Something happened recently and this isn’t working as well for AOE as it used to. In particular, it doesn’t seem to be maintaining Whirlwind properly leading to a large drop in DPS for multiple targets.
Tested on target dummies @ 130 MS Ilvl 442 (statted for arms not fury) achieved sustainable 200k dps with a 380k burst dps on target dummies, potential for higher with proper stats (mastery is well below what it should be for fury)
For ST - achieved 108k burst, settled down to a steady 75-80k sustained dps, not perfect but again, stat weights aren’t correct for fury, with the proper gear/stats this would be higher so yeah…another great macro from MMA
Edit got bored and re-statted to fury, Mastery Haste, this thing slaps!
400k burst settled to 230-240k sustainable damage
Frenzy - 99% upkeep
Enrage - 94% upkeep
thanks for testing, have no good gear to test but i am not sure how much has changed with 8.2. for fury. But will have a look in the future when i have full tier set
example on gnarlroot, whole fight you just use single/raid macro on entire fight? or switch to aoe macro when the plants ads spawn? then when all mobs dead. boss is left you switch back to raid macro?
Tested Single Target/Raid - 4 minutes @ Animated Duelist
for raid the rotation for single and aoe is quite the same, you can use whirlwind a bit more if you have more targets for a long time. that is more important for m+, the normal cleave in raid not so much. The only difference is that the aoe macro is using a bit more ww
