I rarely ever run into mana issues? Are you using flash heal and shadowfiend procs? I have flash heal as a shift modifier on there so you can use it for cheap and fast atonement applies
I always carry mana drinks but I’m usually fine and I usually just use mana drinks out of habit.
I’ve got no luck with this one, at the training dummies it just spams shadow word pain, if i stop and start again then it just spams smite. Goes back and forth between leaving and redoing combat

What dobby said. If you don’t have someone in your party and it’s a healing dummy you’ll have to click it and hover over its frame or just hover your mouse over it. It’s better to test it in a delve or a follower dungeon so you can mouseover and make sure the [targettarget] is working because that makes penance work really well. You can just spam the sequence and penance will lock on to whoever is targeted (usually the tank). Or just hover over frames. I use this in mythic 15s now. Pretty much just spamming the sequence and using shadowfiend procs with the shift mod and I use click casting with danderframes so I’ll have penance on left click if I need it for emergency’s but that’s just me being overly cautious.
wouldn’t it make more sense to put sw:p on a mod key instead of casting it multiple times? during leveling, i came across multiple situations where the 4 swp casts were just taking too long before the macro actually starts pumping up the tank.
Can defintely add it as a mod key. I have it bound to a side mouse button, but can easily add it as a ctrl modifier.
Im not sure what you mean though because even if its on a mod key you would still have to spread it. so its either spread it with the same key + the modifier or spread it with a mouse button or key. Regardless I can add it as a ctrl modifier. Oh, i think i didnt add it because of the character length in the blocks. I think most would hit the limit. i can check it out
yeah, you need to spread it but having the sequence fire it 4 times before it actually starts with penance feels like a bit too much. it doesn’t have to be in all blocks either. i think it’s just more qol to cast it once, maybe with something like /castsequence reset=target or such? that way, if you’d stick to the same target, it would sooner start firing penance for example. if you switch to the next target, it’d go back and do sw:p first again. (at least that’s the way it’s working in my mind right now)
ooooh can’t this be done by putting the sequence in a loop itself, like with macros? i mean we can call macros in the sequence, can’t we do the same with sequences? that way, it could be seperated and always just cast sw:p on target swap before starting with the normal sequence?
I remember reading about the embedded sequences and got excited and then completely forgot about it. I’ll look into it again. I remember reading some cool stuff on it. I can def test some out and see. I probably won’t change much as I like where it’s at but, if it works how I remember reading it than it may not be a big deal
It is gear dependant, but the thing killing your mana is PW: Radiance. I changed it to Evangelism and just press PW:Radiance manually now. Fixed all mana issues. This GSE is tempermetal though, sometimes it just spams Smite, other times is runs the actual macro. When it works, its amazing.
i dont know what mana issues u r talking about, im far from geared and yes i take my drinks, but no need for pots in mythics at all. The macro works, 100 % , nothing to do with GSE. U hear others talking about it ? On other toons? Hardly. So the most obvious conclusion if something doesnt work for the few in a thread but very well for others, its addons, or wow repair needed, or settings, but most likely not the sequence.
I’m not sure what’s going on lol but I appreciate both of yall using the macro and that it’s doing well for you.
As for the mana issue, I don’t personally experience it. That doesn’t mean you don’t. There so many variables that cause mana to fluctuate. You may be doing more healing on specific pulls than others. If your mythic group is slow at killing you’re going to go through more mana. I will say as a disc is one of if not the most mana hungry healer. Especially after midnight came out. Disc lost a lot of passive regen tools. Even before then it was more mana hungry. If all healers are playing their class correct you will never have more mana than a holy priest, holy paladin or resto Druid. Anyways, I’m ranting but I always carry mana drinks. I’ve been a healer since vanilla wow, so it’s like 2nd nature to drink mana drinks. I did however do tests because of your comment and I think one more and I didn’t really have mana issues and I’m not running myth 5s I’m running 14 to 17s.
The issue with smite and power radiance. The sequence runs on a standard sequential loop. So if you’re getting back to back radiance it’s most likely because all other cooldowns are down or while radiance is casting your mashing the button and it’s skipping blocks. As for power ward shield Is a ctrl modifier. It will a lot of time cast after penance but if it doesn’t and you have a good shield proc hold ctrl and your keyboard button and the next move will fire off power/void shield. Make sure you’re using that modifier. The sequence will never be perfect there will be times where void shield is popping off and times where you’re like where the heck am I in the cycle lol where is void shield. This is just limitations of the GSE and wow. So make sure you use ctrl for void shield, make sure you’re always using shadowfiend procs. I never cast flash heal without a proc or shadowfiend proc. It’s a waste of mana when procs are free or reduced. It doesn’t heal enough to warrant a cast without a proc. Another thing and you may be doing this already but I’m just trying to go over most situations. But use the hell out of Evangelism. I pop that as soon as it’s up as long as we are fighting something.

Hey - just want to pick up on this and ask what you mean by skipping blocks by spamming the button. How exactly do you use the macros yourself, do you have an AHK script running at a certain ms or something else?

What parts are skipping? Did you use this before the 12.0.5 update? If so, did it skip then?
If this is the first time post 12.0.5 i may need to push an update with a slight talent update as well.
i didn’t use it before the patch - but it will work fine for a bit then just start spamming SW:Pain or Smite until I hard reset the sequence
