Mob's Restoration Shaman | Farseer | Mythic+ | Midnight 12.0.5 | 4/25/2026

Hey everyone, Mob here.

Bringing the Resto Shaman Farseer build to the lineup. This one is built around the Riptide-into-Chain-Heal heartbeat that defines the spec, with mouseover-priority targeting so you can spot heal whoever needs it without losing your sustained group healing.

How the heal sequence works

The sequence runs as a Sequential Loop, eight blocks long. Every spell in it benefits from something in the cycle.

The loop opens with Healing Stream Totem to catch Stormstream procs and start the totem ticking. Then back-to-back Riptides to tag two party members and build Tidal Waves stacks. Next is Unleash Life, which spawns an Ancestor and buffs the upcoming Chain Heal by 25 percent with reduced cast time. Chain Heal then jumps from the Riptide-tagged allies for the Flow of the Tides bonus, eating the Unleash Life buff. Ancestral Swiftness fires next, making the next cast instant and free with a 10 percent damage and healing bonus, plus another Ancestor. Chain Heal consumes the Ancestral Swiftness proc for a free instant heal. The cycle closes with another Riptide to keep stacks rolling for the next pass.

Two Chain Heals per cycle, both buffed. Three Riptides per cycle to keep HoTs spread across the party. Healing Stream Totem catches every Stormstream proc the rotation generates.

It is important to set up the SHIFT modifier as this is what lets you cast healing wave. Since chain heal eats a lot of mana you want to use healing wave for single target when the whole group doesn’t need healing. It’s too random to put both in the sequence, so making one a modifier is the route to go.

Targeting

Every heal in the sequence uses mouseover priority with a target’s-target fallback. If your mouse is over a friendly raid frame, the heal goes there. If not, it falls back to your target’s target, which is usually the tank when you’re DPSing into the pack. Final fallback is yourself.

Keep your mouse off enemy nameplates when you want heals on the tank. Mouseover on an enemy means the targettarget fallback hits the tank correctly. Mouseover on a friendly raid frame overrides everything and heals that person.

Modifiers

Shift + key fires Healing Wave on the same mouseover and targettarget chain as the rest of the sequence. Pull this when someone is dropping fast and you need a real single-target heal. The cast benefits from any Tidal Waves stacks you have built up from the loop, so it lands faster than baseline.

Alt + key fires Ascendance. Press it when raid damage is coming, then immediately go back to spamming the main button. Chain Heal during Ascendance jumps to three extra targets and only loses 10 percent per jump instead of 30. Healing Wave during Ascendance always crits and cleaves for 50 percent.

DPS sequence

A separate DPS sequence is bundled in the export string for filler damage during downtime.

What stays manual on your bar

Spirit Link Totem stays manual because positioning matters. You want to drop it where the group is stacked, not at your feet from wherever you happen to be standing.

Earth Shield needs manual maintenance on your tank, plus yourself if you have Elemental Orbit. Refresh it before it expires.

Mana warning

Two Chain Heals per cycle is a lot. Sustained spamming will drain your mana in roughly 45 seconds. The off switch is to stop spamming when the group is full. Run Riptides between packs and let the HoTs do the work, then spam during damage phases. Mana management is part of playing this spec.

Hey Mob, so I got a old my Restro Shaman out the stable. I really am not a ace when it comes to healing techniques. Currently, I am lvl 64 and have enjoyed your macro thus far. I am taking it easy doing a few TW, and a level appropriate dungeon. I look for any updates, but so far, I am liking it,

Fred

glad you’re liking it. sometimes its difficult when you need to get a rip tide on someone, i may add in a ctrl modifier if you need to rip tide everyone. i wish i could automate it all into one button but will healing sequences its a bit hard. its not necesay for lower level content but once you get max level and raid and do mythic dungeons you need that extra control which is why healing wave is on a shift mod so you can use your single target whenever. keep me updated on your progress.
