that. Im super noob to this and not sure if i can be helped but does someone have any idea? Ive tried to find videos but nothing is helping my issue. Thanks so much.
Shift does nothing because I removed the OPENER macro temporarily. Assassination is currently bugged because of an interaction between the Blindside talent and macros in general, not just GSE. As someone new to GSE I would avoid using any macro for Assassination until this bug is resolved by blizzard. Or if you want to attempt to still use it, if you read a few posts up, I have a temporary fix to make the macro not stall.
did you remove blind too because it never went off for me. So I manually hit blind and the macro didnt stop working for me, i never had to manually hit mutilate.
I have a newly minted (enhanced boost) assassination rogue, and looking for a good general macro. Based on discussions in this thread, my question is, is this macro not functioning overall, or just not final because because of recent blizzard bugs, but it’s ok to use?
